Alright I understand the frustration with the last two seasons. I feel it too, hard core. But like…can’t we try to be positive about this until we actually get content that goes one way or another? Yeah I feel the nostalgia bait too and I’m pissed about 15s run but fucking…that’s my girl yknow? I wanna be allowed to be happy about my girl being back and still having my reservations about pet stuff why do I have to fully feel negative about it all?

I just find it interesting that a- she wasn’t named the doctor and b- the regen energy doesn’t look like the normal one but looks like the particle effects of both bad wolf and the moment.

“You can’t be mad about the Rani stuff if you liked the master reveal in s3”- except i feel like the master was way bigger in classic, didnt fuck around with bigeneration which in my mind kinda fucks up a lot of plot going forward if they keep it around 0 cosequences, didnt have any weird 4th wall breaking stuff that will now probably go unexplained, and was also the first time the "last of the time lords" schtick was fucked around with. It’s been done, I cared more about the character from one episode compared to a full two seasons with ms flood, and the realtionship between the two characters is just. not there.

Idk if this just makes it so every time lord can and has been bigenerating like rtd said that one time but like. Everything just feels either bitter to me or straight up against stuff that was established in modern pretty vehemently and at this point? Idk what they could do about it other than blow some shit up and do new shit

Listen all I’m saying is I enjoyed every episode written by someone who wasn’t RTD this season and this finale might be like sitting on pins and needles to watch. I don’t get any of the plot choices that are meant to have an impact on the series as a whole and every episode that’s good is only good in a bubble with zero ties to main plot and very little cohesiveness as a season. Maybe I’ll stop my RTD rant after any amount of sleep but like. Idk I feel like shit about what he’s been doing.

Look I’m not even mad about the rani stuff anymore. I knew the leaks I was prepared. I know the 4th wall breaks are never gonna be explained but fine. All you had to do was just. Idk? Fully regenerate? Not solidify bigeneration as the get out of jail free card for the series’ biggest quirk?
