I don't know if this was intentional, but it's notable that the bird cage motif that's shown in Mahiru's first mv and trial 1 album cover is a round bird cage, which is considered inappropriate to keep birds in.
In this article, there are several points as to why they are bad, such as being difficult to clean and usually being too small, but the most relevant points here are that they cause psychological distress and the bars get narrower towards the top of the cage, which could cause the bird to get stuck in the bars and die. Considering that there are already feathers falling from the top in this frame, it's possible the beginning of the mv is from a time in the story where her boyfriend has already commited suicide.

Pretty people, there is no honor in suffering, there is no honor on being in pain, if you have something that could help you with that pain, please take it.
If it's emotional pain, talk to someone, ask for a hug, spend time with a loved one in the same room
If it's physical pain, take some pain killers, drink water, eat food, take a nap
I know sometimes those things aren't available, but if they are, please use them
I promise you deserve it, I promise you deserve to feel okay, to feel good.
Such a pretty person like you deserves the best, so please try to take care of yourself

In the past few years, he’s cultivated more than 200 pipevine plants (their only food source) and gives thousands of caterpillars to his local Botanical Garden (x)
