Story Time

So our middle school band director is young, and he went to our high school, and our band director taught him. Today, we had leadership training, and our director asked him about what this awful color guard outfit from an earlier yer that was supposed to be a firebird reminded him of, and the middle school director without skipping a beat said, “it honestly looked like a bloody tampon.” Everyone rioted. After everything calmed down a little, our high school band director turned to him and said, “it looked like a chicken you idiot!! This is why I don’t ask you things!!”

You know how, in one of my favorite parts of The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon’s like “guess what friends I totally found the Chosen One” and everyone is like SIGH UGH Ohhhhkay QUI-GON. And Mace Windu is like [side-eye] “You believe it’s this…boy?” while looking totally done?

I was thinking about this and realized what we really need is an AU where the reason they’re so annoyed by all of this and don’t take it 100% seriously is that this isn’t even close to the first time Qui-Gon has claimed to have found the Chosen One. Like, the Order already has a slew of initiates that came to the Order in the first place because at one point or another Qui-Gon was sure they were the Chosen One. He’s brought home plant life and brought it to the Council Room and been like, “It was the will of the Force that I bring back this shrub: I believe it is the Chosen One.”

DO NOT DO THIS.

This makes me so angry.

If you work in a movie theater and you do this I have no respect for you.

My younger brother is Type 1 Diabetic.

When we go to a movie theater, we always get him diet soda. If he were to get regular when we asked for diet, we would not give him the insulin he would need for it. If that happens, his blood sugar level could go so high he could go into a coma, go blind, or even die.

If somebody gave him regular soda instead of diet without telling us, that person could be responsible for a nine-year-old being killed or blinded.

Just thinking about that makes me so angry. I get scared every time we take him to a movie in case the people working there saw this picture and decide to do the same thing.

So this is my first OC that I have drawn digitally, I don’t really have a name for her, it’s just been a character design that has been on my mind. I might come up with a story for her later.

Ah yes Anon. I should totally NOT get mad or bitter at those who call 18 nell. Or bell or whatnot. However ANON I think you are missing a couple facts here.

One. It is extremely rude to ignore that I have taken the time and effort to make 18. I made her personality, I made her look, her actions, her feelings. I made her from “warm showers” “not a morning person” and “subject name here”. You’re correct I don’t own the test subject in aperture tag. Who canonly doesn’t have a name. In fact I was the one who started test subject 18. Fun fact there. HOWEVER I own her design I MADE, and her personality. Why? Because I MADE them 

Two. Imagine you had a character that people looked at and ignore the name you picked for them and slapped a new one on. They basically trying to make your character, you put time and effort to make, their own. It would be upsetting. It has already happened where people have drawn my 18 and claimed it was their own putting a new name on her. I found it highly disrespectful.

Three. I’m okay with people using my design and personality for 18, I just want credit for my work. I love 18. She’s one of my favorite kids. I will defend her and if you think it’s okay to draw an artists character without giving them credit for a design. BUDDY you are in for it.

So ANON, I want you to think before you send any artist this kind of ask. I hope you have a wonderful day.
