How to control your expenses and get what you want.
How to control your expenses and get what you want.

Maybe you don’t have enough money to put back 10% for yourself every time you get paid. [see How to save money to catch up] Maybe you say to yourself, “I cannot afford to put back 10% of all I make, with bills and everything my expenses are too much!”
But think about this. When you got that better job, that amazing promotion didn’t you get more money to spend?? And yet you still say, “My…

Happiness. We crave it. chase after it. Spend our whole lives hunting for it. Money.  What makes the world go around and what we think will get us happiness. And the more we get the happier we think we’ll be. We think that by winning the lottery all our problems would be solved and we would finally achieve happiness, we think if we only would get that raise, that better job we could finally get…

Opportunity is one second long
Opportunity is one second long
Getting hit by a car is something that you hear is always happening to another person, but you never believe that it’s going to happen to you. And yet that’s exactly what happened to me almost four months ago. Sideswiped while riding my bicycle, I never saw it coming. You are not guarantied tomorrow, and you are only given one life. So if you have the tools to start building your dream today,…

The cockroach way to success
Frozen, beheaded, drowned, crushed, poisoned, starved, nuclear bombs,  dinosaurs, a cockroach can survive all these things. Now I hate cockroaches and they're disgusting creatures, but no matter what we do to destroy them the cockroach still survives. Why did I start this post off with such a disgusting subject such as cockroaches? Well, while we all hate them, we cannot overlook this creatures one outstanding quality that we could all learn from... persistence.
Persistence - firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.
The road to success is long and tiring. Littered with many failures, break downs, feelings of despair, false victories, and many tears of depression. But the one companion we have on this dusty, dark, and depressing trail is that of persistence. Thomas Edison failed thousands of times before he perfected the light bulb we have today. In 1919 Walt Disney was fired from the Kansas star because his newspaper editor said Walt "lacked imagination and had no good ideas". Dr Seuss's first book "To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street" was rejected by 27 publishers before one publisher finally gave him the chance he deserved. These pioneers of history all had the same companion the cockroach has had for 300 million years. Persistence. This is a quality you cannot go without if you are to climb the rocky mountain that is success. If at first you don't succeed try, try again, do not give up even when met by failure and opposition, two horrors that may seem like road blocks, but can actually be used as stepping stones if you pay attention to the lessons they teach. So keep on keeping on brave resilient reader. Stand strong and claim your victory that is forged in the fires of failure and hardship. Remember the brave pioneers who failed and succeeded before you, and remember the lesson of the cockroach.
