I finally went through and cleaned out some of my old blog posts from my pre-fully-cooked-brain era. Bro, whoever tried to teach kid-me about digital footprints did NOT do a good job.

My fatal mistake is, "wrong time, wrong place!"
New song! And a video to memorialize my beautiful long hair before the evil barber cut it all off.
You'll never guess what this song is about (it's about Maya Fey from Ace Attorney getting accused of murder in every game she's ever featured in).

“This thing is legally dubious and therefore technically unenforceable.” Is not a “useless liberal gotcha” it’s how legalism works in this country. Tying up stupidly worded EOs in court is the quickest way to keep them from being implemented. It is the definition of “doing something.” But it doesn’t usually involve much tweeting so of course a certain type of leftist feels obligated to mock it.

the problem with found family as a concept is that ppl who are into it aren't open to the fact that family is built on power dynamics, weirdness and often abuse. you can't have grown ppl going like "you're like a mother to me" and say it was very normal and that we shouldn't call freud

About a decade ago, I came to the horrifying realization that I was Aro/Ace. As someone who has always loved love (especially in fiction, books, movies, etc!) it felt like I'd been doomed to a life where one of my biggest aspirations, romantic fulfillment, would simply never come to be due to circumstances outside my control. After about five years of trying and failing to muddle through one-sided relationships, I got frustrated enough to write a song about it. I recorded the song on my iPad, titled it Aromantic Moodboard, and posted it to YouTube. I expected it to get less than 100 views.
Instead, I received over 129k views on YouTube and over 1 MILLION streams on Spotify.
More importantly, I received an outpouring of love, support, and even comiseration from the AroAce community. It was tremendous. It is STILL tremendous--and it blows my mind whenever I think about it. In honor of the song's five year Spotify anniversary, the 1M stream milestone, and Valentine's Day, I decided to rerecord an acoustic (clean) version of the song for all of y'all to enjoy. Please give it a listen!
Finally, thank you to anyone and everyone who has given Aromantic Moodboard a listen. I <3 you all.

I really like this russian edition of classic books. Letting famous artists do the covers in YA style was such a simple but clever decision. According to the recent study the number of teenage readers increased, possibly thanks to these covers. I own traditional classics with blank covers but if I ever see one of these in the wild, it’ll probably make me go feral.
Here are some of my favs:

Dracula (art by Renibet)

2.Jane Eyre (art by Ulunii)

3. Little women (art by чаки чаки)

4. The Idiot (the hedgehog-omg-) (art by Xinshi)

5. Pride and Prejudice (art by Cactusute)

6. War and Peace (art by Xinshi)

7. Wuthering Heights (art by Renibet)

8. The Great Gatsby (art by NIKEL)

9. Frankenstein (art by Iren Horrors)

10. Crime and Punishment (art by REDwood)

11. Anna Karenina (art by Ulunii)

12. The Cherry Orchard (art by lewisite)

13. The Master and Margarita (art by Renibet)

10 Flaws to Give Your Perfect Characters to Make Them Human
If you're tired of the usual vices like arrogance or impatience, here are some unique (or at least less basic) character flaws to give your perfect characters:
Pathological Altruism
A character so obsessed with helping others that they end up doing more harm than good. Their inability to let others grow or face consequences creates tension.
2. Moral Narcissism
A character who sees themselves as morally superior to others, constantly justifying selfish or harmful actions because they believe they have the moral high ground.
3. Chronic Self-Sabotage
A character who intentionally undermines their own success, perhaps due to deep-seated feelings of unworthiness, pushing them into frustrating, cyclical failures.
4. Emotional Numbness
Rather than feeling too much, this character feels too little. Their lack of emotional response to critical moments creates isolation and makes it difficult for them to connect with others.
5. Fixation on Legacy
This character is obsessed with how they’ll be remembered after death, often sacrificing present relationships and happiness for a future that’s uncertain.
6. Fear of Irrelevance
A character-driven by the fear that they no longer matter, constantly seeking validation or pursuing extreme measures to stay important in their social or professional circles.
7. Addiction to Novelty
Someone who needs constant newness in their life, whether it’s experiences, relationships, or goals. They may abandon projects, people, or causes once the excitement fades, leaving destruction in their wake.
8. Compulsive Truth-Telling
A character who refuses to lie, even in situations where a lie or omission would be the kinder or more pragmatic choice. This flaw causes unnecessary conflict and social alienation.
9. Over-Identification with Others' Pain
Instead of empathy, this character feels others' pain too intensely, to the point that they can’t function properly in their own life. They’re paralyzed by the suffering of others and fail to act effectively.
10. Reluctant Power
A character who fears their own strength, talent, or influence and is constantly trying to shrink themselves to avoid the responsibility or consequences of wielding it.

Good news BUT :
The biggest turn out is on election night - you cannot let our lead drop - if anything we need to push for a larger gain to account for trump's likely lies and tantrum of another "stolen" election. GO VOTE. Link through image to full post.

Full disclosure I do vanity search my name sometimes and even though I am so grateful for the love that people have given Aromantic Moodboard, just know that if you are one of the few people who has posted about one of my lesser known songs I am kissing you on the mouth forever.
