working out, drinking yummy smoothies, getting mani/pedis, getting your hair done, eating good food, shopping, facials, feet care, hair routine, skin care routine, baking cute sweets, shower routine, decluttering your space, buying new plushies, cuddling with your s/o all day, journaling, and doing your makeup just because are all forms of self care. doing whatever makes you happy is a form of self care.

smth i feel like a lot on non-black people with eds don't realize is how the beauty standard for black girls makes it harder for us to believe we really do have an ed. growing up jamaican, it's bad to be skinny but good to have a small waist but big breasts, butt, and thighs.
my ed started because i wanted a tiny waist. when i started finding other people with eds, they called me fake because i wanted to keep my wide hips and it made me feel like i was lying bc i didn't want to be >90 lbs. i struggle with this even now.
please understand that an ed is not, and never has been, just wanting to be skinny. do not doubt us because we don't want to look how you want to look. if we are suffering together, do not make it harder on us due to your own ignorance.
