When Ryan had invited her over to his place for drinks, she couldn’t pass at the opportunity to see one of her closest friends. It had felt like years since she had seen the actor and she was eager to finally spend time with him after so long. A lot has happened since the pair had seen each other. Scarlett had recently ended things with with Colin after he had proposed to her, she wasn’t ready for a third marriage and would not deal with the stress of another relationship in the public eye. Thankfully, tonight she would be able to take her mind off of all of that nonsense and spend time with Ryan. 

Her eyes drifted to the boxes in the corner of her friend’s room and let out a small laugh, “I completely get it. It took me months to unpack. My mom had to basically force me to get my shit together.” She had watched him walk into kitchen and smiled at his question, “I need something strong. Do you have any vodka? I’m trying to have a good time tonight.” The blonde laughed as she made herself comfortable in his living room. “I told you, I would always make time to see my favorite Ryan,” she teased him, giving him a small wink. 

At her response, a low chuckle left Ryan’s lips. The man shook his head from side to side as he finished the contents of his glass, “Okay, but I do have to ask. Did you really unpack by yourself or did you hire someone to help you do it? Because this is a judgement free zone and if you did hire someone I wouldn’t blame you... in fact, I might ask for their number.” The male said with a sly smirk as he stood up when the blonde mentioned she needed something stronger. “Vodka coming right up.” Ryan announced, getting up from the floor as he made his way to the kitchen. Bringing a bootle of Grey Goose, which happened to be his favorite vodka, and a bottle of cranberry juice in case her companion for the night wanted to mix it up. 

“Neat? On the rocks? with cranberry on the rocks?” The Canadian pondered while sitting next to her, waiting to prepare whatever the actress desired to have. “And trust me, I’ll make sure you have a good time tonight.” Ryan promised, once again focusing his attention solely on her, which wasn’t the hardest thing to do, given how insanely attractive this woman was. “Speaking of, should I wait until we’re a little drunker so I can ask you to let me film you saying that I’m your favorite Ryan?” He inquired with a chuckle. “Reynolds being Deadpool has a lot of leverage over me, I feel like with you saying this... I’d some how get my groove back. You can even ask for anything you want in return.” Ryan stated, keeping a slight humor in his tone.

dove: i actually did wanna watch the bodyguard, but didn’t know if I’d get into it. but Peaky Blinders is AMAZING, you’ve got taste.

ryan: I know, this officially makes me the less cool ryan. I'll add it to my list, promise.

ryan: you should! it was a show that kept you at the edge of your seat. And right? For a long time I was trying to came up with character ideas to pitch to the producers, cause you know, who wouldn't want to be in that show right?

ryan: I think I must be part of that 2% of the World's population who still hasn't seen The Office.

ryan: this show called Bodyguard with Richard Madden is pretty goood, you also can't go wrong with Peaky Blinders.

For the past year Ryan’s life had been relatively easy, mostly focused on work and being a good dad for his two small girls. Which didn’t often leave time for anything else. He hadn’t kept in touch with a lot of his friends, Scarlett being one of them. And that was something the Canadian actor was trying to change, especially since he had recently moved back to the US. It was simply easier to keep to himself and forget about the rest of the world but despite the fact that it made his life less complicated it also made it slightly lonier. That’s why upon moving he had already begun reaching out to people he used to be close with, doing his hardest to keep the laziness aside. And that’s how Scarlett and himself had agreed to get together that night, hang out, have some drinks and talk about life’s mysterious ways of surprising us. 

“I’m still sorry about all the boxes.” Ryan chuckled, eyeing the still unpacked items that were in full display on one corner of his spacious living room. “I think the only thing worse than packing... is unpacking.” The male nodded his head, sipping on his whiskey as he stood up to bring more snacks from the kitchen. “Can I get you something else to drink?” He questioned when he returned to the floor where he was sitting, in front of the fireplace, placing the snacks on the table near him “I have to say I’m glad you finally made the time in that exclusive social agenda of yours to hang out with me.” Ryan commented, with a hint of humor in his voice, as he redirected his baby blue eyes to Scarlett’s mesmerizing emerald ones.
