❝ August, huh? Not a bad name, ❞ Az gave a small smile, though it was difficult to tell if she was being genuine or not. She was good at that though, her tone never sounding like what she really meant unless she wanted the other person to know. Of course, his statement caught her attention, and the angel tilted her head in curiosity, the pieces starting to put themselves together in her mind. Before she could say anything though, he was talking again, and she huffed.  ❝ No one could see me from down there, I had myself shielded. Only demons and angels could see me like that – though I’m surprised. You’re NEITHER. ❞

He rolled his eyes in SLIGHT agitation at her words, though he didn’t seem quite as irritated as he could be. A small, if even VISIBLE to the naked eye, smile poked at the corners of his lips —evidently amused with her ramblings. After giving her a moment, allowing silence to fill the space between them, he finally gave himself the space to SPEAK.          ❝ Are you done? Can I speak now? I think it’s important          that we do. You may not—but I do. ❞

           “ I didn’t leave, I— alright I can’t think of some cop-out way to  r e w o r d  that               actually. Though hey technically look we’re talking right now. Does that count? ”

               It was highly possible she was being overly difficult, but she felt oddly                f i d g e t y at the ideal of having to stand there & actually let him get out                 whatever it was he seemed to think applied to her.

She raised an eyebrow up and slipped her phone out of her pocket, revealing the recorder as she pressed stop. ❝ Proofs right here. ❞ She said with a giggle,  ❝ ‘nd I mean your secret might be safe with me… y’never know do ya? ❞ She said with a squeak, laughter bubbling up in her.

He pulled a face at him; not quite liking his answer apparently. He rolled his eyes && SLOWLY folded his arms across his chest. ❝ Yeah, well, NEXT TIME we’re doing it my way. Got that? ❞ August was still obviously NOT ALRIGHT with how they did it, yet he was still willing to do it AGAIN.

     Oceanic hues narrowed slightly at the other, a tendon      in his jaw twitched in irritation at him.  And with a low      huff, he rolled his cerulean orbs at him.  “We should      have burned the fucker alive.”  he quipped, “But we      didn’t and there are things that we all wish we did      but didn’t.  We can't all get what we want, August.”

He sighed && shrugged his shoulders in response. ❝ Well someone’s got to && I know YOU’RE not going to do it so I’m just going to have to do it for you. ❞        He gave her a small smile before slowly nodding his          head. ❝ I’m ready whenever you are, Princess. ❞ He          teased gently, allowing his body to relax completely.

Lia peered at him with uncertainty as she wrung her hands together tightly. After several minutes of contemplation, the teal haired gal finally sighed and gave into August’s words. Smoothing down her hair neatly, Amelia adjusted her weight on her feet before stepping close to him only to stop within arms reach. A small, almost pitiful smile grazed her lips as she gazed at him.

                          ❝You have a lot of faith in me… I don’t know if that’s                            stupidity or bravery. Which ever one, it helped me                            relax.❞

A small shuffle of the feet and an inclination of her head, her eyes shifted to the ground before meeting his gaze once more.

“Pretended to be your dad?”  With an eyebrow perked up, Callie couldn’t help but be interested if a bit  confused. Messed up family histories  were kind of her thing. “Well that’s fine,  we don’t need help. I can handle it on my own.”
