George and Edward, along with their platoon, had been sent to northern France. They were now only a few miles from the Western Front and everyone was now eagerly awaiting their first firefight. Since they were recruits they were not sent directly into the war. Instead they were given smaller assignments while waiting to be transferred. The days passed slowly and nervousness hung in the air.
George tried not to think too much about Minnie, but every time he was alone he couldn’t help but pick up her photograph.
Edward was distant and became even more silent as the days passed. All he could think about was getting back home. He wanted to return to Britechester to finish his education. Besides, he felt that he had not yet figured out who he was. This war was nothing he had ever wanted to be a part of and he felt an immense hopelessness.

Me and my excellent photoshop skills are back with another small override to improve the quality of historic gameplay!
It felt weird when my decades sims in the 1890′s started bathing her toddler and the sponge was a pink teddy and the duck was too bright.
So… now the sponge is a spongey color, the teddy face… not completely gone but not as visible, and the duck is wooden. Ahh… much better!
You can get them both or separately. Maybe you just want a wooden ducky or a brown sponge. The merged one is simply called Bathtime_Overrides. Not need to get the ones called ducky and sponge if you get that one.
You can find them HERE <—- SFS (no adfly)
Please note that this is an override of the original and will replace them. If you want the pink sponge and yellow ducky back, just remove the package(es) from your mods folder.
Please enjoy and let me know if you run into any trouble.
Also, it would be great if you would consider reblogging if you like this so that other historical gameplayers see it!
Our first lookbook of the legacy is for a teenage Thomas Thornton, the eldest son of John and Elisabeth. It was a bit tough for me to find historically accurate cc for male sims, so hope this can help some of you if you’re having the same trouble!
Casual: Top | Pants
Formal: Suit
Athletic: Top | Pants
Sleep: Top (TSR) | Pants
Party: Suit
Swim: Outfit
Summer: Jacket
Winter: Jacket (TSR)
I can’t for the life of me find the shoes he’s wearing for casual, formal and athletic, so if anyone knows where they are from please let me know!
A big thank you to all the historical cc creators that make the decades challenge so much more fun!
My last lookbook kinda blew up so I was eager to get started on the rest. This one was definitely much harder but I tried to get it as accurate as possible. The top image is for a more upper class family and the bottom working class.
This set was originally designed for a friend who's a fan of Tomb Raider... I decided to craft an archeologist vibe around it with some practical items like desk, study, cute notebook with leather cover and treasures maps.
I have been so busy with our boys, I have hardly had time to pay attention to my own husband. The other day, Louis returned home from hunting early, as he’d had a coughing fit. It was awful, listening to him wheeze and struggle to breathe.
Of course, he assured me he was just fine and it was nothing to worry about. Typical of a man.
I have made it a point to take extra care of him. We’ve both been reading more of the Holy Book lately as well. We must put our trust in the lord that Louis will be just fine.
If I were to ever lose him, I don’t think I could go on. He has become rather special to me.
I had so much fun with the first lookbook that I had to make a second one, but this time with a challenge.
A child. A MALE CHILD. *faints*
we know cc for males in general are lacking, but luckily there are some fanfreakintastic creators out there!
Everyone meet Frederick Pleasant. hi frederick.
Frederick II Pleasant, son of the town's innkeeper, rarely finds time to have fun. His father works him to the bone bussing tables, and folding linens, but Freddy Jr. still makes sure to find time to enjoy himself. Like catching glances at the bartender's daughter who works at the Inns Tavern.
it's his first crush!! so cute! Anyways, links below!

Lula, whose father is an aspiring lawyer, enjoys reading when she is not caring for her younger sisters or the family home.
Lula finds peace in the deep forests outside of the town. Her goal in life is to lead a fulfilling career. A deep-seated mentality of a woman caring for the home and nothing more stands in her way. Can she, like many of the women of the 1890s, show that women are more than just housemaids?
Three variations of the basegame-longsleeve outfit.
The two bow-dresses don’t animate quite perfectly in gameplay - the bow clips into the skirt (picture under the cut). They look best on a walking toddler or in storytelling.
The third edit is my take on the historic unisex dresses that were used for male and female toddlers alike.
Credits
The big skirt-mesh is from ts4, the slimmer one from the basegame-dress.
I used an edit of the original texture without the flower, which I think I got from MTS long ago, but couldn’t find it any more.
