TASIA!!!

Now, y’all know I’ve been a fan of Fantasia since American Idol. But here lately, and lemme tell ya—this woman is slayin’ every single look she puts on, AND I'M HERE FOR IT! And every time I think she is done with the shenanigans, she sha-nans AGAIN! Just one look after the damn nother.

I’ve always admired her as a singer and mother, but her style lately? Straight fye. Every time she steps out, she’s serving up something so timeless and sexy that I can’t help but feel inspired.

Let me start by sayin’ how much I respect Fantasia, not just for her talent, but as a Black woman and a mother. She’s been through so many things, and she’s never backed down. She’s lived her truth, and that right there makes her a true queen in my book. She keeps pushin’ through, and we can all learn from that resilience. She’s out here showin’ us all that you can be strong, beautiful, and unapologetically yourself simultaneously. And baby, she’s doing that in a big way with her fashion.

Now, I’m not sure if she’s hired a stylist or not, but whoever’s behind her looks deserves a major shout-out. From the curves to the confidence, from head to toe, everything she wears is like she knows exactly how to own it. Whether it’s a sleek dress that hugs her body just right or a more laid-back yet still fabulous outfit, it’s clear that she’s got her style on lock. Her outfits feel timeless, yet modern, sexy, but still classy. It’s like she’s hittin’ all the right notes in fashion, just like she does in music.

Fantasia’s been out here giving us more than just clothes—she’s giving us statements. Each look says, “I’m here, and I’m not goin’ anywhere,” and that’s something I can definitely get behind. It’s like every piece of fabric is part of her story, part of her journey to where she is now: a strong Black woman, a loving mother, and a true style icon in her own right.

I can’t help but admire how she balances it all. The sexiness, the elegance, the confidence—it’s all in there, wrapped up in some of the most beautiful ensembles I’ve seen in a while. Her team really did their thing, and I’m here for it. Whatever they’re doin’ to make sure she stays lookin' like a million bucks, they deserve a round of applause.

Her style these last couple of years, BAY-BAE....have been off the scales in fly. What the young folks say?? "She ate down"?? Yeah...that's what she's been doing lately. With no apologies. And I love it.

So here’s to Fantasia—still proving that no matter where life takes you, you can rise, shine, and serve looks while you do it. You’ve inspired me once again, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that way. Keep slayin'!

Mix-n-Match....maybe!?

This top and bottom is NOT a set! I actually forced them to work. I got the top back in February 2020 from Shein - it was actually one of my first orders!! It is a crop, heavy wool sweater (added a little more “crop” to it for this look🤫😉). I scrolled across the skirt about three weeks ago on Shein, but it is NO WHERE NEAR as heavy or even made of the same fabric....BUT the houndstooth print is exactly the same! So I figured why not try to pull them together🤷🏾‍♀️ This is the results...

Although the fabrics are not the same, it wasn’t obvious in person. I will definitely wear this fall - maybe with some booties or suede wedges??🤔🤔 Nonetheless, for this look, I wanted to compliment the black and white with blue. I ordered my shoes from eBay, my rings are just some old pieces I have, my armjunk is an old stretch belt that I found a Savers years ago, and my earrings are from It’s Fashion Metro. There you have it! I thought I looked cute🤷🏾‍♀️

Shein Hits Again!!

I was skeptical when I ordered this dress because middle-splits on dresses can prove risque for the vertically inclined. I must admit this dress is pushing it for me, but it is still a really cute dress😍 (I’ll never wear it anywhere...I’d be too self-conscience to move😆😩)

At any rate, I’m really starting to become addicted to Shein. Cute pieces you don’t find in regular stores and are very affordable prices. AND it’s not cheap stuff - nice quality for the most part! PLUS, Shein offers free returns if you’re not satisfied with anything except swimsuits and accessories (COVID-19 delaying returns, btw). I would definitely say patronaging is worth trying at least once!

SheinCurve has been good to me!

I’ve become a SheinCurve customer recently and let’s say....I’m hooked! This three-piece gold assemble is actually a pajamas set that I thought was too fly to not wear outside. So this is how I styled it.

Coveralls x Maddens

So I saw this coverall/jumpsuit at It’s Fashion Metro and fell in like-like with it. “Like-like” because I expected....I knew I would be disappointed once I actually tried it on. Unless a coverall is specifically for tall women or made for a man and/or stretches, I am ALWAYS disappointed because the torso is never long enough. I was hoping that this one would be different, but.....nope! I tried to make it work, but I could see myself struggling to pry this thing off of me in an emergency visit to the bathroom. De. Zass. Ter.

Still had to see if I could pull off a lil look. I wanted to keep it relaxed, so I went for sneaks instead of heels - cue Steve Madden. Added a pop of NYX Matte Cream, a watch, earrings, and some specs....boom! Too bad I was afraid to bend over...or stretch....or tie my shoes....or reach. Everything that required extending made it ride up - I didn’t take pictures of the back because the pockets are literally resting at the top/beginning of my butt when they’re suppose to be at the peak of it! Oh well🤷🏾‍♀️ Returned it.
