i think people aren't aware of just how funny dr seward playing with a lancet while he's proposing to lucy is. for reference, here's what lancets (often used as a bloodletting tool, wink wink) in the 19th century would have looked like:

lucy says he's doing this 'when he wanted to appear at ease' like ah yes, our very suave suitor sits on his own silk hat and then proceeds to toy with an incredibly sharp medical tool to y'know. appear very cool and charming in front of the girl he's in love with. add to that he's playing with it 'in a way that nearly made [her] scream' so he is patently not doing a very good job with it. jack's now had the universal experience of fumbling in front of your crush while desperately fidgeting with something to look cool.

In a normal circumstance, I hate Netflix. However, they struck a deal to produce new episodes of Sesame Street and will ensure that the episodes remain free and accessible on PBS for all kids and for that, they deserve gratitude.

Additionally, unlike the deal previous struck with HBO, this one with Netflix also makes its so new episodes are simultaneously available via Netflix, PBS, and the PBS Kids app.

I’m tired of being told I hate people because I disagree with something they may say or think.

I disagree with LGBT ideology. Especially when it comes to pressuring kids. I don’t hate literal LGBT people. It’s ok to disagree with the way someone chooses to live their lives. Much like I disagree with the fact that people choose to worship satan, praise Hitler and deny that mental illness is a real thing.

I disagree that a certain race of color needs to be lifted higher than any other race. I believe all races of people to be equal in Gods eyes. There need not be any white/black/brown/whatever power. No one needs to feel superior to anyone else based on skin tone. I also believe, at least in America, every skin tone has the same ability to make a good life here depending on the choices they make.

I disagree with lots of people politically, morally. Heck- I even disagree with my own brothers and sisters in Christ. But disagreement does not nor will it ever equal hatred. I don’t hate anyone I disagree with. I should pray more for people I disagree with, but not to believe like I do. Just because I should pray more for people.

Me being white and struggling in my life doesn’t mean I hate anyone. What a ridiculous sentiment.
