Silly question, but does Yasumi have a second name? And is her heritage Dunesfolk or Plainsfolk?

Well short answer is not really. Granny Yasu doesn't follow traditional lalafellin naming conventions because she probably wasn't a lalafell to begin with and Yasumi is only one of the names that aren't her original name but people saw fit to call her (Hingan wife used it once to describe how she made her feel, so she kept it.)

Longer answer re: her heritage is a bit of an oc lore dump.

She was born an Amdapori child (probably a hyur) with a name now lost to time. Her soul was used among many others' to power the guardian golems that would counter the Mhachi attack and she was consequently sealed in the same prison as Diabolos after the war. For the first 500 years or so that as they waged their own war in their own void bubble, he called her Kuribu (though it wasn't her own name so much as the amalgamation of all the Amdapori souls sacrificed to animate that particular guardian.) For the following 1000 years and as their initial animosity slowly turned into a sort of mutual empathy and then mentorship, he gave her a new name, Oriax, as well as the power that came with it and partial command over his legion.

Later when she was released from the void back into this realm she found she had taken on the features of what were once her people's enemies, the Mhachi Dunesfolk, carrying residual knowledge of their void magic passed onto her by Diabolos as well as her original Amdapori white and summoning magic.

No one was there to give her a lalafellin name, but Matoya did give her a proper Sharlayan name just so she could get her into academia, which she eventually despised and has long since done away with, the only remnants of which can be found scribbled in the margins under less-than-flattering doodles of certain Sharlayan individuals or cited in the footnotes of some books in the Gubal library..

I am going to come right out and say it: I do not give any shits if they get drawn or written into something NSFW/lewd.

Hells, I follow a few Lalafall artists that draw some damned dirty smut. Good stuff, too.

Not *once* has it ever crossed my mind that they look like children.

Because they don't.

Even if the artists get creative and draw boobs on the fems, more muscle, chest hair, veiny cocks on the male identified ones, it never fucking crosses my mind.

Every major Lalafell character we have met and interacted with (and lots of side/one offs) are adults. Adults who can get rather raunchy sometimes.

Momodi asking after other ladies trysts? Implications that Tataru uses EVERYTHING at her disposal to gather info while they're forced into sanctuary in Ishgard? That asshole who owns Costa del Sol ffs?

🐹Pet Names: Though he’s always doling out pet names, for him nothing comes anywhere close to the sound of his own name on Fyr’s lips. Since childhood, he had been given a title as is customary for the children of the Everlasting Dark, and even after he escaped, the title seemed to stick, so no one had called him by his name all that often. Hearing it invoked in his ear (well, his Source surrogate’s ear) by his lover like a prayer, way across the aetherial sea in another world, is really the deepest form of intimacy he’s ever felt. Fyr, of course, found that out very quickly and has been capitalizing on it since. It’s so effective it’s annoying sometimes (for Gabriel, the aforementioned surrogate.)

for 🌊phobias, not sure if it counts? if phobias need to be irrational? but a very legit very rational fear of his would have to be his tribe's mother/abuser. She's the main source of 99% of his nightmares, why he was afraid to sleep for a good chunk of his childhood (also very rational. The chemically-induced nightmares were real visions of past rejoinings) and why he can't be rid of the Children for good.

🐹Pet Names: Theneras seems to call him things the meaning of which is lost on him (and anyone outside that particular elf tradition) and he just goes with it. But at least when Fyr starts hearing things like vhenan and ar lath ma vhenan pour out of a breathless Gabriel, he knows he’s doing something right. He took it as the high praise it was, and it was enough to tickle the slight praise kink he never knew he had. Over time he developed a sort of pavlovian response to them and now they’re just as effective on him regardless of meaning.

🐹Pet Names: Her wife is a minimalist with her language as with everything else, so she keeps it pure and simple: My love. and Yasu would have it no other way. They’ve been together the longest (15 years) and although Yasu's accumulated many sundry pet names for her wife, like little jade, dango, dustbunny (Yuu has a family of spriggans) when it comes to intimate moments, “love” is really the one that stood the test of time.

🌊Phobias: It's very subtle, but if she finds herself in closed spaces with no doors nearby she'll get particularly irritable. It may or may not explain the weird half-covered door frames lying against random walls in her cave, presumed to be decorative (one has a butterfly symbol on the frame, for instance).

🦋What is their favorite season?

Yasumi: It would have to be early winter. Yuusei would rarely be away on a mining expedition in the winter and would usually be exhausted anyway after last Saints' Wake season with all the youkai running about the realm and in her head. So she would stay home where Yasu gets to keep a closer watch on her. Also, it's when the surge of desperate clients coming in for protection and purification charms and horary readings to locate missing children would recede into the usual mundane requests; philters sweetened with honey from Fullflower Comb (by far her best-selling potions) and horary readings to locate the occasional missing earring. Nothing so terribly urgent as to disturb her work*.

Fyr would have potted and brought most of her plants indoors (except the ones he's instructed never to touch... that seem to.. migrate on their own?) and the kitchen would always smell of fresh rosemary, marjoram and belladonna, her bread and butter of spellcrafting. And let's not forget the smell of roasted Gridanian chestnuts on a campfire in the evenings.
