like the other day there was a sudden gust of wind in the middle of a clear day and it threw chairs over and I just went “really, I mean come on”

odysseus absolutely does present a threat to penelope if he perceives her as at all unfaithful, and i feel the unfairness of this, and i think people tend to undersell how much tension at least potentially exists between odysseus and penelope. but i'm also like. his reaction, all speculation aside, his actual reaction in the odyssey to her flirting with the suitors is delight, because he immediately ascertains that she is running a con. sorry that they're so in-sync in spite of the forces that try to drive a wedge between them, including their own misgiving hearts. sorry that they invented homophrosyne ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I thought so too!!! I actually came up with the idea some months ago but I daydreamed a lot more details while listening to waterfall by fish in a birdcage lol

okay so it’s in the style of a play where most of the scenes take place at a waterfall, there are two main characters, two teenage boys and it takes place in roughly the 80s. One boy is always sitting at the waterfall because he wants to get away and he has really bad depression where he’s almost killed himself there several times, his parents are dead and he has a hard time getting along with his foster parents so he goes to the waterfall to get away

another guy enters running and scrambles up the rocks to the waterfall bc he’s running off (since his parents started fighting a lot, he’s gotten into a lot of trouble and getting into a lot of fights, he enters with some bruises and stuff and in order to get up the other guy needs to help him up

ok so he keeps coming back, and they become close friends and they spend all day at the waterfall for years and years and there’s a bit of yearning on both sides but one day they ignore the violent thunderstorm alert on the radio and eventually it arrives and the og waterfall guy falls off and hits his head and gets into a coma. For months, the other guy would still visit the waterfall and just like cry, one day he decides this is all his fault and he wants to die, but before he can jump off, he hears someone stumbling around, it’s the other boy’s foster mom. They talk for a while about a lot of things, and at the end of their conversation and the story the play ends by someone running up and announcing the other guy woke up
