Sotenberg’s Last Will & Testament expressed his desire to assist first time patentees and novice inventors with financial assistance. His legacy has now been extended to the fifth deserving individual who has been selected by members of the Edison Inventors Association for originality of an invention, perceived benefit of the invention, and entrepreneurial intentions. The EDISON INVENTORS ASSOCIATION gathers in Ft Myers, Florida, at the very place Thomas Edison and Henry Ford created many of their inventions. What better place to recognize ingenuity! This year’s winner MERRILL A. LUND receives the $2,000 award upon proof of patent related expense receipts incurred in pursuit of intellectual property. Merrill used digital technology to present his product, the Career Extending Device for Manual Therapists (Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy, Chiropractic, etc.) This patent pending invention is designed and developed by a Naples Florida Neuromuscular Therapist. The purpose of the tool is to allow the doctor or therapist to provide massage as effectively as by hand with less strain on the therapist.
