Gray has begun to notice Juvia has been off lately.

"What's wrong?"

Something was off about Juvia. Gray has begun to notice that Juvia was a lot more odd than usual.

She was a lot more distant as of late, her mind always seeming like it was somewhere else. Juvia is still affectionate - but not to her usual degree.

Maybe something was wrong. Did Gray do something without realizing it? Is he not being ass attentive as a boyfriend should? How should he even approach this subject in the first place? Gray is a guy after all - maybe he should ask one of his female guild mates.

"Hey, Lucy," Gray calls, approaching the stool Lucy is sitting at. Lucy smiles as she waves at Gray.

"Hey, Gray. What's up?" Lucy sets her milkshake off to the side, turning her full attention to Gray. Her chocolate colored eyes give Gray a quick once over - her attention narrowing on Gray's expression. His eyebrows are furrowed together, the start of dark circles slowly make their way underneath his eyes.

"You look awful, is everything okay?" Lucy presses, leaning only slightly closer. Gray holds his hands in front of him, gently shaking his hands.

"Yes? No, it's Juvia," Gray's tone drops as he takes the stool next to Lucy. He rests his elbows on the counter, his fingers making their way to his hair as he grits his teeth in frustration. He's not mad at Juvia - not even the slightest. The poor man is just worried.

"Is everything okay?" Lucy crosses her arms as she rests her head on them - full attention to Gray.

"I don't know. She's been a little off lately," Gray mutters, sighing as he looks at Lucy, "she's been distant as of late and not entirely with it. I've caught her daydreaming - I think - a lot more often than normal. She doesn't seem to be herself and I don't know what to do."

Lucy sits back up, her brows creasing together as she begins to think. She then turns back to Gray, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"Have you approached her about this?" Lucy asks.

Gray sighs, rubbing his face in his hands.

"No."

"Look, I know that talking about feelings isn't your thing - but you are going to have to do so with Juvia. Ask her about it and let her know that you're there for her no matter what it is. Maybe she's worried about something and taking your feelings into consideration - hence her not telling you," Lucy explains. Gray looks at Lucy and smiles slightly.

"Alright, but what would be so bad that she would feel like she couldn't tell me?"

"Maybe she's pregnant?" Lucy teases, hiding a smirk behind her hand. Gray's mouth drops as his eyes widen. Lucy slaps his arm lightly, chuckling a little.

"I'm joking - maybe. I mean, who knows. Juvia is Juvia - it could be anything when you think about it."

Gray stands up, clapping Lucy on her back - almost in the same manner that Natsu does to her.

"Thank you, Lucy. I'm gonna go talk to her."

"No problem, just let me know if it's a bouncing baby boy," Lucy snickers. Gray scoffs.

"Shut up."

Gray gently knocks on their bedroom door.

"Juvia, I'm coming in."

Gray slowly opens the door, seeing Juvia sitting on the bed. She looks like she's patching up her coat.

"Hey, can we talk?" Gray asks, trying to keep his voice calm. He's worried beyond belief- especially thanks to Lucy putting the idea of Juvia being pregnant in his head.

Juvia looks up, appearing a little startled but nods.

"Of course, Gray-sama. Are you okay?" Juvia questions, her voice trembling with worry.

"I should be asking you that."

Juvia appears puzzled, her head tilting to the side a little, "what do you mean? I'm fine."

Gray shakes his head as he takes a seat next to Juvia on the bed.

"I'm just worried about you. You seem to have a lot on your mind and I was just wondering what could be going on that has you like this," Gray explains.

Juvia went from confused to guilty. Her body looks like it was trying to get smaller. She begins to worry that he may know what she's been thinking as of late.

"It's nothing really. I'll be okay," Juvia says, her voice soft - almost more of a mumble. Gray takes her hand in his, holding it to his chest.

"Juvia, you know you can tell me anything, right?"

Juvia looks close to tears, a few spill down her cheeks. This rings alarm bells in Gray's head. He tightens his grip on her hands slightly.

"But what if you don't want to be with me anymore? I love you Gray-sama. I don't think I would be able to handle it if I lost you because of my selfishness," Juvia cries. Gray's eyes widen, his hands trembling.

"Juvia?" Gray asks, "are you pregnant?"

Juvia quickly looks at Gray, her face contorted back to confusion as she wipes tears from her eyes.

"No, I'm not. Why would you think that?"

Gray sighs in relief, chuckling a little. "It's nothing. I talked about this with Lucy and she made a joke about it."

As Gray was explaining himself, he notice Juvia pale at the mention of Lucy's name.

"Juvia, did Lucy do something to upset you?"

Gray knows that Lucy wouldn't dare do anything that would harm Juvia. As far as he knows - the only thing she would have against Lucy would be her being a 'love rival.'

"N-no, Lucy hasn't done anything. It's just -" Juvia struggles to get the words out.

Gray is trying to be patient - truly he is.

"Juvia, please, tell me what does Lucy have to do with -" before Gray could even finish, Juvia quickly rips her hand from Gray's grip and confesses.

"I think I'm falling in love with Lucy."

...

Oh.

Oh.

OH!

Gray falls forward on the bed, all stress leaving his body. Juvia begins to sob uncontrollably, almost ready to flood the bedroom with her tears.

"I'm so sorry Gray-sama. I know it's probably a selfish desire of mine and I've been trying to let it go, but - but!"

Gray turns to lay on his back as he smiles at Juvia. Juvia slowly stops crying, wondering why Gray was smiling at her confessing to love another woman.

"Gray-sama?"

"Juvia, I love you, truly. I know I'm still new to this sort of thing, but even I know what it means to be poly-amorous."

Juvia wipes her eyes with her hands, trying to clear her tears.

"What?"

"You can love more than one person. I'm not going to call you anything negative over it either. I know that relationships are new to you too - and if anything, I should apologize." Gray admits, her smile falling a little.

"What for?" Juvia asks, looking at Gray.

"For you not feeling like you could come to me in confidence with your feelings. If this is something you wish to explore, I'll support you. However, just talk to me and tell me if something has you this worked up and worried. I'd rather talk these things through than you worry yourself to death," Gray explains as he sits up. He makes his way to Juvia, pulling her into a hug.

"Gray-sama!" Juvia cries once more - but this time - from relief.

What if Juvia started to feel something more for a certain blonde and a firey dragon slayer?

Juvia was confused. She never imagined that she would finally have her love reciprocated by Gray-sama. Well, they did live together, and she never once hid how she felt. However, by the time Juvia started to give Gray-sama space and tone down her affections, he confessed that he was scared she was beginning to fall out of love with him. Juvia denied it - OF COURSE - and the two became a couple.

But that's not what was confusing her.

Juvia has begun to notice how hot? a certain blonde celestial mage is. Juvia never denied that Lucy was attractive - hence the whole 'love rival' scenarios that played in her head and the crippling fear that her beloved Gray-sama would be stolen away.

Now, those fears slowly started to shift. Juvia would sometimes find herself staring at the celestial maiden. She would fix her gaze to take in the curves of her body, the swell of her chest and the contours of her legs. Sometimes, she would find herself imagining if Lucy's lips were as soft as they appear. How would they feel on her lips? On her neck? On her-?

Juvia would soon blush deeply as she would realize what she's doing and shake her head as she would smack her face. Juvia would get odd looks sometimes - but this behavior was normal for her given how she acted with Gray-sama.

Even those fearful scenarios have changed a little - something like a fantasy. She would sometimes wonder how it would feel being in Gray-sama's embrace as Lucy would worship her body. The two toying and teasing Juvia beyond limits that she never knew of.

It wasn't all physical attraction either. Sometimes, when Juvia would talk with Lucy, she would become lost in her voice and melt in her kindness. Juvia admires how strong her will is, her compassion for those Lucy cares for, her drive to do better and become stronger. Juvia would sometimes wonder how it would feel if Lucy would hold her and pour her heart to her as she does with Natsu. What would it feel like on the receiving end of that?

And sometimes, when Juvia would snap back to reality, she would feel shame. She would feel greedy for craving more - craving for a woman while said woman belonged to the fire dragon slayer.

She would feel guilt for the longing she felt for Lucy while belonging to Gray-sama. Juvia knows that she still loves Gray-sama, that never changed. What she doesn't understand is how she can love another at the same time. Does that make her selfish?

Lost in thought, Juvia didn't realize Gray-sama approaching her. Gray sits down on the bench next to Juvia, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. Juvia flinched slightly as she looks to her beloved, her complexion paler than normal.

"Are you okay? You seem lost in thought," Gray-sama asks, his tone worried. Gray-sama's eyebrows are furrowed together, his lips contoured into a small frown.

Juvia nods, her face solemn. She gives Gray-sama a small peck on the cheek as she gets up.

"I'll be fine my love. I'm going to head home," Juvia says quietly, her gaze flickering to Lucy before closing her eyes. "I'm not feeling too well, I think I may just need to lay down."

As Juvia leaves the guild hall, Gray gets up to follow her out - but not before looking at the same spot Juvia was staring at for the past hour - only to find a celestial blonde sitting at the bar.

"Hm," was all Gray had to say before he walks out, making sure Juvia made it home okay.

This is my first time making something like this on Tumblr! I am a big Nalu and Gruvia fan, but sometimes I like to dabble in poly ships! I've been having this idea in my head about a ship between Gruvia and Nalu for a long time- but it's hard to find anything good about them.
