So i’m just watching youtube, trying to chill out and whenever, when I get a Lego Movie 2 Ad for a video I was watching

do you see that timestamp at the bottom? Yeah, this is apparently 5 hours long.

And at first I was wondering, well is it the entire movie? No…this entire ad is for their newest “everything is awesome” type song. It is called “this song is gonna get stuck inside your head” and I am pretty goddamn sure it is going to repeat that one line over and over until my brain melts

So I am going to see if they really are playing it for 5 hours

I've got a hot take on the state of Isatcord rn despite not really being active there all too much. It's about more recent policies of the server, and, what is to me- the pretty much unnecessary archive of the Isat-aus channel. CW for a lot of reading ig lmao ------------------------------------ The whole "no darker themes then base ISAT allowed in this entire server ever" thing just feels like a reduction of creative outputs and speech and really just leaves a majority of dissenting ideas to just not gain any sort of traction because they're quite literally not allowed in the main server. If your art has themes or gore or violence? Can't put it in Isatcord. Making a whole fangame with cultish theming/references to darker moments in human history circled around it a bit? Can't promote it in Isatcord. Your au is darker then basegame? (a solid 85% of au's I'm interested in are to an extent) Can't promote it in Isatcord, Can't talk about the moments that hit you in the feels hard in Isatcord. #ISAT on Tumblr and making a whole new server for one ISAT thing are options but they shouldn't be our only options.

The server at its center wasn't just a place to talk about ISAT. There were creative projects being spat out here and there, dark but hard asf fanarts being shown out in the fanworks channels, etcetera.

If they really wanted to stop darker theming in the server to that extent; they should've done it at the start. Or, they should've just added CWs per channel that need spoilering rather then complete and utter removal. ------------------------------------

I dont have beef with tumblr or anything btw this place is rad as hell. I just don't want to use this for every single au/dark fanart i make. Tumblr is universal to near every fandom you can imagine. Isatcord is. For ISAT. If you have ISAT fanart-- put it in Isatcord? And now its like. Oh yeah if you have ISAT fanart that slightly exaggerates an element of the game to the point of it being 'darker'. It cant go in the 'CERTIFIED ISAT PLACE WHERE ISAT FANS HANG OUT AND SEE ISAT THINGS' and that just limits accessibility. I'm mainly just hoping they sack the rule, bring back the channel, and maybe try to leave more background messages to people with like. Bots or something. Iunno. just leave a sign for people to look at. Rather then making an entire new policy and slapping it on the front end of your server. Instead of that- just try and shove everything into a specific place for a manageable audience still in said place. If someones uncomfortable, they'd still have the option to distance themselves from those topics: but those topics still exist within Isatcord for those that prefer them.

As someone who remembers the deep lore of Toby Fox being an accomplished pianist who then struggled with his playing and composition because of physical disability in his hands preventing him from being able to play effectively and without severe pain (right around the time when he was scripting Deltarune, in fact)...

The whole narrative of Kris being unable to play while shackled to the soul and then immediately spending the 10 minutes they have free of it (after requisite plot scheming) to play a 8 minute medley of Toby Fox songs (which I'm pretty sure is just a straight up recording of Toby himself playing) feels pretty personally moving in a way that I'm surprised I haven't seen more people talking about. Like yeah, those little moments of frustration when the soul tries to play and just plonks in the keys, that hits, I bet.
