How to Spot SWERF Rhetoric!
Here are a couple of infographics (with alt text) on how to spot SWERF rhetoric, to help you realize when you're seeing anti sex worker propaganda on Tumblr.
SWERF rhetoric can spread outside of radical feminist circles themselves, so think about the framing when you see a post about sex work. Is the person talking about supporting sex workers and respecting their autonomy, or are they exclusively speaking about sex work as a bad thing and insisting we must all stop?

i'm so pro-divorce that i forget myself sometimes. a guy on the elevator was telling me unprompted about how he got divorced on friday and apparently "nice congrats" was not the correct reaction

i've already seen sinners in the cinema twice (with plans to go at least one more time), and i know it's been said many times before me, but it is one of the most important films in modern cinema history to watch when it comes to understanding black history in america; black pain, black culture, black love, and most importantly black healing.
remmick is the perfect representation of black and irish solidarity, and how that was quickly corrupted by how the descendants of irish immigrants turned their backs on that solidarity in order to become white.
i have so many thoughts that i can't put in one single post, but please go watch it if you haven't already.

The portrayal of white people who have been violently separated from their own culture stealing the power of black culture and music to try to get reconnected was SO literal and somehow not at ALL heavy-handed or trite. Fkn remarkable.

Hey, I saw the post of your journalling running some emotional self-diagnostics. I've been frozen on my journalling for 5+ months now subseqeuent to some unprecedented emotions and am really interested in what you're doing here. Can you describe this process a little more?
oh yeah! so I wanna preface this with the fact that I spent 3 years getting the VITA sex, love, and relationship coaching certification (it's supposed to only take 1 year but life happens), and a lot of the way I process emotions now comes from that background. the journaling page I posted in particular is definitely playing with that methodology, which is heavily based in parts-work and the general idea that every emotion you experience has a consciousness, and it's own needs and desires.
so whenever I have some particularly sticky emotions I just start with curiosity. "what does this emotion want? what does it need? what is it trying to achieve?"
once I have answered that question, then i move onto "where did it learn this?", i.e. what is the narrative I am upholding by seeking this goal? at this point it's typically really important to lean into the "radical acceptance" mindset, allowing these narratives to unfold without judgement.
then, after the acceptance, I ask myself whether that particular narrative is something I want to continue upholding. I ask myself if it is something that aligns with my greater truths. usually, if it's a particularly sticky emotion, the answer is no. sometimes it is a yes, but usually it is something that I was taught at a young age that I fundamentally disagree with. at this point the emotion has typically taken on a persona or personality at this point, and this process is more of a dialogue.
I then enter into a dialogue with the emotion to find a new angle of fulfilling it's needs and desires, while also aligning more strongly with my inner truths. this is a process that is pretty unique to each individual emotion and narrative, so it's hard to really describe in text, but sometimes it's better to do this part as a somatic release than it is to do as a journal prompt.
for me, journalling is just part of the process. it stands in for the talking portion I would typically walk a client through in a session, that way I can use my knowledge on myself.
I hope this is helpful, and good luck untangling these unprecedented emotions! it can be really hard to work through on your own, so I hope you're able to find some ease 馃挄
