“If you loved me so much, why'd you walk away?”

“If you loved me so much, why'd you walk away?” His voice was quiet, strained, his expression raw as he stared at her. "Why, Lily?"

She sighed. Heavily. "Because I needed a drink," she reminded him, holding the champagne flute aloft as proof. "I got you one too, remember?" She nodded now to the flute in his hand. "You said we need to, and I quote, 'drink our way through this evening if we are to survive'."

An easy smile broke across his face as he lifted his glass, studying the bubbles that rose to the surface like ripples in a pond. "Right, right," he agreed. "I remember now." He slipped his arm around her waist, drawing her in close. "It's all come flooding back to me."

She tried her very best to give him an unimpressed stare - it was just so bloody hard, when he was charming and he had that smile and those twinkling eyes, and looked like that in his Muggle suit and tie. Even when he was being a Class A prat, she still couldn't help but be drawn in.

She smoothed her hand over the lapels of his jacket. "You're a pain in the arse, James Potter."

He gave her a wink, and leaned down to brush his lips briefly against hers. "You wouldn't have me any other way."

"Hmm," she mumbled, fingers tangling in his tie now, the crowded ballroom around them forgotten. "Wouldn't I...?"

I know some of you thought that would be like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there’s no right answer BUT…you played it good & right. Congrats pals, you guessed the correct titles and feature artists on Red (my version). The vault tracks will feature Chris Stapleton, Phoebe Bridgers, Mark Foster and the first song Ed Sheeran and I ever wrote together the first time we met in 2012❗️I can’t express my gratitude enough to these artists for helping me bring these songs to life. I can’t wait til we can dust off our highest hopes and relive these memories together. We’ll also be making a bunch of new ones too, since Red (Taylor’s Version) includes so many songs you haven’t heard yet. Til then, I’ll be counting down and picturing it all in my head. The Post Plus Protest is coming! Updated Edition

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Fill out the survey on the original Post Plus post (be polite, don’t spam, but GET YOUR POINT ACROSS that we don’t want this). Since we mean business, it’s time to hit them where it hurts; Ad Revenue.

We’re proposing a 24 hour log off as the main event of phase one.

WHEN IS THE PROTEST?

The protest starts by logging off on August 6th, 2021 at 12am Eastern Time (US). Here’s a quick chart to help figure out when you log out. WHY IS POST PLUS/POST+ SO BAD?

Tumblr’s primary focus is on FAN content (whether any of us want to admit it or not). Putting these kinds of contents behind patreon like paywalls is a terrible idea and the legality is NOT in the user or their subscribers favor. You can absolutely get in legal trouble for what tumblr is proposing with this new feature. There’s also the worry about the site’s (poor) security and access to Post Plus users bank information. Do you really want a site that lacks a functioning search function and whose userbase routinely get hacked to have your credit card information? No, you really don’t.

WILL THIS WORK?

Maybe, maybe not. It’s an attempt at doing something to combat tumblr’s impending self-inflicted demise.

There’s a time zone checker linked in a previous post if you need it and I’ll try to fix any mistakes to times as I find them. Keep an eye out for future posts closer to the protest date and the eventual phase two! Thank you ALL for your support so far.

when madeline miller wrote “he is half of my soul, as the poets say" and when emily brontë wrote “do not leave me in this abyss! oh god it is unutterable! i cannot live without my life! i cannot live without my soul!" and when i started feeling this unspeakable longing for what seems to be a romantic connection just last night but my soul is whole in itself and seeks nothing more than the gentleness found in the presence of another.

First Becca Meyers, who is a swimmer, had to drop out of the Olympics because she is deaf and blind but wasn’t allowed to bring her care assistant

Now it turns out that Simone Biles had to drop out of the Olympics because they made her go off of her medication and what’s worse is that we know this because her medical history was leaked

For the record, Biles isn’t accused of using the medication as an enhancement, Japan has banned the medication from the country because they used to use it to drug their soldiers

Not to be that guy but this shit wouldn’t have to keep happening if all of you would add disabled people’s civil rights to the agenda. Maybe right after you get around to banning all plastic straws. I don’t know. Fuck us, I guess

Not stating my opinion on this but what'd you all think?

When Pro-Life people talk to me about abortion rights, I am open about the fact that if, for some reason, I ever got pregnant, I would immediately get an abortion. I do not want to be pregnant. I do not want to go through childbirth. It is not something I would ever want to experience.

That reason alone is enough for an abortion, and I don’t need to prove anything, because I do not owe the fetus my body. I am a person with free will. I do not want to be pregnant, so I shouldn’t be forced to be pregnant.

When they give me the whole “then just don’t get pregnant” spiel, I ask them for their time machine, so anyone currently pregnant and in need of abortion can use it. Since they don’t have a time machine to go back and stop the accident or the rape or whatever happened, abortion is still necessary in that case to stop unwanted pregnancy.

If they are trying to be my friend, or to act like it is “just a difference of opinion” then I ask them how many years they think I should have to spend in prison?

So many Pro-Life people will act like their opinion isn’t going to change your life, but it will. They are trying to control other people’s lives. Make them confront the fact that what they are doing to you is a hostile action and not some harmless opinion.

They get very uncomfortable when you point out their audacity.

Abortion should be on demand and without apology. Whether the fetus is alive or not doesn’t matter, and isn’t something that needs to be engaged with.

Even if the fetus is alive, we do not owe it our bodies.
