alice wore her own wide grin, eyes bright and full as she watched drizella during those moments of quiet that floated between them. it wasn't uncomfortable quiet - it was very much the opposite. comfortable and safe, warm and easy. and she could stay like this forever, honestly.

" wonderland? " she found herself asking, a sound of laughter, of joy to her words. she didn't know where driz had gotten that word from, but... " i like the sound of that, actually. " and as she spoke, a hand reached out to let fingers brush lightly against drizella's cheek. god... she couldn't help but wonder, time and time again, how and why driz had chosen her. over anyone... someone so beautiful like drizella had chosen her.

" well, i have no idea where wonderland is, but... if it's with you, i'd be more than happy to be stuck there forever. "

⋮  ❛ ─ it    was    an    educated    "guess"    as    some    would    call    it.    one    would    only    have    to    look    between    point    a    *&    point    b    to    reach    the    same    conclusion    as    gabriel.    there    are    no    immediate    vibrations    in    his    ears,    so    the    evo    knows    peter    isn't    lying,    but    that    doesn't    mean    he    is    off    the    hook    either.    he    raises    a    brow,    pressing    his    lips    together    briefly    before    speaking.    ❝    you're    not    lying,    but    you    are    hiding    something.    ❞     he    states    a    matter-of-factly.    ❝    cough    it    up    peter.    ❞

a part of him is insulted that that's the first thing that gabriel thought to ask him. he looks up from patting out the scorching spots on his shirt, the insult clear on his features. "no! not...not intentionally!" peter checks the smoking spot on his shirt before realizing that it's a wash. the t-shirt was beyond saving and would need to be tossed. he sighs, yanking it over his head and tossing it in the general direction of the trash as he heads toward the bedroom for a fresh shirt. "okay, first thing, that was one time and that was because it was a new power that i didn't even know that i'd picked up! you can't keep holding me responsible for that! and secondly, i got fire thrown at me. there's totally a difference!"
