I often forget I have a tumblr. Dokidokon was a success! There were commissions and great people! Next up is Gencon where I'll be working with cascade games promoting a new game. Traditionally I like to be more freeform in My gencon experience, but this year more structure is good. After gencon we have some magic events/judging, and then flatcon prep. Flatcon will be the last memorial booth of the year, and then we will see where life takes us. Still doing a bunch of Karaoke, and making lots of new friends.

Intro.

Hello all, I'm Joshua Wiltse, the poet of (Kath)Ryn. For years, I was the partner of Ryn Reid. Since she passed away, I've taken to making art to keep here in my life. Through continued practice I've gotten to a place where I Can produce work that I am proud of, and my artist friends said I should have a tumblr, so here we are. Currently, I like working with traditional media. Pencil, pen, charcoal and oil pastel. Also copuc and prismacolor marker, and mixed media. I grew up reading the new yorker, so my sketches sometimes have that quality of fast line drawing. Not quite realism, not quite caricature. Also I find a lot of inspiration in the sky, finding shapes in the clouds and pulling out the scenes that I see there. I'm the Poet of Ryn, thanks for stopping by, let's be friends and make art!
