so teenage boys being out of control is fine and theyre just confused young boys, meanwhile every piece of media is painting all teenage girls with the same horrid brush, annoying, obsessed, dramatic, hysterical, and we're just supposed to accept it? as if we aren't going through important physical, mental, and psychological development? with unregulated hormones?

i see so many people claim women blame everything on their hormones, yet its only teenage boys who seem to be allowed to express how terrible and horrible life is, meanwhile teenage girls are just expected to what? grow up in a world where they're treated as subhuman - well aware of the fact they cant make much change in their lifetime - with a big smile on their face? watching more and more restrictions be put on them, and their bodies treated as something sexual before they're even comfortable with their sexuality, meanwhile their male peers are allowed to walk around shirtless, and jerking off to violent porn is seen as something normal- and a punchline to some jokes?

a teenage girl masturbating is unheard of, it isnt commonly talked about, we arent allowed the sense of humor of boys, we arent allowed to have the same comfort with masturbating as boys do.

not to mention, common 'teenage girl' interests are constantly and consistently belittled, social media doesnt help that.

our body becomes sexual all of the sudden, we have breasts we need to cover up and we have all these new emotions and we're frustrated and we aren't welcomed in the same space as teenage boys, we aren't allowed the safety and comfort and humor of puberty.

because we'll never understand what it's like to be a poor teenage boy growing up in a patriarchal society.

maybe you're right, maybe I'll never understand because their worries and frustrations are so fucking shallow my brain cannot comprehend them.

The more I think of myself as just another animal, the better I feel about my body. Yup I have breasts, I'm a sexually mature female human. A caribou does not feel bad that her antlers have grown in. I eat, I am an animal. No other animal on Earth feels shame at the thought of eating besides humans. A mouse does not worry if her face is asymmetrical, a lizard does not attempt to take up less space, a boar does not think about her body hair. Dysphoria can only ever exist within the confines of a human society. Who made you feel so bad you felt the need to self implode? A person? A collective? There's nothing noble or profound about self destruction, even single celled organisms want to live.
