The sheer number of times Eddie is mentioned when Buck comes out to Maddie has been pointed out time and time again. Some take it as a sign that Buck is subconsciously in love with Eddie, some see it as foreshadowing for these two to be romantically involved in the future, while others simply think it's an Easter egg left in by writers as a nod to shippers.

The way I see it, there is a reason why Eddie keeps being brought up in this scene, but it's not what you think.

If you've rewatched this scene as much as I have, you'd remember that Buck actually isn't coming out to Maddie on purpose in this scene. He originally goes there to talk and ask for her advice, because he feels bad about the hot chicks incident when Eddie walked in on him and Tommy at the restaurant.

In fact, he fully intends to keep the identity of his date hidden. He can't even risk Chimney getting wind of it, in case he or Eddie puts two and two together and figures the whole thing out.

Maddie is always there to talk things out with her brother, but she would never turn down a chance to gossip.

He completely dodges Maddie's question and quickly changes the subject. He needs to tell Maddie the full story of his disastrous date, but he can only refer to Tommy as his date, or "this person". The more he does this, the higher the risk of slipping up, Maddie would likely ask more questions about this mysterious person as well, so Buck frames the whole narrative around the only person he can safely refer to: Eddie (and Marisol, but she isn't important in this story).

Maddie picks up on Buck's secrecy, now she really wants to know who this person is and why Buck refuses to reveal their identity. Buck again immediately shuts it down, and brings the topic back to Eddie.

While I'm sure Buck feels bad for lying to his best friend, especially when there's no reason to expect Eddie reacting with anything less than acceptance, when Buck starts actually talking about his behavior and what upsets him the most, it isn't really about Eddie. He's ashamed of himself for lying right in front of Tommy. In fact, he's so upset over Tommy cutting the date short and leaving him on the curb that he accidentally uses a gendered pronoun.

Maddie "I am 9-1-1" Han makes a career out of being a good and thorough listener, so of course she notices the pronoun. From this point on, the subject of the conversation shifts from Eddie to Buck's newly discovered sexuality, and later, Tommy.

Buck knows he goes to Maddie because he feels bad, but he still hasn't fully processed the fact that he's into men too and what it means to him. He's still calling himself an ally, a supporter of queer people, but he's confused as to why it doesn't seem to apply when it comes to himself. Maddie correctly points out that he's no longer just an ally, and the recency of his discovery might have been the cause of his strange and panicked behavior during the date.

This is the prime example of acting turning the same line into different meanings. The first "wow" seems to me like Maddie is finally connecting the dots. She practically raised her brother, it's not unlikely that she has previously witnessed Buck having boy problems. I feel like it's a "wow, everything makes so much sense now" wow. It looks like Buck takes a little offence at it and asks Maddie to clarify what she means by "wow". Maddie tells him it's more like a "wow, this is a nice surprise" wow.

Oh, boy is completely clueless. Maddie is just trying her best to keep up with Buck's increasingly oblivious statements.

Buck suddenly brings up Tommy, probably because he hasn't been able to stop thinking about him since the kiss. Apparently, he's so attracted to Tommy both physically and as a person, it makes him realize his interest in men, something no other has achieved thus far. Maddie recognizes the name her brother has been harping on for the past few weeks.

Poor Maddie must be so confused. First her brother and husband-to-be keep talking about how cool this pilot who saved everyone is, then he becomes Eddie's friend and Buck gets all jealous about it. Most recently, Maddie is horrified by Buck's action on the basketball court, because he only has a history of hurting himself to get someone's attention, not the target of his attention seeking. And now Buck has gone on a date with Tommy? So Maddie decides, one step at a time, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Buck initially tells Maddie about lying to his best friend and how he feels like a fraud, so she tackles (no pun intended) this part first.

If you come into this scene with preconceived notions, the word "feelings" being in proximity to the name Eddie may seem like to you that Maddie is pointing to "Buck's misplaced romantic feelings towards Eddie". But if you put these lines into context, Buck simply isn't sure of how he feels about his bisexuality in general. In fact, the only thing he's certain of in this entire conversation is his attraction to Tommy. Maddie also isn't bringing up Eddie out of the blue because she thinks her brother is secretly in love with his best friend. Again, Buck originally does want advice about lying to Eddie, albeit partly using his name to avoid revealing his date's identity, so Maddie gives it to him now, no need to read too much in between the lines, especially after the "wow" exchange.

Now that the Eddie stuff is out of the way, Maddie can comfortably gossip about Buck's new hot pilot crush. And Buck looks absolutely smitten at the mere mention of Tommy.

Eddie is undoubtedly a very important person in Buck's life, and it must be killing Buck inside for lying about something so important to his best friend. Though in this scene, Buck seems to be mostly using Eddie's name to circumvent the necessity of mentioning Tommy's name and to deflect any probing question about his identity. Once he accidently lets it slip that he was on a date with a guy, he pretty much drops the whole Eddie act entirely.

worHere’s to the woman who has taught me multiple things the last few years, such as daring to dream impossible things, new english words I found myself using as often as I can (such as “treacherous”, “nonchalat”, “indentation”, and many others who make me feel fancy af), the value of love, friendship and kindness, to jump into things unknown even though I might me petrified to do so, cause that’s just fearless, a bomb-ass recipe of chai tea vanilla cupcakes inspired by her sugar cookies version, to speak whatever it’s in my mind no matter what the repercussions could lead onto but also to watch the way I use my words cause they might me the most hurtful weapon I could utilize against someone or yet the most rewarding they could ever hear. 

Here’s to the woman who was taught me really a lot, to laugh about me, not care about what anybody else has to say about me, as long as it is negative criticism, hate or gossip, to value every little moment I can get with my parents cause they are getting older too, to embrace who I really am, to sway my hips everytime I dance cause she does that every single time (and thanks for that Tay, people really think I’m a great dancer cause of that), and to tilt my body either left or right everytime I try to not succesfully sing the high notes of every song, cause she does that (and she actually nails that part). Here’s to the woman who taught me black clothes could really work in my wardrobe and now I can’t get enough full black outfits in my life. Here’s to all the splendid things Taylor Alison Swift has taught me over the last few years. And not gonna lie about it, it has been a journey I regret no getting into early, but I believe God works in mysterious ways. 

I first remember hearing about this invaluable human being with Love Story and You Belong With Me, just like many other swifties have. And the first time I saw her perform live on TV at the 2010′s AMAS when she sang Back to December and wore her hair all straight for the first time which my sister says was a great and iconic fashion moment. I remember jamming to I Knew You Were Trouble with my cousin in one of our Chirstmas Eve dinners back when I was just 13. I recall hearing Red (the song) a lot in radio and jamming to it but in a subconscious level. 

Long story short, I became a Swiftie during the 1989 era. I recall one sunday watching the VMAS while doing homework and they announced TS was about to play her new song called “Shake It Off” which would be her first official pop single from her soon to be released full pop album “1989″. I freaked out hearing the song for the 1st time cause it was SICK! after that I found myself looking at the music video in youtube a lot actually, but then in my feed a live performance of “Welcome to New York” appeard. I clicked on it. And that was it. There was something so captivating about that song that got me hooked into the Taylor universe.

I went and bought the 1989 album months later just cause of that song. I LOVE IT SO MUCH, THE BEAT, THE STORYTELLING, THE WHOLE TOPIC OF STARTING AGAIN AND FEELING BRAND NEW IN A BRAND NEW CITY.

1989 really became the soundtrack of my sophomore year in which I learned so much about friendship, myself, romance and most of all, hearbreak.

I’ll def write on how much Taylor has helped me into my vision of love, I’ll do it someday cause that’s gonna be extensive and Im still trying to find the proper words to do that.

Cheers to everything you’ve accomplished the last 13 years. I love you to the moon and back, Thanks a lot for molding me into the human being I am today in such a possitive way. @taylorswift

Roses & Dreams have sth to do with TS7

Okay guys, so everyone has been getting aboard the TS7 theory for a very long time know, and even it seems kinda redundant to come up with new theories now I discovered something today that might make sense.

Yesterday I was watching #TaylorSwiftTuesday55 in Lauren Lipman’s youtube channel and when she was discussing a theory about roses, and France and how roses simbolize love and keeping in mind how frecuently Tay has been using them in merch and other stuff it’s very likely she’s gonne drop some info about TS7 while she’s in France later this week, however... The photo that popped at 16:49 (you know, the one with @taylorswift​ wearing a rose around her neck and the edit Valheria Rocha made for her) catched my eye.

It’s been like a month ever since Taylor posted that particular picture on her social media and no one is talking enough about it, and all the meaning behind it.

A little storytime, while Taylor was being extra creptic about the easter eggs (right before the ME! video was released, with all those random pics in her instagram: Diamond heart, yellow suit, opal rings, flowers in general, butterflies) I started to look for stuff in a book my mother bought a long time ago about the meaning of dreams, and how to interpretate them according to what’s ocurring in our lives at the moment (it was just for fun and to get a new interpretation about those things). The book works kinda like a dictionary, You look for the particular element you dreamt about and read the meaning according to the author.

Long story short, nothing that has never been said before came from my research and later the 4.26 countdown ended so we got like half of the answers cause this woman adores to mess up with our minds. I kinda closed the book with my dream theoriy, until Lauren’s video yesterday. On it, twitter user @ rikkileebelisle said the roses Taylor has been using are called French Roses, I google them and they also go as “Rosa de Castilla” in spanish.  Today after looking carefully at the previous post of Taylor with a rose in her neck, i decided to look for the meaning of roses in dreams again, but this time on the internet. The meaning of dreaming with rosettes (an arrangement or decoration resembling of a rose) is: “you will come to grieve for wasting precious time over trivial matters”.

SO: -Tay is literally wearing a Rosette in that photo

-Grieving for wasting time over trivial matters rings SO many bells, like the Kimye drama or the Bad Blood between her and Katy. My guess here it’s that Taylor is sending us hints that TS7 will talk about that topic,and how she kinda regrets putting her focus on that stuff instead on the other positives (almost like grieving her wasted time) -Also if you keep scrolling in the link I shared about the meaning of roses, you’ll see the meaning about “damask roses” ”To dream about a damask rose bush in the wild foretells of a marriage within your family”. YEP, if you google it you’ll find out damask roses and Rosas de Castilla/French roses are exactly the same. So, can we all agree that brings the engagement theory back?!?!?!?!!?!?!?! Also if you think about, The rosette Taylor is wearing in the photo it’s pretty similar to an engagement ring (shape wise, being the rose the big diamond of the ring, and probably the chocker around her neck represents the actual ring)

And also, her aesthetic has been very “dreamy” lately so there we have another clue. My guess it’s that the album is definitely is going (like the most part) to be about her thoughts and introspection about the latest situations/her life during and after the rep tour and how she got to blossom again into her oldself again, that’s what i think dreamy/the relation with “dreams” mean. (Literally dreams=introspection, when we are dreaming our brains show us images and scenes that are buried deep inside our minds, and sometimes we wish for things we cherish the most). Besides dreaming of roses & roses and dreams are phrases that sound really sweet and tender, similar to once again the visuals this era and that could easily explain why are we seeing so many roses this era. So, even we played a fool of ourselves during the 1989 thinking the album was going to be called “ROSES” I believe this time, we truly have something here. That, or I just turned into a big crackhead. @taylorswift @taylornation
