The entire time, Alexander can’t do anything but think about Solo, and think about what his own life will be if Solo never wakes up. He can hardly imagine his home without the sounds and smells of food cooking while Solo sings along to the radio, or imagine his bed wide and cold and lonely. Teller gets up to pace. Kuryakin, meanwhile, has been staring at Alexander. Finally, Kuryakin murmurs, “You really love him.” Alexander sighs. “I really do,” he says, voice thick. Kuryakin looks away and swallows heavily. “I am sorry I could not bring him home to you.”

The Man From UNCLE movie is almost 10 years old! It's time to celebrate! Presenting - The Ten Years Later Affair! A low pressure fanworks fest inspired by the theme of "Ten Years Later". All formats of any length are welcome. Be as creative as you like interpreting the theme. And when Napoleon sees it, at first he lets it go. Then Gaby dares him to try it too.

And he does. And Illya catches him

And then it’s just what’s expected. Sometimes you’ll hear Napoleon yelling “Peril” in the distance, and a loud “Cowboy, NO–” And when you see them, it’s Illya holding Napoleon in his arms with Gaby on his back… or vice versa

So…

… I'm rewatching The Man from U.N.C.L.E. 2015, and I'm just thinking… I understand why it was for the pacing of the movie and all that, but I kinda wish we'd spent more time w/ Illya immediately after Gaby's apparent betrayal.

Bc a thing that hadn't hit me before just graced my mind on this rewatch… He had to know there was an actually fairly decent chance he was tracking a corpse. The film's technology jokes aside, it's unlikely, even if it was a listening bug, that he could hear from that distance. All he knew for sure was where Napoleon's shoes were, or even just what direction they were in. Maybe he could hear when he got closer, but for at least some of that trip, he must have considered the possibility that he was going to find a dead body when he got there. That Victoria was just as likely to outright kill him as she was to torture him

But he still went
