10/28/18 Michael Wright “WeWontBeErasedMN” On Sunday, between noon and 1 pm there was a visibility action for those affected by the Department of Health and Human Services' memo released by the New York Times on 10/21 discussing plans to revoke Title IX civil rights protections on the basis of gender identity and allowing workplace discrimination. It took place along the south side curb of Lake Street, starting at Chicago Avenue heading East towards St. Paul on to Marshall Ave. I walked among the protestors, the many people who were standing in solidarity, the activists and all the people with love in their hearts and on their signs. There were so many positive feelings and expressions it was a joy. The crowds went further than I was able to walk, there were cars driving along Lake in support, there were songs sung and bands marched.
