My name is Kyle Sanders, I am a 19 year old from San Francisco,CA. I am a currently at freshmen at Paul Quinn College studying communications. I want to study abroad to see the world, get the chance to learn, better my career opportunities, possibly find a new interest, and have new life and experiences. This opportunity would allow me to earn credits towards graduation as I learn the culture, language and engage with a native family that will house me during my stay.

My name is Alina Connie. I am from Chicago Illinois. I am student at Paul Quinn College majoring in Mass Communications. I enjoy things such as art, music, and makeup. I look forward to traveling to Spain to explore the different aspects of art such as dress, hair, and culture. I also would like to practice my Spanish. I want to explore and expand my cultural lens on humanities, society, politics, and economics.

1- Why study abroad? Because it will positively impact my life in many different ways, such as meeting new people and learning more about the culture

¿Por qué estudiar en el extranjero? Me gustaria estudiar en el extranjero porque es una oportunidad para que yo conosca a nuevas personas, y pueda aprendar de otra different cultura.

2- Why are you especially interested in visiting and studying in Spain? Im especially interested in studying in Spain because it is a country that is well known for its people and its landmarks, I believe that learning Spanish in Spain will allow me to borad my Spanish speaking tongue.

¿ Por qué te interesa visitar y estudiar en España? Meinteresa mucho estudiar en España porque es un pais que es conocido por su gente y Tambien por su naturaleza, yo creo que aprendiendo el Español en España me ayudara a mejorar mi español que yo hablo en los Estados Unidos.

3- What are you looking forward to the most? What im looking forward is to try different types of foods, ive always been a passionate person about learning different cltures and especially trying different foods.

¿Qué es lo mas que estas deseando de este viaje? Lo que yo estoy mas desiando en este viaje es la comida rica que España ofrece porque yo estoy bien apacionado en aprender nuevas clturas y tartar nuevas comidas.

To enhance my speaking, listening and understanding about the language, people and culture.

This would give me an opportunity to broaden my horizon, experience a new country and taste authentic Spanish Cuisine.

¿ Por qué te interesa visitar y estudiar en España?

Esto me daría la oportunidad de ampliar mi horizonte, experimentar un nuevo país y probar la auténtica cocina española.

 3-What are you looking forward to the most?

I am looking forward to visiting Madrid and Barcelona, Spain. I want to see the amazing hanging houses. To explore the museums and cathedrals

1-    Why study abroad?

I would like to study abroad because I think it would be a great learning opportunity for me and my future career. Since I plan on helping minority children with mental health I think learning other environment and social standings will be a helpful way for me to understand my clients.

¿Por qué estudiar en el extranjero?

Me gustaría estudiar en el extranjero porque creo que sería una gran oportunidad de aprendizaje para mí y para mi futura carrera. Dado que planeo ayudar a niños de minorías con salud mental, creo que aprender de otro entorno y posiciones sociales será una manera útil para que pueda entender a mis clientes.

2-   Why are you especially interested in visiting and studying in Spain?

Like I said before I want to help minority children, that mostly being Hispanic and Black children who cannot afford mental health. I think mental health is an underfunded subject that is not well taught and emphasized for children. I hope that Spain will be one of the many places I hope to visit in order to not only learn separate languages, but the culture, that way I can properly treat my patients.

¿ Por qué te interesa visitar y estudiar en España?

Como dije antes, quiero ayudar a los niños de minorías, que en su mayoría son niños hispanos y negros que no pueden pagar la salud mental. Creo que la salud mental es un tema con fondos insuficientes que no está bien enseñado y enfatizado para los niños. Espero que España sea uno de los muchos lugares que espero visitar para no solo aprender idiomas diferentes, sino también la cultura, de esta manera puedo tratar a mis pacientes de manera adecuada.

3-   What are you looking forward to the most?

I am most excited to explore and learn more about the culture in Spain. I am a very adventurous person who loves to learn as much about something that I can, really immersing myself in the subject. There is so much that Spain has to offer that I am ready to take charge of.

Estoy muy emocionado de explorar y aprender más sobre la cultura en España. Soy una persona muy aventurera que adora aprender tanto sobre algo que puedo, realmente sumergirme en el tema. Hay tanto que España tiene para ofrecer que estoy listo para hacerme cargo.

Hello, my name is Carnealus or in Spanish “Cornelio”. I am a presidential scholar, studying business fundraising and philanthropy, and I am from Waco Texas. I want to study abroad because, as a future global philanthropist it is very important that I understand cultures different than my own. Hello, my name is Charles Johnson. I am from Saint Paul, Minnesota and currently a junior at Paul Quinn College. I am majoring in accounting with hopes of running my own business one day. I want to study abroad because the opportunity gives me a chance to not only learn about different cultures but to also experience them. The opportunity would also help me become more culturally aware, which would help me in the future from a business standpoint. Overall, I am excited to study abroad in Cuenca, Spain and to represent Paul Quinn College!

Hello, my name is Andy Reyes, I'm from Houston, Texas. My major is business management and I'm a sophomore here at Paul Quinn College. I am glad I was given the opportunity to study abroad, and the reason I want to study abroad is that I want to learn more about my self and also I want to meet new people from different cultures.

I want to study abroad to open my horizons to new experiences with new cultures. I want this to help my career as I would like to open my own non-profit mental health center for unprivileged kids.
