i THINK my issue as a writer is that in my head there's a platonic ideal of the story, the absolute Perfect story, and every word i write is in service to this ideal, so while i understand conceptually that a first draft will not look like a final draft, in my HEAD it is all still pointing towards a platonic ideal when in fact, in reality, there IS no ideal, just the best version that I am capable of telling, on account of i am a human and not a god and therefore not infallible.

now that this post has circulated enough i've had some kennys in my comments and dms ask if they could be the kenny i'm referring to, which feels like i'm the prince in a sort of queer platonic cinderella rewrite

went on a few dates with a guy and it didn't work out but i'm only really bummed because i'll never meet his friend he kept mentioning, "flamboyantly gay kenny" who won't stop getting in to "problematic situationships." thinking about you, kenny. in another life we're drinking vodka crans together.
