1980s Soviet Synthpop. Альянс (Alliance) - Na Zare (At dawn) USSR, 1987
One of my absolute favorite songs, and the video has so much going on that you’ll discover something new each time you watch it. I posted the video on my personal blog in 2017 and it looks like that one has been removed from youtube, but I’m optimistic that this one will stay put since it seems to have been posted by an actual band member, Олег Парастаев, who I believe is the dude in the video in the baseball cap on keyboards. It seems that the singer, Игорь Журавлёв was keeping Альянс going in some form recently, with his son on drums and an original bass player, BUT, it also appears that, this very month (Feb 2019), a new album will be released with Олег Парастаев in the line-up (and some more reshuffling on drums and bass, but Игорь Журавлёв is still there). I’m sure I’ll be posting more about this soon.
