Define "had sex" in whatever way seems fitting to you. We assume most people don't know the exact number; just make your best estimate.

i loosely followed thedimelions’s tutorial for naturally dyeing a pride flag, with a lot of added research about natural dyes, stains, mordants, sewing, etc, and i wanted to share my results!!

process, notes, and more pics under the read more🌱
starting off i soaked my fabric (100% cotton acquired from joann's during their closing sale, rip joann's ;-;) in a 1:5 mixture of soy milk and water for 12 hours, then let dry on a clothesline in the sun, then dipped and dried two more times (the proteins in the soy milk help the natural dyes adhere to the fabric, creating darker colors and better colorfastness)

while that was happening i started making my dyes, which involved simmering my chosen dyestuffs in some water for 30-60 minutes. i didnt time it, just went until the color developed to a point i was happy with

as far as ratios i didn’t measure, but the more dyestuff = stronger color so err on the side of more
red: turmeric + baking soda, paprika, and yellow onion skin dye as the liquid base
orange: yellow onion skins
yellow: turmeric
green: red cabbage + baking powder (LOTS), turmeric
blue: red cabbage + baking powder
purple: red cabbage
for the red cabbage dyes, i added the baking powders and soda after simmering and just kept adding and stirring till i got the color i wanted. ((BIG NOTE red cabbage, and debatably most of the others that I used, are fugitive dyes, meaning its not a true dye and more of a stain that will fade with time and wash out more easily, especially without mordanting on additives like iron. keep this in mind if you end up doing this project or transfering these methods to cloth you will be using for clothes, ie washing and wearing more frequently))
i also tried to make a pink with avocado skins and pits, which did come out a lovely rosy color, but i didn’t end up using in the final flag, which i might use beet or red cabbage + lemon juice or another acidified for next time to get a more bright pink

now with my dyes ready and my cloth dried out from its previous soy milk dip i cut it into strips and stuck it in the jars, which were placed in the sun for the day (alternatively, you could simmer the cloth in the pot) and then left to sit overnight
the next day i squeezed out the excess dye and gave the ones with turmeric a light rinse to get the grit out, then hung them to dry
((small note i reused the dyes baths to see what would happen since they still looked just as pigmented, but the colors are much much much more faded on the second go around. all in all its doable, but I wouldn't recommend it.))

now time to sew! i procured a second hand sewing machine specifically for this project and had never sewed before, but thankfully this required the easiest stitch in the game (a straight stitch in a straight line). i looked up how to sew a flag specifically to get those clean lines rather than just overlapping, and this video was great (shoutout Suffolk Public Library)

as you can see my flag ended up quite long cause I left a lot of wiggle room, so I just look up flag ratios, trimmed it up (and used the extra strip of rainbow as decoration) then added a white strip folded over to make a way for me to hang it on a stick if I ever so desire.

and ta daaa! i would still like to clean it up a bit, and do a zig zag stitch around the outside to stop the cloth from fraying further, but im happy with the unpolished look of it. once i figure out how to get a pink I like, and how to get browns and blacks, i want to make a progress flag and trans flag. also just started growing some indigo, so excited to see if I can get some blue dyes out of that.
#what a lovely project!#op if you want really neat clean sewn lines iron your fabric before hand#makes a huge difference#just because you mentioned wanting very clean lines

i have a genuine question, and sorry if youve already answered something like this, why cant one transition to be intersex? its just not clicking for me that its okay to transition to a different perisex "archetype"(for lack if a better word, like primary and secondary sex characteristics) but not intersex? im more asking in a medical transition sense, not to exclude those who dont pursue medical transition, but more to focus on "what if i want to have primary and secondary sex characteristics that are more typical of an intersex variation than that of a perisex one" if that makes sense (-_-;)
Intersex doesn't refer to a body type you currently have, that term would be sex variant, which just refers to anyone outside the sex binary for any reason, including HRT/surgery. Intersex refers to individuals having been born physically, observably* sex variant; outside of what is typically considered male or female, as in, not having TSDP. Even if you are transgender and transitioning, your physical body experienced TSDP or would have experienced TSDP in the absence of voluntary medical intervention. Ours do not. That is the difference.
*(including through further testing such as blood work, x-ray or karyotyping, not all intersexuality is visible to the naked eye)
Intersex people who have had their intersex traits forcibly removed and "look perisex" are STILL intersex because they were born outside the binary. That IS am important distinction, our bodies, lives, needs, and social issues are in fact different from that of sex variant perisex people even if we can be similar in some ways.
Suggesting that transition can make a perisex person intersex also implies that medical abuse makes an intersex person perisex. There is no "trans intersex" because there is no "cis intersex" because intersex isn't a gender it is a descriptor for how your body naturally develops.

btw it is sexy and cool to uplift and admire people who have skills you wish you had without using their ability as a stick to beat yourself with. even and especially if you are jealous of them.

So apparently Tumblr ate my original post about this but:
A couple weeks ago I’m going to get lunch and as I open the fridge, my mother attempts to communicate to me that any chicken currently in the fridge is ok for people to eat, because the chicken that was intended for the dog to eat has been used up.
What she actually says is, “That’s human chicken.”
After taking a minute to process all horrible implications of the phrase “human chicken”, I decide to go a different route and hold the tupperware of chicken out to my sister, saying, “Behold, a man!”
This was evidently the wrong choice, as it meant I had to explain to my parents who Diogenes was, thereby cementing the incident in their minds and leading to me, just now, opening the fridge to see the following incredibly cursed image:

been toying with the concept of vampirism as like, needing something that you inherently can't provide for yourself. vampirism as dependency- especially in cases of vampires who refuse to (or straightup *cannot* for whatever reason) feed on anyone without consent, who must rely on blood freely given by living humans.
an independent young adult, so eager to move out on her own and see the world by herself, is turned into a vampire. her human parents are willing to feed her, but now she'll be dependent on them. she can't move away, can't stray too far from the family farm by herself, because she can't be too far from her source of blood for too long. she's afraid of what will happen when her parents are too old to give blood to her, if she'll be able to find someone else to depend on. she'll outlive them all eventually, if she's not left to starve.
a sociable vampire with a wide network of human friends who are willing to offer up their blood to her. they're happy to help her, but she still feels like a monster for having to take their blood all the time. she tries to take as little as possible while they beg her please take more, we hate seeing you so hungry all the time, please let us help.
a vampire trapped in an abusive marriage because he relies on his wife for blood. if he leaves her without an alternate support system to feed him, he'd starve. she isolated him from all his other loved ones who might've been willing to feed him years ago. she holds the fact that she gives him her blood over his head anytime he tries to defend himself.

So like, it's obvious to me reading the comments on my post that anti-porn people are largely like, afraid of porn. Like the concept of a sex video is really spooky to them. They're not making thoughtful critiques of the porn industry, which is genuinely a really fucked up industry, they're mostly just spooked by the concept of a sex video and what it could Do To You If You See It.
I said this in another post, but it's like, the difference between "a ton of coffee is produced using slave labor" (valid, important criticism of the coffee industry) and "coffee turns people into raving coffee addicts who forget how to interact with anyone because they're so obsessed with their coffee" (objectively not true, insane viewpoint).
It's literally just sex videos. They really cannot hurt you.

it's interesting to me how sex workers are not considered an important part of pride history & the lgbt+ community unless the sex worker aspect of their identity is completely erased, and at the same time, every single pride, i see posts go around reminding people that leather daddies & ungendered kinksters should be credited and celebrated for protecting & cultivating pride as we knew it before it became the sanitized corporate holiday that it is today.
marsha p. johnson was a sex worker. sylvia rivera was a sex worker. brenda howard (who organized the first pride parade) was a sex worker. why can we only address the sanitization of pride when it comes to men's sex lives? why can't we talk about how working class women in the sex trade are continually ostracized from & caricatured by the community we helped create?
#also some of yall act like sec work doesnt exist anymore like it isnt still an important economic factor for ppl in ur queer community#<@prev ypure so right

My manager is sick.
Most of the staff regards my masking and insistence on social distance if I’m unmasked with amused tolerance, but my manager is one of the most flippant about it.
So I heard he had called out for two days. I texted another coworker asking if the manager was in and got told yes. I assumed he must be feeling better but determined that I’d wear my mask all day instead of unmasking when I was distanced from him just to be safe.
When I got in it was worse than I thought. First off, no mask. I wondered if he felt that much better when I heard very active coughing and sneezing. I rounded on him and asked why he wasn’t masking. He mopily got one for my sake despite the fact that he’d been in the store with Tyler who he evidently didn’t think was worth protecting.
After only a few minutes it was painfully obvious that he needed to go home.
So I started browbeating him into leaving, threatening to tattle to the district manager and his girlfriend that he looked like shit. He pouted and said he wanted to be at work and I countered that no customer would possibly want to work with him. I added that if I came in looking as shitty as he did I hoped he’d send me home and recognize I shouldn’t be at work. This was reluctantly conceded.
He then grumbled that I personally didn’t want to get sick. Which like, yes??
But I was like, look, you are doing yourself a disservice by not resting, a customer by not providing a full positive experience, and the team by risking their health, so go home.
As a sop to his pride he compromised that he’d stay another hour. When a guest walked up to the door, he was supposed to be the one to help them but he looked at me and I violently shook my head and signaled to Tyler. My manager nodded sadly in acceptance and went to sanitize his work station.
After he left Tyler thanked me for being so assertive. When I relayed the events to my wife they proudly said, “You’re so good at bullying men.” It’s true. I should put it on my resume. But it says something that it’s almost exclusively used when they need to take basic care of themselves.
