✧･ﾟ                maverick  carefully  takes  the  pen  from  her  fingers,  eyebrows  already  raised  in  surprise. it’s  not  like  he  was  a  pen  connoisseur,  more  he  very  much  enjoyed  steadiness  and  seeing  the  way  she  wrote  had  encapsulated  him  momentarily. a  small  smile  grows  on  his  lips  as  he  catches  sight  of  the  character  on  the  nib. it  must  have  taken  someone  a  while  to  engrave  it. or  in  the  more  likely  case,  it  was  machine  engraved  which  somehow  didn’t  take  away  from  the  delicacy. “it’s  really  cool.”  he  replies,  eyes  glancing  up  at  hers. “do  you  write  often?”  he  asks,  casually. “i  mean,  i  say  that  because… you  wouldn’t  have  a  pen  like  this  if  you  weren’t  a  writer.”

                    ren  can’t  help  the  evident  smile  that  only  seems  to  grow  the  more  she  reacts  to  his  comment  .  for  one  ,  he  didn’t  believe  it  was  a  love  letter  but  her  defensive  comeback  made  it  seem  like  it  was  something  along  those  lines  .  “  hey  ,  it’s  your  business  if  you’re  writing  love  letters  out  here  in  the  open  .  next  time  it  could  be  the  receiver  approaching  you  though  ,  ”  he  teases  ,  moving  to  sit  besides  her  for  a  second  as  he  listens  to  her  explain  for  real  this  time  .  “  why  don’t  you  send  them  ?  don’t  you  want  the  other  person  to  know  how  you  feel  ?  ”  soren  can’t  imagine  writing  a  love  letter  —  having  the  ability  to  form  sentences  that  were  supposed  to  convey  his  feelings  ,  only  to  not  send  the  letter  but  have  it  at  home  acting  as  a  reminder  of  his  feelings  all  the  time  .  he  keeps  that  part  to  himself  however  ,  this  wasn’t  about  him  .  “  i  do  ,  had  to  read  all  the  time  growing  up  ,  among  other  things  .  ”

"the  cat  has  it  and  won’t  give  it  back  to  me?”  he  wants  to  groan  in  frustration. it  serves  him  right  wearing  something  of  sentimental  value  to  a  stranger’s  house  but  he  (a)  didn’t  exactly  go  out  with  the  intention  to  fuck  nana  and  (b)  didn’t  expect  a  jacket  would  ever  be  stolen  by  a  cat. “the  little  shit  better  give  it  back  to  me  and  it  better  not  be  damaged;  it  belongs  to  my  dad.”  he  rolls  his  eyes  as  he  references  his  head  towards  the  door. “come  on,  at  least    help  me. it’s  your  fuckin’  cat.”
