Sometimes people are so attached to a character being a himbo that they ascribe dumbness onto the character despite evidence to the contrary

I actually hate when ppl call Laios stupid. It drives me insane. He’s literally one of the most intelligent characters in the series, if it wasn’t for his expertise on monsters the whole crew would’ve been DEAD.

Ppl keep wanna shove him into the “dumb himbo” corner so badly and I don’t get it. He just can’t read others as well that’s where he’s lacking and why he isn’t the best leader, but that doesn’t mean he’s stupid.

It’s literally shown how Kabru is a great with understanding others and how they tick, making him a great leader and protect them from criminals, but they literally keep dying on the high floors. Why? Bc he doesn’t understand monsters, not like Laios.

And yet Laios, who brought the team down to the lower floors once before and does so again, is the idiot?

“He maybe stupid but he’s got spirit!” Like??? No??? He just does things unconventional but apparently that makes you dumb.

I swear to god one of these days were going to see a video of Amaury Guichon and he's going to be making some wings and they are going to look dope as hell, the detail of each feather will be breathtaking, he'll spray paint them to perfection, but as the video goes on, he's not building any sort of winged creature, just the wings. And then there's a human-sized harness (also made of chocolate, somehow, he can do it). And he's attaching the wings to the harness. And he's putting the harness on and he demonstrates how he can flap the wings. And then he'll be off. Out the window and up and up and up. And we'll be looking at the livestream (it's a livestream now) and we'll scream "No, Amaury, the sun! It's going to melt the wings!". But he knows this already. And he is free.

i think villains in general provide better, more epic romances because they're allowed to go to extremes. they're allowed to put their love over the greater good. they're allowed to be selfish. the best a hero can offer you is number two, because their duty comes first. villains, though. villains will burn down the world for a last kiss goodbye.

This is apparently a hotter take than I thought but: hating on lawyers as a profession, calling them inherently dishonest etc. is politically reactionary. It discourages defendants from seeking legal counsel, puts forth the idea that it’s inherently suspicious to insist on seeing a lawyer before you answer police questioning (your constitutional right!) etc. which ultimately just benefits the state in making it easier for them to convict you. This is one of those things that “progressives” who were raised conservative often don’t realize is one of the parts of their parents’ worldview they should question more, but they should. Not only are lawyers not The Problem with “our system,” but having someone who is educated in the law whose job is to represent your interests in court — getting one regardless of your ability to pay, even! — is in fact one of the best parts of it.
