Not enough people know the Mormons believe Native Americans are Jewish people who turned away from God and got cursed by having their skin darkened, or that Mormons literally have Manifest Destiny right there in the text, no extrapolation. I’m not Native at all, but frankly, it’s one of the most disgusting things of that faith that caused me to utterly reject it. It is a vile religion that is white supremacist to its very core.

So much of the discussion around mormonism is just about how cRaZy the beliefs are and how stupid people are for believing it and not stuff like the fact that it’s a multibillion dollar abusive cult with millions of members brainwashed since birth and have known nothing else, influences state and national policymaking, owns an insane amount of land, participated in genocide, disallowed Black mormons and mormons of color full membership, has an LGBT suicide epidemic, runs a university that expels people for being gay/trans and withholds their credits so they can’t transfer them to another school, electrocuted gay students to the point where they committed suicide there, regularly covers up CSA, relegates women to mere servitude and obedience, constantly and willfully lies about its history and excommunicates people who talk about this stuff
