Sun radiation in matte painting
A romantic oil painting, The Norsk Fjeddal, by Johan Christian Dahl is selected to demonstrate how Crepuscular ray interacts between sunbeams and clouds. The video demonstrates a phenomenon that the sun radiation shines through clouds creating diffraction effect which makes the crepuscular ray, highlight alternating with shadow in traditional fan shape.

Phase2 Mechanism
The code : The method for organisation
Input: Any three dimensional form (from the reference cards)
Device/Mechanism: Form follows function in inverse way
Output: The organised area
To describe about this phase, the priority I would like to introduce is the code which is the method of the space organization, concern the public and adapt instead of change.
As mentioned above, to lead to the foam workship device, it’s clear that the code is the main mechanism. To represent Rem’s method of form follows function tends the input to be the programs. Instead of that, what matter here is presenting the organization in inverse way which is better represent Rem’s method of organisation. It turns out that the input can be in any three-dimensional object.
In details, the input can be any object which people can pick up from the reference card, it backs contain dimension details of each object. The mechanism defines the code and is limited by the rules. To transform the object into 2D framework, before the device produces it as 3D organized form. Lastly, the output can be in multiple options in various scales according to how people organize the circulation.

Phase2 Mechanism (Prototype)
The code : The strategy
Input: Any three dimensional form
Device: The method for organisation
Output: The organised area and circulation form
The code is the strategy of how Rem organises the space which is the key of THE FOAM WORKSHIP device. This device demonstrates the code of form follows function in inverse way through its mechanism.
As mentioned above, the form follows function tends the device to have program as an input. Instead to do it in inverse way makes the easier understood procedure of organization.

Phase1 The Code
Rem Koolhaas (1944-Present)
When talk about the famous temporary style architect who has a great influence on a lot of architectures, Rem Koolhaas, the Dutch architect, must be the one who will pop up in mans head.
Caused there are a lot of Rem’s buildings since 1944 till now, to intensely understand him and to classify his works is the important thing to do to perceive his code. As shown in the typology matrix, most of his works are different in category, but the significant part that is consistency in all of his architectures is the method of how every building were made which defines the code of Rem Koolhaas.
