"Losing an eye used to be a punishment to taunt those longing for wealth they did not posses, in our lines."
Her voice sounded like thevother woman had struck a bit of a nerve, as if she knew someone who had a similar predicament. Maybe somewhat surprisingly, she offered the woman a handshake - to be taken with Cinders good hand, out of respect - though she kept her gloves on for it.
"If you were to try and hurt her, your other eye would've been en route to never make a recovery, either. I'm part of her personal guard. And probably the most reasonable out of us. Pleasure to meet you, señora."
🍒 (From Cinder)
🍒 - Give them a cuddle hug!
After a short second of time, that she had to take to compose herself not to break this womans anything, Siennas reacted. She barely knew this woman, knew not wether she had good or bad Intentions, and so her body reacted. By throwing a heavy chop to the others side.

"Now put yourself in Siennas shoes. Used to her life being threatened, quick and heavy reflexes about her back, and in addition to that difficult times ahead of her."
The woman leaned back just a little bit, but showed no signs of relaxing any time soon. "Would you have reacted any different than she did? Or more importantly - would you have reacted as harmless as she did? If you knew most people approaching you such to be after your life?"

The woman then quickly sat down next to her, at a reasonable distance.
"Notice how awkward it feels to have a stranger do that to you?" The womans voice was clear, yet strained. Like she was trying to have her voice sound as clear as it did here. Her posture resembled Siennas in general, but seemed a bit forced onto herself.

Once Cinder would have found a place to think, she would - after a few minutes - find a woman hugging her, the same way Cinder had just tried hugging Sienna. It was a large frame of a woman, most likely in her late twenties, maybe early thirties. She also sported ears not unlike Siennas, though they were pointier, and in only one colour.

"Congratulations! Fridge will be delivered shortly. All it took was an incredibly obvious situation and me outright telling so." After that short trailoff into biting sarcasm, her voice effortlessly returned to normal. She normally suffered fools gladly, they made for amusing stories to set people straight with, but this one was just getting on her nerves. Obviously a newbie in these parts, but at least he kept ettiquette. As tempting it was to challenge it, as little interest Valo had to actually make conversation with thisbperson anymore.
At least she was almost done with her work here. "As for what's in there? Darling, you've obviously never heard of me, have you?" Trick question - unless he met her personally before, he wouldn't have. Those that have met her before don't really talk about it, she made sure of that.

“Why do I exclusively hire idiots?” A female voice could be heard deeper into the room our ‘hero’ just crashed into, alongside a sound that could only be associated with melting down metal. However, there was a surprising lack of a blowtorch-esque sound. Valo had heard someone drop in on her work, now knowing full well she’d at least not have to pay her guards anymore. They didn’t do their job, so why should she pay them a single Lien more than what they fired away in ammunition. If they wanted to protest that, it’d just be some fun on the side.
Without exactly looking up from what she was doing - which, at least for whoever just dropped in, would look a lot like lasering open the safe of a rather well-visited Hotel - or stopping to do so, the girl adressed whoever was behind her now. “What do you want? Kinda working here.”
She really hadn’t the nerve for another someone to try and make their name on her behalf, and barely had the nerve to even give the common courtesy of a greeting. But, she wasn’t educated to be impolite. Standard protocol, always keep to a neutral tone.

"I did say they were my hired goons, but I never said anything about ownership around here. If I were to own a place like this, would you truly expect me to get my hands dirty down here? I'd be chugging some expensive drinks with high-class friends, masterfully fake-laughing about their terrible jokes."
She gently moved her second hand around, catching the lock she had successfully cut out, before going to work on the locking mechanism itself. Not too badly done, but this was still childs play. A few more minutes, all it took. If she could focus, that is.
"Relief to know what sort of client I'm dealing with though. A snitch, and someone who hides more than they let on. Usually my policy is to know about the systems I'm testing, and the content that awaits me. Easier to resist the urge of just not returning it, you see." Her oldest lie in the book. Testing the alarm systems, to check how easy it would be to circumnavigate tje respective alarms. It was a surprisingly booming job, not just partially due to her recent string of B&E. But, anything that put food on the table.

"No, I believe the only signs of forced entry you would find for now are the shards of glass you left in your attempt of running from my hired guns. Thanks for sparing me from having to pay them, by the way."
She didn't stop her work for a second, only trying to profile the - from the voice - Male behind her on actions, talk, and tone. Indifferent, for now. But from what he said, he sounded like someone too idealistic to survive very long.
"And once I'm done, there's no such signs left behind, either. Other than some glass a moron in a mask carried in." How she could tell the mask? Noone talked in the voice she heard unless their mouth was somehow masked or obstructed.

A surprisingly short time later, maybe close to 10 minutes, the same gust came up again, heavier this time. With it came the metallic smell of blood, unmistakeably strong and fresh. Sienna was holding a torn blouse against a Males torso, the cloth already soaked. A now only bra-clad Wolfina quickly looked around the room, searching for the doctor. Her blouse was used as a makeshift bandage here. "We need help!" Her voice was loud, yet devoid of panic. She had seen emergencies happen, and panic never helped the respective individual. "Deep cut, clean blade. Missed any direct vitals from what I can tell, but I'm no expert." She almost felt bad for causing yet another scene so quickly after the first, but this was more important than her reputation.
The man in question was the Atlesian diplomat Sienna had been said to meet, and the attacker had been her standin, which her trusted guard was currently taking care of. He was still in a fancy suit that was stained red, and breathing, albeit shallow.
"Easy, easy! Just lay down, you hit your head." (Linnea, @the-smuggling-business)
@snrs-neon (for some reason it won’t let me tag the sideblog, apologies.)
“I know. I was there when it happened. I simply can not be late for this appointment though. I would prefer to prevent a war, not to bring it straight over everyone.” Sienna’s head was still spinning and it took her a second to focus through her slightly blurred vision, but her steps seemed okay, at least appropriate for the amount of blunt trauma she had suffered. “You have my gratitude for your kindness, however.” Her aura would take care of this. Hopefully, sooner rather than later.

"The things you do for love..." Wolfina gave a playful sigh, before stepping inside and laying a hand onto Siennas shoulder. "High Leader, you know the procedure and safety lessons already. On your sign, and you can repay me later."
Seeing as Sienna would still need a few seconds to brace herself for what travel she was about to experience, Wolfina used the time to thank the other woman again, and checked around the room to see any possible difficulties. Sienna must've told her, luckily. She gave the doctor a light smirk. "She doesn't allow many people to talk to her like this." At that sentence, she felt a light bob against her hand from Siennas shoulder. Only seconds later, a gust of wind started blowing through the office, before the two simply seemed to vanish.

She would be greeted by a woman dressed in clothes that seemed a size too small, blouse and jeans alike, that sported a bushy tail at the back. Some kind of squirrel Faunus - flying Squirrel, to be precise - it would seem. She offered a polite smile, and only introduced herself and took the handshake after saying sorry about the commotion.
"Wolfina. Thank you so much for keeping her from rash decisions." The comment earned her an icy glare - or as cold a glare as yellow eyes could give - from Sienna, who kept silent however. The girl spoke quickly, but was still understandable. "And apologies as well for my unfitting attire. I was at home in the Mistrali mountains when she called me in."

"Warning her may be proving to be quite a difficult task. She isn't as trusting as I am." And if the woman had understood Valo correctly thus far, she knew what that meant. The pace Valo set was quick, but managable for a normal walk. It was cripplingly slow to her usual perception of moving around, when time was essential to almost anything she did. She wasn't quite sure wether to like this change of pace, or to despise it. Nonetheless, she'd keep it up like this for now.
"Knowingly or not, the mere fact you might know about High Leader Khans whereabouts makes you a potential threat, every second you draw breath." Now, it wasn't far from Valo to bury that threat - or it wouldn't've been before reuniting with Sienna - but this asked for finesse, not brutality. Her new self, not her old self. "You can guess why, I presume."
pledgingallegiance:
“I won’t, unless I’ve confirmed wether or not you are the threat you could be. Let me be candor for a second. That apartment you were waltzing towards? Mine. The retinal scanner installed in the door? Harmless. But try as you may, it will always leave you right to my place. I took some precautions, to prevent uninvited guests from finding the hidden safehouse.” Now, if the girls semblance really allowed her to read between the lines, she should know by now what she was referencing, and how the system worked. And also, who exactly was currently in said safehouse. Why else would her semblance have led her there.
“So if you may, humor me for the walk. I solemnly promise not to take you anywhere secluded or shady, if that eases your mind. But, for the worst case scenario…” Valo made sure her one hand was clearly visible and up, signalling no ill intent. She dug through the small bag she was used to carrying around, before pulling out sunglasses and holding them out for the girl. “If you’re with me, these are basic attire. Else, I can’t guarantee your safety. Put them on when I tell you, or I won’t guarantee for the consequences.” Her semblance was powerful, but uncontrolled still. And she didn’t want someone who stayed polite to get hurt. “I’ll make sure it is well worth your time in the long run. You were after Sienna, I know where she is. And to get in, you need me, her, or one of 4 other people with clearance. Once I’ve confirmed my assumptions, I will take you there should you still so desire.”
“I-I mean…” She took the glasses, tucking them in her shirt pocket. Sure enough, her semblance worked as it should… and she understood that this woman was, at the very least, not lying to her. No ill intent, either… and indeed, Dalma had no intention to be a threat. She wasn’t even sure if she could be a threat…
Still… the opportunity to meet Sienna Khan? Honestly, she did forget the very real possibility of that… “I-I mean, I’d be honored but, um… I-I was just wanting to make sure she was warned, you know? I don’t mean any harm, I swear!”
Even still, though, at the woman’s behest, she cautiously stepped forward to indicate she would at least follow.
“Though… I guess… an interview with THE Sienna Khan could be cool…”

“You know more about me than I do myself, then. Though even knowing what’s coming wouldn’t save you.” It was just the nature of her powers. Most of the people on her bad side found it difficult to outrun light.
But with her behaviour, Valo had a difficult time to believe for even a second that this woman lived to be as old as she is now. Putting everything on the table, just like this? Either she has too much trust in her semblance, or was uncomfortably naive. Either way, she could prove to be quite the problem. And knowing what she did already, her usual methods of keeping people silent would be rendered effectless. “Quite the conclusion. Reminds me of an old friend of mine, though she insists on wasting her talent away ruining the reputation of blackmarket merchants.” The woman had just revealed all of her sources to someone who might just as well be out to get everyone who led her closer. Valo made a mental list of any name mentioned in the notes she was shown, before taking down her arm, finally. Her voice left little doubt in it being a mix of a request and an order, Valo turning around, before inviting the other woman along with a short wave over to her. “Walk with me for a while. We can’t have people staring.”
“Wasting her talent? That’s sounds like a great way to shut down the black market!” Without hardly even thinking, she began to walk along behind Valo, seeming blinded by excitement of someone actually taking her words to heart. Although…
“Though, I mean… I guess it could also be dangerous. I imagine doing that requires getting lots of information on them too, and then putting it out there. They don’t really like people who tend to know… too much…”
Dalma froze in place, suddenly finding herself looking over this woman again… Her eyes shimmered, and she clutched her notebook tight to her chest.
“… A-Actually… I should probably get going…” She said, all of a sudden getting a very unsettling feeling. She didn’t pay attention to it before, but now that she got a hint… she realizes she probably shouldn’t be following this woman.
… Though that same feeling also caused her to stop the moment she began backpedaling. Danger forward, danger backwards…
“… Oh. Wait… actually… y-you’re probably not gonna let me go, are you…?”

“If I was, where would I find proof to back those claims of yours? It’s true that Taurus has ben acting irrationally lately, but that’s hardly a surprise in our line of work. Considering his story, even less so with him. Why should now be different from all the other times?” Playing the game was fun for now. There was always something to gain from making people explain themselves. Even if the only thing she would get was the other one not being worth her time, at least she would learn that.
Her posture was still straight, maybe a bit uncomfortably so, but that’s what trying to blend in in Atlas did to someone. Gotta stay like the crowd, even if that means acting out in other places. Hard to let go of something like that. “Just for clarification, don’t give me a reason to hurt you, and I won’t. We may be painted as savages by some, but that’s far from the truth.”
“Oh! You don’t need to worry about that… I kinda… well, already knew you weren’t about to hurt me, haha~ Semblance, right? Hah…” She laughed nervously, before clearing her throat and holding out her notebook. It was… almost just gibberish and scribbles, with some various names and line charts mixed in. Encircled numerous times, however, was the apparent solution; “is Adam Taurus planning a coup?!?!”
“Look, it’s all here, see?” She began flipping through the pages, just revealing more and more of the absolute mess that had become her notebook. “Police reports, eyewitness accounts, interviews with former white fang members, and even interrogation documents! … just don’t tell my dad I have those…”
“Anyway! My semblance, right?! It lets me read between the lines~” She declared, seeming quite proud of her description. “I can see things that other people would miss… Even if it’s not even there! And using all this data, I can be sure that Adam Taurus is planning a huge power move, one that would need to see Sienna out of the picture!”
“… And, uh… I admit I still don’t know *everything* about the White Fang… but my Semblance also lets me see how that’s… probably really bad for everyone.”

"Depends on who you're looking for, little Mole. Dug up quite a few things, haven't you?" The figure that appeared before the woman was hooded, with only her long hair underneath rivaling the colour in darkness. Small movements underneath hinted at a Faunus nature, and her athletic body showed all the makings of someone not to mess with.
Two gloved fingers extended, her hand was mere inches away from the other girls forehead. Her voice swung in an authoritative, yet colder tone than Siennas, and her gray eyes seemed focussed, almost unemotional. "Not a step further towards there, unless you're telling me what you're doing here."
Curiosity and the big cat
@pledgingallegiance
Dalma was in a hurry; her insightful semblance and researching of the white fang had led her to a horrifying conclusion. An upset of power was to be inevitable… one that was bound to put the criminally inclined Adam Taurus at the top of the ranks; something that, even without any involvement directly in the white fang, Dalma just knew would not end well.
Weeks Dalma spent researching, trying to find the location of the high leader herself. The place she inevitably stumbled upon… well, it was the best lead she had. A place in Mistral… a long trip, but to send warning to this person… Hopefully it will be worth it when she can add to her article how she prevented this upset of power!
… if said high leader would even trust in Dalma’s semblance.
She found herself approaching… An apartment building? No, this couldnt be right… what would a high ranking member of an organization like the white fang be doing here? Dalma looked at her scrambled notes, scratching her head in confusion.
“My semblance brought me here…? This cant be right…”
