With the change in shape so too does the voice change, shifting deeper and less feminine.
"Goodness no. With how exceptional we are, this is practically casual dress."
Sliver knocks their shoulder back like they'd been shot. There's a wide grin upon their face.
"My word! I do believe you're breaking my heart. And on our first date no less. My lady, if I'm not your type, what is....this perhaps?"
There's another wave of green magic as their shape changes again, this time looking for more recognisable in the form of their mutual 'friend'.

Good evening my dear, I think it's high time we met, I believe you to have stolen my inventor. Would you care for some tea?

“To my knowledge I have stolen nothing.” Stephanie answers carefully.
She stands straight. Whatever this creature was. They were not of earth.
“How kind of you to offer. Unfortunately I am not thirsty.” She looks them over. Fae perhaps? It was best to be careful.
Especially if they were able to pass through the magical shielding on the Scantum Santorum.
Inventor…
She cocks her head to the side.
“Tell me more about your inventor. I’m sure we can straighten this out.”

"Icecream? It sounds a might bit strange but I'm open to it if it's on Stark's dime. Besides there's nothing wrong with wanting to be pampered a little bit, there's a spa down Mainstreet I love to go to if your interested afterwards"
She appearifies a tall mirror to stand in front of her while she checks her reflection and pulls gently at the skin around her face.
"Oh dear, I don't think this is my face anymore. I'm feeling a change coming on, I wonder how great a change it will be" She ponders aloud.
There's a flash of green that starts with her shoes and finishes with the top of their head.

"I think that's a bit better. What do you think, Doctor Strange?"

"I'll pay to have your review posted on the front page news of every paper in the world when we get home"
*-*
It all had to burn. Cauterize the wound before it infects rest of the world. Anything with his name on it. How dare he let something like this happen in his own company under his own nose.
Before long everything is covered in fire. He takes off, engaging thrusters to get the hell out of there as fast as possible. It lasts for all of about 6 seconds.
The Cloak follows the requested instructions and parachutes Stephanie safely to the ground while Tony crashes into the sand. He flicks off the crushed suit and removes his helmet. He sees Steph lying safely in the shade of the cloak a few feet away.
"Not bad"
It really wasn't all things considered. He probably should have died at least three times along the way about oh well. Maybe next time.
He crawls out of the suit and stumbles over to Steph.
"Hey Stephy come on now, last stretch I need you here."
He covers her head with his jacket, to keep the sun off her face and lifts her under her knees and behind her shoulders using the cloak for shade as he marches on in the hot sun away from that horrible place.
Who knows how long he walk before he saw the helicopters. There's joyous shout shouting as Rhody approaches with some fellow soldiers.
"How was the 'fun-vee'?"
Tony is so relieved to see him he might be crying.
"Next time, you ride with me. Who's she?"
"A friend, she needs medical care! She was shot! Ans the guns and the blood and Yinsen and the...theyhad my stuff and the battery and-"
"Woah woah, slow down there big guy. Let get you and your friend taken care of."
Rhody helps load the two of them into one of the helicopters and it takes them back to a soldier's encampment. Tony get cleaned up, the only thing they had for him to wear was one of his suits. Who thought that was a good idea he'll have to fire.
He sits next to Steph the whole time as her surgery is performed in the medical Bay before they are loaded onto an aircraft headed back for Malibu.
It was a simple spell. It shouldn’t have gone wrong. And yet sometimes the universe had other plans.
The blast knocked her out. She woke up in a pile of sand, the cloak of levitation gently shaking her. Sun, beating down on her.
“Where are we?”
The cloak shrugged.
Steph sat up. She was surrounded by dessert, sparsely decorated by scrubby bushes.
She stood dizzily to her feet. Her mouth was dry. It hurt to think. She wasn’t sure if that was from the spell or being dehydrated.
With a few movements she went to try and go home.
The spell fizzled.
“Oh I don’t like this.” Panicking wouldn’t help anything she needed to find other people. She shaded her eyes and looked around.
There! A road. She started walking.
Several jeeps drove along it. A smile spread across Steph’s face. And then the bullets flew.
The cars exploded. She broke into a run. Gasping as a familiar man crawled out.
It couldn’t be… then that meant-
She slid in beside him the cloak wrapping around her protectively as the bomb exploded. She tried to conjure a shield but her magic failed again.
They were flung backwards. “Tony?!” Steph managed before everything went black.

"Yeah yeah yeah, I've go you"
He pulls the face shield up and slips his arms and torso up through the neck hole.
"I've got her, can you get some supplies?"
He turns to look at the Cloak as he asks buy soon turns back to Steph.
"I won't lie starlight. I didn't think you'd be alive when I found you"
There's more shouting and firing in the distance and Tony reaches for the medical supplies the Cloak brings back.
"Medical degree is one of the few I don't have, this is going to be quick and dirty but we're getting out of here so we'll be able to patch you up a lot better soon"
It's a rush job but the bullet is supported and the wound compressed to staunch the blood. He wraps several layers of gauze pads over the wound and then wraps that with several layers of a tensor bandage to keep everything in place.
"We're in the final stretch now all you have to do is hold on and hold on tight."
He uses the cloak to support her weight and straps her tightly to his back.
"Let's go get Yinsen."
He walks back into the hall he came from and follows down towards the sound of firing, taking out anyone who enters his line of sight along the way.
They come across an opening, a room filled with dead men. Yinsen lays on a stack of sacks of gunpowder barely clinging to life.
"Yinsen?!"
"Watch out!"
Turns out one of the men wasn't dead yet. A missile fires towards Tony and Steph but Tony manages to redirect it before firing a missile of his own towards the man. He ducks but the missile hits the cave wall and he is crushed under the falling debris. Tony walks over to Yinsen, looking him over. He is so littered with bullets he looks like Swiss cheese.
"Stark. Stephanie."
"Move for me, come on. We got a plans. We're gonna stick to it."
"This was always the plan Stark"
"Come on, you're going tosee your family. Get up."
"My family is dead. I'm going to see them now."
Tony pulls back looking conflicted and distraught. Yinsen's breathing gets more labored. He can feel Steph protest even if his mind won't let him hear her. This man has already made up his mind. There's nothing to do for him now.
"It's okay, it's okay Stephanie. I want this. I want this."
"Thank you for saving me."
"Don't waste it. Don't waste your life"
Yinsen gargles, choking on his own blood. The light fades from his eyes and his chest stops rising. Tony turns away and marches to the entrance of the cave, shields up and guns drawn.
It was a simple spell. It shouldn’t have gone wrong. And yet sometimes the universe had other plans.
The blast knocked her out. She woke up in a pile of sand, the cloak of levitation gently shaking her. Sun, beating down on her.

"It's nice to be able to move around but it's a little snug in the gooey bits, you know"
Tony climbs to his feet and wiggles his chest as if to demonstrate and test out his limitations. Satisfied with his mobility, he goes the shake Yinsen's and Stephanie's hand in appreciation.
He jumps in front of Steph as soon as the pounding starts.
Tony watches Stephanie engage with the guards with a cross between shock and awe and confusion. He watches the gun raise. He raises his hand to pull her away.
Bang.
He feels his heart stop. Ice floods his veins. He's too late. Her lips move but he can't hear her. She's down and the guards pull her out of the room.
The world moves around him. Yinsen pulls him back to himself, shaking his shoulders.
Tony's eyes harden and he squares his shoulders, shaking on Yinsen but not in a mean way.
"That's enough time in here. I have work to do."
The hours pass by in a blur of heat and banging. Before long the building phase is complete and Yinsen helps Tony into the suit. The guards have caught on and are charging through the halls. The program is only 58% true initializing. Shouting and pounding can be heard from beyond the door.
"We need more time...Hey, I'm gonna go buy you some time."
Yinsen picks up one of the assault guns Tony was using for parts and charges past.
"Stick to the plan! Stick to the plan! Yinsen!"
It's to late, he's gone from view. The firing of guns and the shouting can be heard trailing down the hall. For a moment all go silent as the suit finishes powering up and Tony fears the worst.
The Limited power from within the cave has gone out as the next wave of men approach the cell careful not to step on their fallen comrades.
One poor brave souls approaches the only spot of light from within the cave only to be fired at by a Repulsor and blasted into a wall and proceeded to be shot repeatedly by his fellow soldiers.
Tony steps out from behind the wall clad head to toe in a steel alloy suit. From there it's just a matter of finding steph and yinsen and getting the f^ck out of here because the men fall to the ground like raindrops.
He comes across Stephs body first. He ties her carefully but securely in a piggyback hold using her cloak who seems to be able to understand Tony but that's an issue for another day.
"Come on Buffy, no time like the present to prove my doubts in magic wrong!"
