OK SO I made a lil headcanons that the (main) cacao citadel denizens are generally separated into 3 general generations by age

First generation

Second generation (affo is here because of AGE. remember)

3rd generation (mulberry cookie goes here too)

My main problem is where does dark choco go ?? 😭 like on one hand I want him to be 3rd generation and have a close dynamic with carrow and mulberry but I also want him to be older bc it makes more sense canonically

older than carrow in the canon bc he’s described as a mentor by her, and I want him to also be older than crunchy chip. yet I also want there to be a dynamic with him & carrow/mulberry

Finally done!!!!

i’m calling this a project because its fairly detailed, has multiple reasons for me doing it, and it took me a little bit

i did these to work on designing each to fit my style better and just because i love speculative biology. these are small things, nothing big like how their powers work from a biological standpoint. but little things i felt like bringing up :)

*most of these are headcanons!

but here it is!!

Speculative Biology of the Legendary Dragons!!

going in order of their releases, starting with:

The Red Dragon, Pitaya

now, living in a volcano may make heat sinks a bit useless, but i feel like maybe they might draw IN heat in some strange way of assisting with fire, but like i said i wont go too far into speculation on abilities.

i think thats about it for this dragon, now onto:

The Gold Dragon, Ananas

this one was actually VERY fun to speculate! looking at things like the 4 wings and chestplate. i speculate that the larger pair of wings is flight based, being long and narrow for active soaring, like many seabirds. the smaller pair may be display as they’d be a bit awkward in flight. given the fact ananas is a dragon and the other dragons seem like carnivores, i think they’d be an omnivore since they receive fruits as offerings! And of course, they’re pretty heavy on the displays (i think being very heavy on display features is extremely fitting for this dragon and its personality)

moving on to our final dragon for now, (until lychee’s dragon form is revealed):

The Blue Dragon, Lotus

now, i first want to say; the reason i believe the tail flukes are display is because the tail itself is so long and thin, it would likely be a bit awkward to try and use for swimming, especially with how many are there. similar situation to ananas. secondly: as this dragon is based on plesiosaurs, the nostrils and no gills would be obvious, however, as plesiosaurs were marine reptiles like sea turtles and marine iguanas, they likely took similar measures to expel salt from their bodies (like sneezing or ‘crying’). Lotus, however, is stated to have lived in a lake, so there would be no salt to expel.

Please remember to take all of these with a grain of salt, as they’re speculation. A lot of these are basically headcanons, not canon.
