My husband (has cancer) is a frequent customer of a local family-run pharmacy. It’s much more personal and welcoming there than at a chain pharmacy — they recognize us and I feel very comfortable asking them questions about medications (husband currently has a lot).

Anyway this week my husband’s prior authorization for a medication was delayed and he decided he would pay the out-of-pocket cost rather than wait a couple days for medicine he needs to go to work. It was a $100 prescription so this was tough but not earth-shattering.

Anyway; the lead pharmacist noticed that he was being charged for his normally-insured medication, asked him about it, and took 50% off as a gift. He said every year at Christmas they have staff and community contribute to a fund to help people pay for medications, and whenever a usual customer is facing an unexpected charge, they can cover some of the cost.

Apparently there’s a “kids shouldn’t be allowed in grocery stores” thing being spread on TikTok because they might scream or run around and look yeah that’s annoying but at a certain point you’ve gotta just put up with kids being a little annoying in public. Sure the kid pouring milk in the isles is the fault of a shitty parent and should be asked to leave, but a single mom with an otherwise controlled by crying toddler isn’t doing anything wrong. I think you’ll live if someone’s two year old starts screaming in their arms in isle 3. It might be annoying but that mom is probably having a worse day than you

Tired of some of these celebrities being lauded as trans-supportive when they do the absolute bare minimum and never even bother to mention trans men and mascs in their activism anyway. Kendrick Lamar did more for me with Auntie Diaries than any of these pop stars ever did but half of this website would throw up if they had to listen to a rap song.

as a poly person who is still figuring out how to do it healthily, i have run up against The Jealousy and will be attempting to cope healthily with two of my partners (one new, one established) having a day together without me for the first time. i believe i have a good plan and some words in my head that reassure me that i am not unwanted, but this is a scary test run.
