billy's messing with the keys and the lock, he's a bit of a control freak when it comes to. well when it comes to anything. @sordidery 's close, always. it's a warmth that billy has learned to not shy away from. it's not in his nature, and as much as he has tried, stu always comes back. he's exhausted, their stupid neighbors with their stupid small talk are like fucking sponges, and all billy could look at was at the steak knife in that blonde bitch's hand even as stu talked everyone's ears off.

he turns to look up at stu, the same dark stare he's always given him. now with a short smile, some lines in his eyes. like some of himself (truly himself) has been given back at him after the fucking sponges soaked it all up. stu knows just what to say. "you read my mind." he opens the door keeping his eyes on stu. his brain starts running and before he gets too far with it, and his head tilts. a question at the tip of tongue. "how would you do it?" he walks in, throws the keys on the bowl and uses his now free hand to grab at stu's shirt and pulls him in. "i wanna hear it." some things never change.

Immigration Defense Project is a great resource as it shows what rights you have and has pamphlets in various languages not limited to English and Spanish. It also has a section that shows ICE raids tactics! The IDP provides litigation, works with policy and advocacy, and provides legal advice as well.

We Have Rights is primarily used to know your rights in the aftermath of being detained. It provides videos on the different aspects of what rights you have such as having a right to an attorney, etc.

One of the most important thing to do is to have an EMERGENCY PLAN. The thought of being deported is terrifying and no one should be complacent in the actions this administration is taking. Regardless, it is happening and we cannot ignore it and it’s important to be prepared if you are affected by this reality. Having an emergency plan is important so whoever is not being detained knows who to contact, what medications are needed, the doctors, etc. are all put together in the instance the worst case happens. We Have Rights have the preparedness document at the bottom of the website if you are in need of one.

I would not change coming from a family of immigrants. I would choose it in every life time and to my fellow community, I hope you would too.
