so trump apparently signed an order directive states to "criminalize and institutionalize" homeless people, as well as people suffering from addiction and "mental health disabilities"

and apparently, "mental health disabilities" includes sexual orientations other than straight and gender identities other than cis, according to the terms of the order

since i live in a blue state, i'm hoping as someone whose doctor knows that i'm bi and have anxiety (haven't said that i'm trans, thank god) that my state will say "hell no" and not comply

but i'm also terrified of what might happen in either scenario. if my state complies, i'm cooked, probably being shipped off to a labor camp or something. if my state refuses to comply, i'm also cooked, because trump will probably just send the army to force my state to comply (or just send them to drag people off to labor camps anyway)

i remember learning about the holocaust in school, and now i'm watching it unfold all around me. and if you think i'm overreacting, wake the fuck up. it started with systemic othering of basically everyone other than trump and his bootlickers. then we had a concentration camp on foreign soil (yes, the el salvador megaprison is a concentration camp) followed by one on american soil. we don't have death camps yet, but i'm sure it's coming

so yeah, that's what i'm currently experiencing existential terror about lol
