I just finished reading Priory of the Orange Tree today! Iโm curious to hear, what did you think of it? ๐ผ๐
Hi! I read it a few years ago because of the hype and I was disappointed. For me it was really boring at the start and took just too long. I have read other fantasy books with really good worldbuilding that catches you from the start. Also, I read it in German which might have dampened the experience because it's twice as long. I just remember that I wrote a review like: "it took 300 pages to get interesting". So yeahh- I didn't read the second book and am not planning to so so. It was just one of these hyped books where I was like: let's give it a shot.
What are your thoughts?
#interesting bc i was pretty gripped by the worldbuilding from the start! thought it was cool#not saying you're wrong of course ! i just think its interesting how these experiences can differ :))

Kiruna (town in northern Sweden) is moving their church across town (massive understatement it's a giant engineering project) due to expansion of the local mine,
but they're livestreaming it so at any point in time there are several hundred people just doing this

and I think that's great
#it was livestreamed at the library so there were a bunch of people (including me!) just sitting and having some fika and doing the old man#thing. it was GREAT.#meanwhile i was studying swedish grammar :) felt fitting
