another thing i really liked about these two new episodes is the development of fionna and simon’s relationship, particularly how they reassured each other whenever one of them was clearly having a hard time. like simon continuing the story of how he and betty fell in love after fionna’s breakdown to cheer her up, and what fionna said about marceline possibly not having simon as a parental figure in the universe where she became the star

also fionna seeing the found footage of the ice king and realising that oh what happened to him was pretty fucked up actually? and her genuine concern for simon after learning about this? idk it just got to me
