Digimon Comic Example Page 1 - 2

Finally get around to finish the first two pages for our Comic example and I also upload them both since only the first one would be boring. xD The first page and it already was a little challenge. I had to think on which shading technique I should use, since it’s a landscape and detailed shading would be too much. So I went for soft-shading, added texture for the grass and the cell-shading for the important objects like the tree and clouds. As you can see in the second page I want to use Cell-Shading for characters and a bit of Soft-shading for environment, shadow and light effects. And yes, we use the Manga format, meaning you have to read from right to left.

As promised, Riza and I are working on a little example for our Digimon comic project, we would like to put into practice. It’s a four page short-comic and the sketch pages are uploaded fully to our Patreon and we are already working on the inking.  With those pages we want to show you, what art-quality you can expect from this project and hopefully get you interest in supporting us.

So far, there is no script for the story (only notes I made to remember the storylines) and we only want to start actually working on it, when we reach our minimum goal on Patreon. (Comics just take a lot of time and Riza is a freelance artist, who needs all the support he can get.) Important: You can become a patron already, but we won’t charge you anything, until we seriously start with the project, which you will informed about.

The story takes place during the storyline of Digimon World: Next 0rder, but mostly features some side quests, which story I expanded a bit. The main character is my Tamer OC AJ. Due to the nature of the game, she will have different partners every new chapter. The Digimon here are Yazu (Impmon) and Argus (Agumon), who are her main partner and will later appear in their own story arc.

Hello everybody!

We grace you with something new and different from our usual Digimon Chibis. I (Pikuna) have fallen back into the Kingdom Hearts fandom, due to all the trailer released for the third main game and so I wanted to celebrate this with a few Kingdom Hearts Chibis. They were far more complex then most of the Digimon designs we did before (apart from the Ultimate/mega ones) and especially their Keyblades were a challenge. (I spent hours on Lea’s Keyblade with the fire/glass effect, but I’m happy how it turned out in the end.)

This is the only batch of KH Chibi we planned for now. If you would like to see more of those, let us know or start supporting us on our still-in-progress-Patreon to be able to vote on franchises and characters.

Hello guys! Me (Pikuna) and Riza23 want to start a new Collaboration Project that for the moment contains drawing Chibis and test out a comic one-shot (which could become a series). At first we want to concentrate on the Digimon and Pokemon franchise, but want to expand to other movies, shows and games. For now have the new addition Gatchmon to the “LeadDigimon-with-Food” collection, that we already started a few years ago and the first motives for the Digimon Chibis. To support our project you have several options:

Teepublic: is not only a shop were you can get T-Shirts with those motives, but also cases, mugs and stickers. (Also, for the first 2 days and 18 hours you guys get a discount on the products.)

Gumroad: If you want those motives on merch that we don’t offer or simply want to use it for non-commerical use (for banners and stuff) you can purchase the .psd and .png file of each motive.

Ko-Fi: A donation page, where you can support us with a cup of good old coffee (or cocoa), simply because you like our content. Rewards are also included.
