I was recently struck with inspiration, an inspiration to make a festival in honor of Lord Dionysos. The festival is called the Day of Pine & Grapevine, and will be held in early October (Oct. 10th 2025, or the second Friday of October).

(Encouraged) festivities will include:

-> Dancing

-> Sharing a meal with those you love

-> Enjoying the outdoors in celebration of the beginning of Autumn

Additional things I personally will be doing during the celebration (that you are welcome to participate in!) are wearing black, deep red, purple and white, collecting pinecones, eating grapes, burning incense, singing/playing music and ending the day with handwritten hymns.

A more in depth description will be given the closer we get to the time of the festival.

Stop asking everyone around you to validate your practice. Don't let others dictate your practice.

Some account on Tumblr thinks your offerings are invalid? Fuck em. Last I checked we weren't into this to please other mortals.

See some scathing post in regards to your specific philosophies or deities? Seriously ask yourself why you care.

Shed that hesitation, and that constant nagging need for rules and structure. Get comfortable with standing alone in your own beliefs. Your path is supposed to be different. If you wanted a constructed belief system or a hivemind, go check out a brochure on catholicism.

yeah yeah fire-based characters are destructive and angry and violent and evil blah blah blah BORING overdone. more fire as a lifegiver. warm and comforting. fire-based characters as guides lighting the way. personal heater in the cold and dark but don’t sleep too close or you’ll wake up with heat rash. fire sterilizes and cauterizes!! more fire-based healers. plants perking up and flowers turning towards them and they attract moths. fire-based characters who are hearths instead of wildfires!! the core of a home the pillar of a community the key to societal advancement. give them an internal flame that visibly glows and flickers instead of a heart that beats. extinguish that light when they die. etc

It's so great how sometimes we can just sleep pain away. Go to Sleep with a headache, He'll cradle your head in healing hands as you rest. Go to Sleep feeling nauseous, when you wake from His embrace you'll be as good as new. And not to mention emotional pain. All-Vanquisher indeed.
