been reading stormclan's folly and besides generally liking it, i genuinely broke down crying about the fact we got not only a canon gay couple in the text, but a canon bi cat.

like, holy shit. thats ME. im bi. and im just. staring at this character that is too. in a book series i thought for so long would NEVER get canon lgbt characters.

Sorta repost of an older tweet of mine but I seriously still hate the way Sleekwhisker is portrayed as some evil “girlboss” who likes killing others for fun and not a victim of a cult lashing out at those who failed to save her.

I’ll never be able to stop thinking about this line. Being manipulated into hurting those around you, even killing the cats you grew up with, and growing up to see how easily everyone else moved on from you. No one tried to save you. You were only ever a brat and now that’s just all you’ll ever be.

it's not gonna happen but I pray that somehow all of the exiled clancats these past few arcs (Sleekwhisker, Breezeheart, Fognose) come back under Sol's leadership because that's be funny as fuck

Berryheart but if I wrote her because I can give these characters the depth she deserves.

Berryheart’s favorite child was Needletail. She was her first child, and at the time, her only child. She swore she would protect her through everything, but she didn’t, and in a way, she doomed her.

Berryheart was one of the two warriors to actually ally with Darktail initially. I don’t see very many people talk about it even though it juxtaposes her later characterization. And I think this moment was a big part of regret for her.

Berryheart supported her daughter’s rebellious nature. She agreed with her that Darktail would be a better leader than Rowanstar and left ShadowClan to follow him.

But what did this lead to?

A big part of ShadowClan was wiped out, and her daughter was dead.

And does this run through her head? How her decision resulted in the death of her only child. She failed everyone.

So what else is there to do? Rebelling against the warrior code caused Darktail to take control, so now, she had to follow every bit of the warrior code.

She couldn’t mess up with her new litter. She had to ensure none of them must be led astray like Needletail was.

And it falls apart again.

The warrior code has been reworked, and cross-clan relationships were now legal. But they represented the act of disloyalty. By being disloyal to your clan once again, only harm would come your way. So when both Sunbeam and Spireclaw have fallen in love with cats from other clans, are they just repeating history?

Everything Berryheart did was to protect her children, but she misunderstood what that meant. She ruined her relationship with two of her remaining kits, and was exiled for trying to take down her current leader. Was this act of trying to remove Tigerstar from his leadership position, was she not repeating her past mistake of rebelling against Rowanstar?

And I think as this tragedy continues, as she tried to protect her kits from any harm, she loved them, but not as much as she loved Needletail.

i'm rereading avos and i think violetshine needed an arc where she realizes that needletail was a shitty friend. where she comes to terms with the fact that it was needletail who brought and kept her in the darkest part of her life, even though she gave up her life to get her out of it.

also i think needleclaw should've been named zeldaclaw. first off, i think this makes more sense for violetshine's character. violetshine can hardly talk about her time with the rogues, and i think that naming her daughter after her troubled friendship would bring up more painful memories. her relationship with zelda was much more positive. second off, zeldaclaw is such a good skyclan name.

not involved in the Daria fandom because its too small but if anyone cares to listen, stop shipping trent and daria. she was 16, he was 21.

the point of this plotline is that daria has an embarassing crush on somebody. it shows us that she isnt too different from your average teenager that she so often feels set apart from. this unachievable crush, it brings her back to earth "you did something stupid for a guy, you might just join the human race after all" -Jane.

the point is just that she has a stupid crush. like the stupid crushes we've all had before and that never leave our thoughts alone and confuse our emotions and make us go through an identity crisis.

also the scene where she tries to imagine a future with him and its a nightmare should be saying something if the age gap isnt. they are not made for eachother. trents lifestyle and attitude would only drag her down in life.
