The thing about the philosophy of mathematics is that there's no articulable position so absurd that some influential mathematician hasn't genuinely held to it. You 100% cannot troll these people; you could walk up to a mathematician and say "I'm a radical finitist, I reject the existence of all numbers larger than 1", and not only would that turn out to be a real thing, some maniac has worked out how to construct set theory under its constraints.
I’m really looking forward to the day at work when the CEO comes online and says, “Congrats, that was everything we were gonna do. We’ve done all the work. That’s all the stuff we’ve planned to do. The products are all really good right now and we shouldn’t change them anymore. It’s just cashing checks from here on out.” And we all go outside and play in the river.
I know in my heart that Anne is a beverage person. She always has a water bottle + an iced coffee + a lemonade with her. Every time she gets gas she gets the biggest size dr. pepper they have. She has a million different syrups and flavorings at home for her beverages
The three-ring binder is the apex of book technology, by the way. All the advantages of a codex, plus you can add, remove, and reorder pages at will - pages which you can furthermore protect from damage in transparent sleeves, and store commentaries, notes, and other paratextual addenda behind them without obscuring the primary content. Truly the queen of codices. Reblog if you love the three-ring binder.

the way her inner self in her nightmare is her as a child, completely helpless, running alone through a library full of knowledge that cannot and will not save her loved ones from the unknowable monster that is death? are you fucking kidding me?
the way baby Marcille tearfully yells at Laios exactly why it's fruitless? using her own mother's words?? about how she runs faster than everyone else???? and the way "marcille running faster" is, from her perspective, "everyone else giving up"????? AUGHHHHHHHH
and then. the kicker. why do you think her pet as a child was a bird. something so long-lived. it was probably given to her after her father died. and then it couldn't catch up to her, either. bro.
it's like getting a lit match as a present after your sparkler fizzles.
