Game of Greed (M.M. 2024)
A collage work made using paper weaving technique of a nature collage and acrylic abstract painting.
The nature collage depicts beautiful ecosystems of our environment. Fields of flowers, auroras and stars shining in the night sky, sun soaked islands and chilly forests.
The abstract artwork uses main monotone colours to represent the unfeeling pain our leaders are inflicting on our earth, with accent colour of red to convey the anger and rage the general population feels for the mistreatment against nature.
The weaving technique signifies how intertwined the harm is with the land at this point in time. As well as mimicking a chess board as our leaders play with the livelihood of every living thing in this world just to deepen their pockets. Their greed will be our demise.

Sunset by the Water (M.M, 2024)
An abstract multi-medium collage created using magazine cut outs, acrylic paint and variety of brushes.
The main colours of orange and blue represent the main components of life, the sun and water, and the beauty of the sun setting over a body of water.
The water-like brush strokes signify the way water flows through nature. Water is everywhere. To the sky to the ground. The sun is what brings everything to life.
The focal point of the question mark invites the audience to make their own observations and draw their own conclusions to this work, whether that is what I intended or not.

AMISS THE CHAOS (M.M, 2024)
This is a collage artwork I made during an art therapy open studio session. Using magazine cutouts, abstract artwork made by me and printed tissue paper, torn and put together with glue and layered on top with acrylic paint.
The facial figure (Unwritten #9. Vernon Ah Kee, 2008.) in the middle represents the subject, an indistinguishable monochromatic face, void of emotion.
The surrounding colourful collage mimics the vibrancy of life, which at times can feel suffocating.
The intended contrast of these two elements juxtapose our inner and outer environments.
The top most layers of acrylic draws the two elements together into one. As though the world influences us, we in turn influence the world.
