Trying to work down here!

Hey everyone, just popping in to say hello! I know its been awhile since I have been on here. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and kicking and thank everyone that sent messages, sorry it took so long to get back to most of you.

I ran across this photo that was taken a couple of years ago and thought it was kind of cute. It was one of the last times I have been able to “glam up”, something I would love to get back to someday. I really felt pretty that day and I can’t remember being happier than I was then!

Oh, I believe it was squirrels that were frolicking up on my roof, they were making quite the racket :)

Today’s look back is of a cute outfit perfect for the office, oh how I wish I could dress like this to head off to work. My makeup certainly wasn’t anything special that day, but I sure felt good and had a lot of fun!

I really love this outfit! It has one of my most favorite tops and a short black skirt that pairs nicely with my over the knee boots. I was so excited when I got these boots I immediately had to take some photos!

It has been quite some time since I have been able to get new content and probably will be awhile longer before I am able to do any “full glam” photos. I am hoping to be able to do some shots like this soon though, so keep an eye out :)

Throwback Thursday

I wrote this about 2 1/2 years ago, but is still relevant today!

This past week marked one year since I purchased the first femme clothing for myself. Since that first package arrived at my door, I believe there has only been a single day that I have not worn something girly around the house. It’s usually nothing more than pj bottoms and a feminine t-shirt or top, but it makes my whole world feel right when I put them on.

As with any anniversary, inevitably thoughts turn to the past and what led up to this point. Below is a small sample of some of the things I have learned during this year.

I am a shopaholic

I truly am, my closet is overflowing. I am still learning what works on me, some of the items do and the others I am sure I can find something to go with them to make the perfect outfit!

Sizes are just someone’s random half assed guess

Seriously, I am sure there will be some in depth investigative reporting soon to confirm this.

If it looks good on the ultra petite anorexic teenage model, it’s probably not for you

I know it’s cute and even a bit baggy on her, but you’re still probably going to have to stretch it out of shape to get it over your head and the hem won’t cover your belly button.

Self checkout is better than sliced bread

I know people say that no one really cares what you are buying, well they must be shopping in different stores than I am. I also shop the local discount store early in the morning. Although there are plenty of bored employees stocking shelves at that time watching your every move, the odds are greatly reduced that your ex sister-in-law’s best friend will come around the corner of the cosmetic aisle just as you are grabbing your favorite brand of mascara. She knows for a fact that you have no one in your life to be picking this up for. And she has a big mouth.

Makeup is the ultimate game changer

One of the hardest things to learn yet can make the biggest impact on your appearance. Even subtle changes with your makeup can change your looks from “chic princess” to “psychedelic clown turned crack whore”.

Nail polish is liquid happiness

When first coming out, Caitlyn Jenner was asked what she most looked forward to as a woman. She was widely criticized when her answer was nail polish, but I get it. Nothing can lift my spirits more!

Pantyhose is designed to only run when you are making that last tug to confine everything in the control top

I love wearing hosiery but sometimes getting pantyhose on can be a challenge. And why is it when you do get everything situated just right, it is at that moment you realize you need to pee?

Having smoothly shaven and moisturized legs is the best feeling in the world… for about 24 hours

If I stopped all this tomorrow, I don’t think I could ever go back to hairy legs. But that prickly sensation and bumps in certain areas is definitely a turn off. I have tried every trick and product I can find, but still have problems. It is getting better, I don’t know if it is what I am doing or my skin becoming accustomed to shaving.

These are just a few of the things I have learned along the way. I don’t know where this journey will lead me, but I do know I have never been happier. Countdown to T-Day... Day 1

Well here we are, the last day before Tumblr imposes it’s ban. We are going to end the countdown with the post that is far and away the fan favorite. I have always said that I am doing this for myself (and I am) but it wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable without all of you.

The love and support I have received on here has been beyond my wildest dreams and has touched me deeply. I am truly grateful for each of you that have taken time out of your busy day to like, reblog or comment on my posts.

To all my dear followers that will not be here tomorrow, I wish you well and hope you find a place you enjoy. A place that gives you the same satisfaction that this blog has given me. I will remain here, at least for awhile, so please do come back for a visit. Thank you all :)

Countdown to T-Day... Day 2

Counting down the days until Tumblr shoots itself in the foot, and doing so with a favorite photo of mine each day. While this photo made it past the censors the first time, what are the odds it will again?

I love black and white photos and I love these lace tights. The combination of the two along with being a fun and flirty shot makes it truly one of my favorites!

Countdown to T-Day... Day 3

Only three more viewing days until Tumblr decides what you can and cannot see. Actually my blog shouldn’t have much problem, with the exception of the too numerous mis-flagged posts.

This photo is the very first one I posted without cropping off my head. I was as nervous as I can ever remember clicking that button to send it out into the interweb, only to be met with love and acceptance. From this point on my confidence began to grow and my blog began to flourish as well. For that, this photo will always have a special place in my heart.

Countdown to T-day... Day 4

Only a few days remaining until the big change, Tumblr has been great to me and I am hard pressed to find another platform that is a good fit. I will stick around here but know that it will not be the same.

Another outfit here that is perfect for a night out clubbing. I love the short skirt, the leopard print top and the seductive over the shoulder glance :)

Countdown to T-Day... Day 5

This certainly has been fun counting down the days with a favorite photo of mine this past week. I’m afraid that I am going to run out of days before I run out of favorites though!

Not sure exactly what it is about this photo that I love, perhaps it is the lighting, color and composition. Maybe it is that the younger girl me would have loved to wear bejewelled butterflies on her butt. Or perhaps it is the slight visible panty line (VPL). Most women go to great lengths to avoid VPL but it makes me smile when I see a hint of it here.

Whatever it is, this is the real me, the me that you could see puttering around the house on my days off and evenings. The me that makes me happy.

Countdown to T-Day... Day 6

So I am beginning to see early effects of T-Day, the number of followers to my blog have been slowly but steadily declining over the past few days. I’m sure that will only get worse throughout the next week.

I had been dressing for about one year when this photo was taken. Since that time I have learned so much and happily do so every time I “glam up”, which unfortunately has not been much this year. This is one of the first photos that I didn’t crop my head off as I was really beginning to gain some confidence in myself, finally seeing the person inside me come to life. For that this photo will always be special to me.

Countdown to T-Day... Day 7

Officially one week away now, I hope you are enjoying my trip down memory lane. A lot of people have been asking if I am staying and the answer is yes, at least in the short term. I have no problem with moving to a new site, just not sure where I would go. My dear Tumblr followers have been so good to me, I hate to see it all go away. If I do decide to move elsewhere I will be sure to post it here (if it doesn’t get flagged, lol).

Countdown to T-Day... Day 8

With December 17th just around the corner I am taking the opportunity to revisit some of my favorite photos. Today’s edition is a really fun outfit, a super tight and cheap short skirt paired with a simple black top and a cheap chain belt.

I feel this outfit really suits me well and probably would be my first choice if I were to go out clubbing. I wonder what it would look like with my over the knee boots, but then again I do love these super shiny stripper shoes!
