Good News and Bad News
I now know what I want to do with this series. It will have 6 books:
5: Where There's Smoke (in slow progress)
6: 13 Embers
The bad news is that I am being consumed by my obsession.
The good news is that I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Looking for Villains for Book V:
Where There's Smoke
Rules:
Not included in Transformers: Prime
Not reformed, or "reformed" in The Prime of His Youth. They'll already be included.
Insects are Insecticons. Insecticons come in swarms, typically around an Elder. The Elder is the only one that can adopt a Robot Form. You need Megatron to get multiple Elders to work too closely together.
Dinobots are the only Dinosaurs.
Femmes are either two wheelers, or something else with a sleek frame.
Other animals are Forged, the experiments of Shockwave, and not true Beastformers.
Titans are lost to the mists of history. Maybe bring one back for an epic finale.

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch41: Disbelief
Arcee stepped out. Japheth shyly behind her, eyes downcast.
"Japbeth?" Miko asked, and he didn't show any recognition.
"Jack." Arcee simply uttered.
"What?" Miko asked.
"Remember what happened... last time?" Arcee asked her.
"Can you refresh my memory?" Miko asked.
"She wasn't there to see it in person." Bulkhead stated. "I guess we should do everything we can to not spook him."
"Let me handle the reveals." Arcee said with finality, "He told us what to do. First, let's meet up with the others." Japheth raised his head to look around the gaping chasm, but it was too dark to see anything but the path in front of him. Arcee wrapped her hands around his right hand, and looked him in the eyes. "I promise I'll explain everything, but for now we have to get some place safe."
Japheth pulled her hands up to hold her in place. His left hand craddled her head and leaned down to give her a quick but passionate kiss before letting her go, "You're the boss."
"Oh, you have no idea." she sardonically stated. Something then occured to her, "Can you transform?"
"Your alt. form is like wicked cool." Miko simply stated. He looked at her, half in recognition, and half as if looking at a stranger.
"I promise to explain everything." Arcee stated, "Later."
"Of course." he said, and transformed so quickly that he surprised himself. He raised his turret, and then paused mid-rise as he realized he had a turret.
"Everyone here's a friend." Arcee stated.
"Far more than that." Victoria's deep contralto added.
"Wheeljack and Bulkhead up front." Arcee stated.
"Dude?" an offended Miko asked.
"You wanted to be an attack helicopter." Arcee admonished her.
"Yeah... yeah..." she said.
Victoria broke up.
"Do we have the rear?" Pyra Magna asked, and Arcee nodded.
"What about me and the new kid?" Seaspray asked, and turned to look at Phantom Rider. The light from Phantom Riders were barely visible, but enough to show a returned glare.
"You're Wreckers." Arcee stated, "One thing Japheth has taught me is that the only thing we can do with Wreckers is point them in the right direction."
"And, if we find the wrong direction?" Seaspray asked, and Arcee rolled her eyes.
"Roll out." she sardonically said.
* * *
Wheeljack and Bulkhead lead the convoy. Pyra Magna, and the other land-based Rust Maidens behind him. In the middle were the others, with the helicopters flying overhead.
* * *
The convoy approached the checkpoint, with Moondancer quickly jumping down from her vantage point.
Twinsrike paced in front of the convoy as it slowed to a stop. They transformed, with Japheth nervously walking through the crowd to the Predacon.
"He's..." Miko tried to say.
"His spark has changed?" Twinstrike's right head asked.
"But not corrupted?" the left head added. "Curious."
"Jack, this is Twinstrike." Arcee stated.
"You recruited him." Miko added.
"Agreed to work together." Wheeljack added.
"What?" Twinstrike's right head asked.
"Has happened?" the left added.
"He lost his memory." Arcee said to them. "Can you two watch behind us?" she asked.
"I suppose." the left head uttered, and his draconic body walked passed them.
"Wreckers, the front?" Arcee asked.
"yeah-yeah." Wheeljack uttered, as the Wreckers all walked to the front.
"Alright, everyone that is Jack's concubine, raise your hand." Arcee said, as she raised her hand.
Japheth stood, stunned, as every Femme in the middle, other than Carron and Airachnid raised their hands. "I've been busy, haven't it?" Japehth asked, and then something occured to him, and he glared at Arcee.
"Guilty." she said, a bit of pride in her voice.
Japheth eyed Carron, who gave him and uncertain look in reply. He then looked over to the pink helicopter, and the angles of her features seemed so familiar, and frightening.
"That is..." Arcee said. She wanted to say she could be trusted, but honestly didn't think she could. "I'll tell you later. Right now we'll head back to... your... command centre."
"M?.." Japheth asked.
Arcee "tsk"ed. "I'll tell you when you get there. Maybe. I will tell you eventually. Maybe when we're safe on your ship.
"My?.." Japheth asked.
Arcee said, and gave then gave him a loving look in his eyes, "You are far more amazing than you could ever know."
* * *
Arcee was the first to walk into the command centre. Japheth was right behind his sparkmate, with all of the others flooding in after. Arcee turned around, "Now that we're... relatively safe." she said, addressing the crowd, "It's time for introductions. Let's start with the Rust Maidens, which can combine into Victoria, Your Wrath." she said to Japheth.
"My... my wrath?" he asked, "I have a wrath? Why do I have a wrath?"
"It happened when you beat Airachnid." Wheeljack stated. He looked at Airachnid out of the corner of his eyes just to see her squirm.
"I... I?.. I beat Airachnid?" Japheth asked.
"Well, Arcee was there to help you." Miko said, "It was pretty wicked."
"And you?" Japheth asked.
"The Wreckers were brought in for cleanup." Moonracer deliciously said, and eyed Wheeljack.
"Very funny." he uttered in reply.
"I am Pyra Magna, leader of the Rust Maidens, and honoured to be your arm, and concubine."
"Dust Up." Dust Up stated.
"Oh, Jumpstream." she added, "And life isn't the same since you took us in."
"Took... you in?.." Japheth asked.
"Technically, it's their ship." Miko added.
"Technically, we gave it to you. Rust Dust." she stated.
"Our honour." Skyburst staed.
"And pleasure." Stormclash added.
"Next we'll go through the Wreckers. You already know Bulkhead and Wheeljack. Next we have Moonracer and Seaspray. The new recruit, Phantom Rider." she said, and Phantom Rider subtly glared at her. "And last, but not least, Miko."
"M... M... MIKO?!" Japheth asked.
"Spend a little time with your sparkmate, and what, you forget about me?" Miko asked him.
"It would be... utterly impossible to forget about you." Japheth stated, "Do you know how many times I risked my life to try and save you.
"Yeah, well, now I'm a Wrecker." Miko sardonically stated.
"How did you?.." Japheth asked.
"You might want to look into a mirror." Miko said, as she shifted her weight. "Also, there's your mom. And Raf."
"Next we have what you just call Your squadron." Arcee said to Japheth. "You. Me, obviously. Siren, who you couldn't live without." Japheth turned to look at Siren, and gave her a beckoning smile. "You also have Arcelia, archivist. You called Your..." Arcee paused, and looked at Arcelia.
"Procurator." she beamed. She reached her hand out, and he shook it, "Pleasure to meet you, Jack Darby." He gave her a look that wanted to be warm and welcoming, but was instead apprehensive. "If you have any doubt about my commitment, I will need to remind you that I pledged to you for an entire Cyberronian lifetime." He gave her a questioning look, "I had already pledged you a Human lifetime. When you..." she said, and gestured to him, "you let us rethink it."
"Us?" Japheth asked, and looked at Sirenia. She gave him a nervous smile in reply. He then looked back to Arcelia, when Roxana eagerly stepped forward.
"She's Your..." Arcee tried to say.
"Medic." Roxana eagerly added.
"Cheerleader." Arcee corrected. "Next we have your scouts, Carron, and Airachnid." Japheth slowly turned to look at her, as if it were a horrifying abomination. "You're wondering if you can trust her."
"And?" Japheth asked Arcee, never taking his eyes off Airachnid."
"You're the one who said we can." Arcee sardonically added.
"I am?" Japheth asked, "But what do I know?"
"I don't know?" Arcee asked, "But Optimus must have seen something in you." She then turned to Twinstrike, "The large, scaled one is Twinstrike."
"Our honour." the left head said.
"And pleasure." the right added.
Japheth nervously looked at Arcee, who shook her head.
"The small, scaled one is a Headmaster, chief strategist here on Master."
"And, a Headmaster is?" Japheth asked. Zuo kneeled down. His head transfomed into a Micromaster.
They turned to look as the shadow formed above them, "And we are Warmachine." he uttered, "Forged by His Prime."
Japheth looked at Arcee, "His Prime?"
"Oh, it's obvious..." Miko tried to say.
"There will be time for that later." Arcee said.
"Yeah, sure, whatever." Miko dismissed.
"Once we're finished here, we'll head back to the surface to meet Smokescreen." Arcee said with a smile, "He's a Sergeant in the Elite Guard."
"Good for him." Japheth tently uttered. Arcee's smile turned wicked. "What?"
"You'll see." Arcee added.

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch40: Jack
The caverns started to get rounded, smoother, and eventually organic. Japheth stopped without looking back, everyone else stopping with him. He stared deeper into the deep earth, a palpable fear rising around him.
"Japheth!" Arcee pleaded, looking at him fearfully, looking at him with awe and horror. He could feel her eyes boring into him, along with the others around him. He slowly turned around, making the fear even greater.
He forced a smile. It angered the Wreckers, put sorrow into his squadron, as the Rust Maidens tried to deny what they were seeing. "I have a plan." he said, and the Rust Maidens fell to their knees, as their would was shattered.
"JACK!" Arcee exclaimed.
He forced a smile and looked at her. Despite being forced, it was so warm it eased her spark. "Do you think I would have a plan, if it wasn't necessary?"
"Having a plan." Skyburst barely spoke.
"Means he sees his own doom." Stormclash fearfully uttered.
"Doom is a strong word." Japheth said, easing the tension, even if by a tiny amount. "After, take me to Smokescreen. He'll know what to do. For the mean time, we are facing a portion of Unicron himself. As we thought, the altar on the other world was a warning. We've passed the Terrorcons. No bodies got this far, but that doesn't mean he will be defenceless."
"Golems." Pyra Magna asserted.
"Yes..." Japheth stated.
"Yes?" Dust Up curiously asked, Rust Dust looking in nervously.
"Ratchet called them antibodies." Arcee uttered, forcing all of the stoicism she could must, though, she admitted most of it was borrowed from Japheth. "They fly through the air... somehow... and it tries to get in range and attack us." She transformed her hands into her longshot blasters, "Watch every angle, attack at maximum range. Flyers, watch above."
"Moondancer, and a couple volunteers will guard the entrance." Japheth stated, and looked at the non-combatants. He then looked each and every combatant in the eyes, "I want no casualties." The mood slowly shifted from shock, through disbelief, until finally arriving at acceptance. "This isn't the first time a Prime has fought Unicron. We didn't have casualties the last time, either. And this time I have the Wreckers, as well as My Wrath." He paused to let this sink in. The Wreckers were energized, eager expressions appearing on their face. While Phantom Rider's face was mostly hidden behind his visor, Japheth could see more strength in his face than he had ever seen before.
"I'll guard the civilians." Zuo stated, "I am not as... unpredictable as your Wreckers. Maybe I have grown too old?.."
"And?" Twinstrike's right head asked.
"Ourself?" the left asked.
"I could use the company." Zuo said to him, "Two old souls together, while the young have fun?"
"Fun?" Arcee asked, while Miko giddly struck her hands together.
"I'm so excited, I think I'm going to have to use a Terran swear!" Wheeljack eagerly said, looking up at Japheth for permission. Japheth let out a momentary true smile and nodded, "Fuck, yeah!"
"Phantom Rider and I will keep the path to the entrance clear." Seaspray stated. He looked to Phantom Rider, whom he could almost swear was smiling.
Wheeljack punched his right hand into his left fist, "Me and Bulk get to jump right into the fight! I haven't felt this alive since the Battle of Darkmount Pass!"
"You did... avenge my death?" Seaspray asked.
"Well, yeah, but now it seems kind of silly seeing as you somehow managed to brush the rust off and move on like you always do." Wheeljack sardonically replied.
"Bulkhead's my fighting buddy?" Miko almost whined.
"Yeah, well, someone decided to pick attack helicopter as her alt. mode." Wheeljack sardonically said to her.
"Scrap." she voiced.
Japheth smiled with pride, "Stormclash and Skyburst also providing air cover." He then looked at Pyra Magna, who gave him an affirmative look, "I know I've said I can only ask what you can give, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to do it again. Just remember, I would risk my life with any one of you."
Miko glared at Airachnid, "Even her."
Japheth turned away, "Her spark is in the right place." He turned to walk down the corridor, "Now we'll just have to worry about her head." The twins jumped into a transformation, flying passed him. Miko did the same a moment later. "Get me to the centre. And then when I'm done."
"Get you back." Wheeljack stated.
"Didn't you hear him, Jackie?" Bulkhead asked
"We have to get him," Seapsray stated, "to the one who is both as shy as a novice, and a sergeant in the Elite Guard."
"You weren't even here!" Wheeljack eagerly said, turning to follow Japheth.
"Look, I tried my best." Seaspray jested, as he stepped up to join him, the Rust Maidens falling behind them. "But, I had a little bit of dying to do."
"The Prime is ours to protect." Jumpsteam eagerly said.
"That works for me just fine." Wheeljack eagerly, energetically replied.
"Ah, the energy of youth." Zuo said, as he watched them walk off. Japheth transformed, the others quickly doing the same behind him.
"We are as..." Twinstrike's left head stated.
"...the same as we have always been." the right uttered.
* * *
The round metal gate rolled open, and inside was like a small version of the body of Unicron that Arcee and Bulkhead had entered before. Arcee walked up beside Japheth, wrapping her arm around him, the two looking passed the threshold. "You see where you have to go?" she asked.
Bulkhead turned to Wheeljack, "Last time we had Megatron to show us the way."
"It feels like his - hatred - is boring into me." Japheth said, clutching his spark chambre.
"Just tell us when to go." a twitching Wheeljack uttered. Japheth looked back just enough to give him a curious look. "What?"
"You weren't sarcastic." Seaspray stated, "Not even a little bit. They're just not used to seeing you scared."
Japheth took one step forward, and the tension increased 100 fold. He leaned forward, and stepped through the threshold. The three helicopter Femmes ran passed and transformed to fly about. "Pyra?" Japheth asked, and she quickly ran up to him. He transformed, and she did with him. The two drove along the earthen bridge. Behind him Arcee marched, with Bulkhead and Wheeljack right behind her. Behind them was Dust Up, Jumpstream, and Rust Dust. Carron and Airachnid flittered above them.
* * *
Zephawind landed just outside the hangar, as the sound of moving, shambling earth could be heard. "You might want to, know?.." she asked, and looked upwards at where Raiden would stand.
"And, the ship?" Yukikaze asked, as they gathered around. The Skyfall's engines started to roar.
"Gella's taking care ofi it." Zephawind stated.
Raiden combined and stepped out of the hangar, watching as the earthen golems formed. His right hand transformed into a colossal cannon and his left into a colossal carronade. The first rush of golems was the size of a normal Cybertronian. He fired his carronade, and the blast exploded on contact, destroying half of the dozen golems shambling towards him. He fired again, destroying the rest. The ground rumbled as the golems started to reform. This time 8, each over 20ft tall. He fired his carronde, destroying 3. He fired twice more to eliminate the rest.
Again, the ground started to rumble and groan. The rumble turned into a shaking as a single golem arose, as tall as he was. Two shots from his cannon took it down. The ground started to shake more than it ever had before.
* * *
Stormclash and Skyburst were making strafing runs at any antibodies in the path. Any that got a little close were shot by Japheth's boltgun or Pyra Magna's stream blaster, as they drove along, Arcee right behind them.. Miko and Airachnid floated above them, attacking anything else in that general direction with auto-blaster fire.
The others were falling further and further behind, as they would have to periodically pause to fight. But this only served to seperate the antibodies into two groups, tying up half of their fighting numbers. The flying numbers made their way, zigzagging along the earthern bridges that criss-crossed the colossal chambre. The sound of blaster fire and hand-to-hand combat could be heard from below them.
Japheth pulled ahead to the final chambre, Arcee right behind him. Pyra Magna slowed down, and transformed. Her right hand was a cannon, which she used to stave off the coming waves. Jumpstream, Dust Up, and Rust Dust quickly drove towards them, and with the twins combined into Victoria. Her colossal sword started cleaving any antibody that got too close, with Miko and Airachnid circling above to provide orbiting air support. Carron landed behind Japheth and Arcee as they walked into the chambre.
The door closed behind them, and they stepped out over a lake of Dark Energon. "So?.." Arcee asked him. "You... have a plan?"
Japheth stepped forward and opened his chest plate, revealing ark of the matrix. "To light our darkest hour." he said, as the matrix's ark opened up. He reached inside to grab the matrix, and pulled it apart. A brilliant light filled the chambre. The Dark Energon seemed to flash boil, without any energy that this would create. It simply evaporated into nothingness in front of them as Japheth collapsed forward.
* * *
Japheth awoke on the ground, looking up at Arcee above him. He was momentarily lost in her beauty. Her look was distraught, and he reached up towards her, never expecting to reach. His arm was purple, and hand black, from his exosuit, of course. His arm reach up, further, and further, and it could craddle the side of her face, something he never even got close to doing, even in Dollform. He looked surprised, confused, and the only thing she wanted to do was console him. She leaned down to kiss him with all of her passion and love. She pulled away, and they stared into each other's eyes. "I never want this dream to end."
"Dream?" Arcee asked, and leaned back onto her knees. "Let's get you on your feet." she said, and held out her arms. He let her take his right hand and help him to his feet. And the impossible happened, he stood taller than her. "What's the last thing you rememeber - Jack?" she uncertainly asked.
"We were on Caminus, we were going to talk to the Mistress of Flame. What happened."
"A lot." she simply stated, "But the most important thing is getting you back to the ship." She paused for a moment, "Just remember, a few more Femmes love you."
Japheth sighed, "I don't know why you..."
"They are your concubines." Arcee said with a bright smile. "I don't expect you to jump right in bed with them, you will at least need to hug them. Maybe cuddle them. Headpats are probably mandatory. Oh, and um... yeah... before you see her, you recruited Airachnid."
"I... WHAT?!" Japheth asked. "HOW?! WHY?!"
"Only you know the answer to that." Arcee stated.
"I doubt I know." he simply stated.
"The most important thing is that you did." Arcee stated.
"I... Arcee?.." Japheth increduously aksed.
She just shrugged. You need to take it easy

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch39: Rogue Heart
Smokescreen peered around the corner and saw two Headmasters. The Headmasters slowly twitched slightly and slowly, jaggedly looked towards him. The arms slowly, jaggedly moved, and he pulled back the moment he realized they were pointing their blasters at him. He quickly pulled back around the corner. He looked at his elite guard. "I'll distract them. Remember, Energon shots to the Transtector. Do not hit the head." He looked between their eyes, and they all understood. He ran down the corridor, and turned his Phase Shifter on, slipping through the wall.
Smokescreen slipped into an empty room and doubled back. He ran along the wall. When he got to the other end, he faced the wall and slipped through. He turned off the Phase Shifter and transformed his right hand into a blaster. Craddled in his left, he started shooting at their bodies. Slowly the Headmasters twitched towards him, taking shots to their body. Once they were almost there he shouted, "Go."
All of the Elite Guard other than Golden Hind appeared around the corner, and opened fire. The high volume of blaster fire caused the Headmasters to list over. Eventually the heads fell off, only to be caught by Smokescreen. "Cinderstream, the Micromasters. Landslide and Moose Runner the Transtectors."
* * *
The Micromasters slowly opened their eyes, groggy, slowly looking about.
"Good to see you awake." Knockout stated, "I'll be your doctor." One of the Micromasters groaned, followed by the other. "Now, care to tell me what happened?"
"It was like the Energon in my blood was controlling me."
"That's not like how the others describe it." Ratchet said, and the two Micromasters turned to look at him. As they did, they saw the other Micromasters. They were moving slowly, but fluidly; fatigued, but not being yanked about like puppets. One looked at Ratchet, while the other looked at Knockout. "The short version is that it's over."
"At least for you." Knockout stated.
"The Elite Guard is seeing to the others." Ratchet stated.
"And we have tall, dark, and awe-inspiring to watch over us." Knockout gleefully added, and then calmed himself down, "Sorry. You are still recovering."
The two Micromasters slowly started to sit upright, still looking around with awe. Then they felt something on their left arms, and looked over, seeing the Energon infusers.
"We were bleeding out?" one of them asked, and then looked over his body, and then the one of his compatriot.
"Not so lucky." Knockout stated, "It will take a bit to explain, so we'll do it as soon as you want it."
"I..." the other stated, and then paused to groan, "want..." *groan* "know..."
"Dark Energon is the blood of Unicron." Ratchet stated, "Who I'm afraid is very real, despite my hopes to the contrary. The Dark Energon has seeped into every part of Master. Including all of you."
"We're not sure what got his jollies in a knot," Knockout stated, and the heads slowly shifted to him, "probably to do with that tall, gorgeous, purple guy, but whatever it is, when he really wants to, he can control you. Lucky for you, we know the cure." They let out a questioning groan, "Energon." They gave him a disbelieving look.
"It takes a LOT of Energon to counteract even a small amount of Dark Energon." Ratchet voiced, "And I'm guessing you've never bothered flushing everyone with Energon. If we weren't doing it to cure you, it would be wasting your Energon reserves."
"But lucky for you, you have us to snap you out of it." Knockout excitedly stated.
"And lucky for you, we have previous experience with this." Ratchet stated, "But, if it's any comfort, it's far less dangerous here than it was last time." The two Micromasters let out a sigh of relief.
* * *
The rear doors to the command centre opened up as Eurawind transformed into a landing. Her eyes focused on the only thing in the room, something that did not fit right for her. He stood taller than even a Prime, but far less than the Combiners. She gave him a curious look.
"I am Warmachine, crafted by His Prime." he said, as he stepped up. He then broke into the seven Micromasters.
"I am Rector." the leader said.
"I didn't know that minicons could combine?" Eurawind stated.
"His Prime found a way." Gaylord happily said.
"How can we help you?" Scatter asked.
"I have a message for His Prime, though, you should know as well." Eurawind stated. "Unicron seems to have greater control over the Headmasters than the average..." she trailed off as she gestured to the Micromasters. "Shots with Energon weapons to the Transtectors can disable them without injurying the minicon controlling them."
"Do you have to call us minicons?" Irelic angrily asked.
"Zephawind is the more diplomatic." Eurawind replied, "I was expecting to speak with His Prime."
"Let us let her get to it." Morpheus quietly said.
* * *
Zephawind transformed into a landing, looking before all three paths before her in turn. She followed the comm. ping. She looked left, before transforming, and flying down that path.
* * *
Zephawind heard and sensed the energy signature of blaster fire as she flew up. She transformed into a landing safely outside of the battle, to see what was happening. They were in a colossal chambre of worked stone, with a great, domed ceilling. There were various side paths, all with their own flurries of light shone from blaster fire.
In the middle was Japheth Prime, literally fighting back to back with Arcee. Japheth had his left hand transformed into a path blaster while his right was his chainsword. It took four shots from his path blaster to make a Transtector fall. He then stepped into the swarming Terrorcons while Arcee pummeled another stumbling Headmaster with her longshot blasters. Another Headmaster slowly, jaggedly aimed his blaster pistol at them, only to be momentarily stunned by a shot from Carron's carronade.
Japheth's left-handed reverted. He handed the chainsword over to his left hand and brought his right hand to his right ear. He opened a comm. channel to the Wreckers. "Wreckers. I'll need someone to carry some Micromasters back to the surface." He looked about for a moment, not sure what he expected. He looked back as Arcee dove forward with her arm blades, striking the shambling mini-Terrorcons. While she could easily knock them down with her arm blades and back with her kicks, she could barely crack their chestplates. Japheth turned towards her as the Headmaster Carron had shot was aiming towards him again. He passed his chainsword back to his right hand, transformed his left to a path blaster, and shot him. A few of his shots landed with those of Carron, and the head fell from the falling body. Arcee looked as the shambling horrors were nearly upon her, when a thin, clawed hand struck through one of their chest plates from behind. Arcee, stunned, looked over, to see Airachnid smiling wickedly at her. A moment later her other hand broke through another.
Arcee looked, stunned, as the shambling mini-Terrorcons swarmed her. Airachnid withdrew her hands, quickly moving to struck through another one. Japheth stepped in, his chainsword cutting cleanly through one, and then another, and then a third. Arcee snapped out of it and flipped up and over her sparkmate, landing behind him, watching his back. Japheth's chainsword cutting through a few more, as Airachnid pierced another one. The bodies were all on the ground, none leaking Energon, despite the wounds. Airachnid was proud, and then stunned, as the most unexpected thing happened: Japheth's hand was on her head, and gave her a gentle pet. He then turned back towards Arcee, as she and Carron were pummeling the Headmaster with their blasters. Japheth transformed his left hand into a path blaster again, and one shot added enough Energon to overflow the Transtector's buffers, and seperate the head from the collapsing body. The main cavern was suddenly silent. Light would randomly flash from the side passages, along with all and sundry sounds of battle.
He looked back to Siren, Arcelia, and Roxana, who now had Eurawind standing beside them. He waved them over. Eurawind stood stunned for a moment. The others had transformed. Eurawind transformed and flew passed them, transforming into a landing next to Japheth and Arcee. She wondered why Arcee was so nervous. Arcee looked back for a moment, and Eurawind followed her gaze to the now pink and white Airachnid. Arcee looked uncomfortable, confused, and even afraid as she looked back to Eurawind. Japheth looked at Eurawind, and then behind her, as the others transformed to step up beside her. Japheth turned to the stunned Micromasters, and then back at Roaxna. Roxana quickly transformed, with Arcelia doing the same right behind her. He then looked back to Eurawind. "Report." Japheth said to her.
"The Elite Guard wanted me to pass along what they learned about..." she trailed off, and looked at the fallen Micromasters.
"Help Roxana." Japheth said to her.
"I'm... I'm not a medic?.." Eurawind asked.
"I said help." Japheth firmly said, his tone broking no resistance, and Eurawind quickly stood to attention before she transformed to fly over.
Japheth then turned to look at Airachnid, Arcee turning to follow him. She saw a shocked look on Airachnid's face, and followed her gaze to a smiling Japheth. Airachnid quickly looked the other way.
"You can't hide how good his headpats are." Arcee admonished Airachnid. Airachnid gave her a deathly glare. "I was the first bot to get them." She said, and paused a moment, "While he was still Human." She turned and transformed to join the other Femmes. Airachnid was too shocked to move.
"Two things no one told you, one, I can read sparks. Something I've gotten better at, every moment I've been a Cybertornian. The other, I was a Human." He paused for a moment as he looked her deep in the eyes, "One you used to hunt." He turned to walk towards the Femmes. Airachnid was too stunned to react for a moment, before turning to slowly walk after him. Unable to make herself walk any faster. He stopped and turned towards her. He waited for her to catch up to him, when he held out his right hand, "Jack Darby, pleased to meet you." he said. She found herself reaching out to grab his hand simply as if she had been ordered to do so. Her will played no part in it, either way. "I don't have to be Jack Darby to know how horrifying you can be. And if I was just Jack Darby, I probably could not look passed it. But, luckily for you, I'm more than I used to be. Luckily for you, you are as well." He turned to continue walking away, leaving Airachnid completely stunned.
* * *
Seaspray blew in, with Phantom Rider rolling in right after him. Japheth gave them a curious look. "We drew the short straws." Seapspray said, and Japheth gave them a disbelieving look. He transformed, with Phantom Rider transforming right behind him. "Alright, Bulkhead wanted to make sure Miko doesn't go all Dinobot, while Jackie is spotting for Moonchild."
"That makes more sense." Arcee said. Seaspray caught Phantom Rider's head turn, and turned to follow his gaze. He saw Airachnid off in the distance, nervously looking away, while still watching with the corners of her eyes.
He looked back to Japheth, "What's with her?"
"Oh, she just learned who he is." Arcee said.
"Miko told me about the history between them." Seaspray continued, "Honestly, even with the Matrix of Leadership, it's hard to believe anyone could believe he'd actually try."
"Tsk." Arcee said, and Seaspray gave her an inquisitive look. "I hate to say it." Arcee said, and looked over to Airachnid. Seaspray resisted the desire to look over at her. Phantom Rider was going to look over, but stopped when he saw Seaspray's restraint, and looked back to Arcee, "I really hate to say it." she continued, "But, he succeded. She even got her first headpat."
"First?" Seaspray asked.
"First of many." Arcee stated, "Look, I haven't forgiven her. Honestly I don't think I ever will, or if I can, but..." she said, and lovingly looked to Japheth.
"Good." Seaspray said, and paused a moment as the others looked at him curiously, "I won't have to shoot her again."
Phantom Rider's eyes grew wide with surprise.
"Her spark has changed." Japheth stated. "But that means she's..." he said, and paused a moment to think it over, "Doesn't mean she won't backstab."
"Is she... safe?" Phantom Rider asked, eyes barely visible through his face mask.
"She'll backstab for us." Japheth said with a smile. He could barely see the worried look on Phantom Rider's face, "For us. Still working on that part."

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch38: Wrecker Plans
Zuo walked into the command centre, just behind Wheeljack. He looked about at all that had been collected, missing only a couple of the Rust Maidens, and a couple of Wreckers. His eyes focused on Warmachine. He then looked at Japheth, "Friend of yours?"
"Of yours, strategist." Warmachine stated, and broke into the seven Micromasters that made him. They stood and saluted.
Zuo then gave Japheth a curious, disbelieving look.
"He has that effect on people." Arcee simply stated.
"So, everyone is on the same page, Unicron... uh?.. manifested on the planet we visited. The altar was a warning, written by Alpha Trion in the script of the Primes."
"He could have told us sooner." Dust Up uttered.
"It's better that way." Jumpstream excitedly retorted.
"Time was... precious." Japheth stated.
"There will be time to tell us everything later." Arcelia neutrally stated, and then paused, stunned. He turned to look at her, but it seemed to be in slow motion. It took her a moment of nearly suspended time to realize what was happening, why she suddenly felt such fear. She realized it was the grim acceptance on his face, as if his fate was sealed. The air in the room felt palpable.
"When we landed," Japheth continued, trying to not acknowledge what had happened, though the tension and unease was thick and heady. "It seemed like every Micromaster in the city was being controlled by Unicron."
Arcee snapped out of her fugue to interject, "Alright, how? Why? The dead bodies infected with Dark Energon was one thing."
"The simple answer is that they have Dark Energon in their system." Japheth stated, "It takes a lot of Energon to remove even small amounts of Dark Energon."
"But?" Arcee asked.
"There is Dark Energon in the water." Arcelia stated.
"Riigghhtt." Arcee voiced. She thought it over for a second before her eyes widened with a start. She looked at Zuo, "And why aren't you affected?"
"Because I take extreme measures to prevent incidental absorbtion." Zuo stated, "The rest of the city just got used to it."
Arcee then looked at the miners.
"Hm?" Rector asked, "We're miners."
"So, you WERE afraid of Dark Energon?" Arcee asked.
"Ehn. Not really." Rector stated, "There is a lot of other things to worry about. Radioactive heavy metals. Minerals that are poisonous to Cybertronian biology."
"Let's hope Megatron never learns about..." Arcee said, and paused, "You know what? I honestly don't know. He surrendered, but?.."
"I'd say Shockwave is the one to worry about." Wheeljack said to her, and then turned to Japheth, "If Japheth didn't manage to put him on a leash."
"So, no Dark Energon, no control." Japheth simply stated.
"I... am afraid of the answer..." Zuo nervously said, but steeled himself to continue, "And, the others?"
"Huh?" Arcee dismissively asked, "Oh, yeah, you don't need to worry."
"How can I not worry!?" Zuo screamed at her, and Arcee did not know what to say.
"He doesn't have the faith we do." Pyra Magna uttered. She then looked Arcee, "Though, it might help if you gave a little bit of an explanation?"
"Oh, right." Arcee stated, and then turned back to Zuo. "The Elite Guard." Zuo gave her a look as if he was trying to find hope. "Smokescreen is young enough to think he can save everyone." Arcee stated. Zuo seemed to understand but disagree. "Right now, he can do it."
"I gave him the key to the ground bridge power supply." Japheth stated. His Femmes, the Rust Maidens, and a few Wreckers all dramatically looked at him, while the Micromaster and Twinstrike just looked confused. "Backup plan." he said dismissively, waving his hand. He then turned to Twinstrike, giving him a questioning look.
The two heads looked at each other before looking back to him, the left hand deferring to the right one, "We have found the best path."
"Then there's the small problem of holding the ground." Pyra Magna stated.
"We can hold the command centre." Rector stated.
"And the breach?" Japheth asked.
"We could..." Rust Dust tried to say, but saw the refusal on his face.
"He wants us together." Pyra Magna stated.
"I had the foresight to bring two Headmasters who are good students of mine." Zuo stated. "They can hold the breach for some time."
"Send them." Japheth simply stated. He then turned to the Minicons, "I will be counting on you."
"We won't let you down!" Scatter shouted.
"No, you won't." Japheth said with a smile.
* * *
A colossal osprey and secretary bird landed. Their cockpits opened up, with the Micromasters leaping out into a transformation. The transtectors transformed, as the Micromasters transformed in their heads. "I am Quillion, and this is Argyle. Japheth has ordered us to take over watch at the breach."
Miko gave them a disbelieving look.
"They don't look like zombies." Bulkhead said to defend them.
"Well, not zombie-zombies, more like possessed?" Miko asked.
"It's not like Japheth to actually order." Bulkhead uttered.
The two Headmaster's eyes grew wide with surprise, "I... suppose, he did ask?.." Argyle asked.
"And what does he want us to do?" Miko asked.
"Meet up?" Quillion asked.
"AAAaaan?" Miko asked.
"And?" Quillion replied.
"We honestly don't know." Argyle stated.
"That honestly sounds more like Japheth." Bulkhead stated.
"At the very least, you're not shambling horrors." Miko added.
Jumpstream and Dust Up quickly transformed and drove off.
"Have fun." Miko said, as she transformed. Bulkhead did the same.
* * *
Miko transformed into a landing in the command centre. As she stepped in, Jumpstream and Dust Up drove in and transformed. As they walked in, Bulkhead drove up and transformed.
"So, you going to tell us what the plan is?" Bulkhead asked.
"No." Japheth stated.
"That really the best you can do?" Wheeljack sardonically asked.
"Oh?" Japheth earnestly asked, "The best I can do? I honestly have no idea what we're going to find, or who we're up against. But, the best I can do? It seems pieces of Unicron fell to this world. Or to the primordial disk that became it. I'm sure the astronauts could explain it a lot better. ANYWAYS, the short answer is Unicorn, or a piece of him, or a lot of his blood. He already visited us on the other world, and the moment we come back, he's using anyone with a bit of Dark Energon in their blood as puppets. Luckily for us, there are only Terrorcons this deep. That said, for anyone that wasn't there, Unicorn was a pussy."
"You serious?" Miko asked.
"None of them were close to the size we saw when we fought him on Terra." Arcee stated.
"But, his presence here might be stronger. Once he realizes his puppets aren't working." Japheth voiced.
"Aaaaand... when?" Rust Dust quickly asked.
"Probably when he runs out." Arcee stated, "He doesn't think much of anyone... honestly, anyone who's not him. On... in... the Earth, he was aware of us right away. But, we honestly don't know if and when he will here. They had anti-bodies, though."
"Antibodies, Terrorcons, Puppets, and Golems." Japheth stated.
"Golems?" Wheeljack asked, "Exactly what is that?"
"They kind of act like robots, but they are made of rocks." Miko stated, "Pretty common in video games."
"It's actually Jewish." Sirenia said, and almost everyone gave her a look of non-recognition. "The precursor to Christianity?" she asked.
Wheeljack looked at Japheth, "Like his name?"
"Exactly!" Sirenia excitedly exclaimed.
"From this point on," Japheth said, "we're probably not going to get any rest. Arced Tsked. "Or cuddles."
"Oh, come on?" Arcee complained, and he just gave her a bright smile.
"Someone's a little addicted." Dust Up said offhandely.
"And you aren't?" Jumpstream asked, "I know I am."
"I have never seen sparkmates this complicated." Seaspray stated.
"They normally complicate things, a bit." Moonracer added.
"Saying you're not having fun?" Seaspray asked.
"Miko was right." Moonracer stated.
"Told ya." Miko added.
"I'm glad you find my love life so amusing." Japheth sarcastically stated.
"What?" Moonracer asked, "We're being supportive."
"Uh-huh?" Japheth sardonically asked.
"I hate to break up the team work." Wheeljack sarcastically said, "But, who's got pole position?"
Japheth looked everyone over. "Twinstrike, then me, then the Rust Maidens." he then looked at Arcee.
"Then us." Arcee stated, looking at Sirenia, Arcelia, and Roxana.
Japheth then looked over the Wreckers. Wheeljack was likely to have a great plan, and then drive off without telling anyone. Miko likely to run into the battle, and do her own thing. Seaspray went with the flow, and would likely do his own thing. Phantom Rider liked doing the same. Moonracer was a sniper, meaning she would likely take whatever vantage point she likes. He then settled on Bullkhead, who looked nervously about. Bulkhead would not run off on his own, unless he had a great idea. Which meant he was likely to run off on his own, just less likely. Japheth let out a sigh.
"What?" Miko asked.
"He just realized that we like to do our own thing." Wheeljack stated, "If only he could remember why he recruited me."
"How do Wreckers normally do it?" Japheth asked.
"That's pretty easy." Bulkhead stated, "If we have a specific objective, we make a plan that will last until first contact."
"Other than that, we have Wrecker protocols." Wheeljack uttered.
"How to consolidate and reorg?" Japheth rhetorically asked. "You don't even need to know what the others are doing."
"Now he's getting it." Wheeljack said, with as close as he got to joy, and Japheth sighed again.
"Alright, one more rule." he said, and Wheeljack glared at him. The other Wreckers looking curiously, "The last Wrecker to run off on his own has to tell me before they go."
"That it?" Wheeljack asked.
"If it's not too complicated?" Japheth gleefully asked.
"Very funny." Wheeljack uttered.
"And what exactly am I supposed to do?" Airachnid harshly asked.
"Yes?" Japheth harshly asked, "What should scouts do?" He paused, as he glared at her, "Whenever we stop, investigate side passages. Keep track of the comings and goings of everyone. Investigate..." he said, and paused, "Cautiously investigate anything unknown that pops up."
"Is that really all you want me to do?" Airachnid dismissively asked, looking at her claws.
Japheth leaned down and glowered harshly into her eyes for a moment. Then he smiled brightly, which made her extremely uncomfortable. He then stood upright, "I know cooperation is not your thing, but unfortunately for everyone, we don't have a choice."
"If you do a good job, he might give you headpats." Arcee said with a wicked smile, and Airachnid rolled her eyes.
"Or... OTHER things." Jumpstream stated.
"I doubt she'll be that good." Japheth said, and turned towards Twinstrike at the lead.
"And, myself?" Zuo asked.
"2IC." Japheth stated.
Zuo turned to give Arcee a questioning look, but she let out a great sigh of relief. He instead looked to Pyra Magna.
"She..." Japheth said, and paused, "Victoria is my wrath. She leads them to victory."
"How can that be so lame and inspiring at the same time?" a confused Miko asked.

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch37: Rally
The Elite Guard had collected together in the main corridor, what should be the main thoroughfair.
"Anyone encounter a Headmaster?" Landslide asked. The Elite Guard all looked at each other for a moment, with not one replying.
"And what happens when we do?" Cinderstream asked Smokescreen.
"Energon shots to the Transtector. It will protect them from the direct effects, but the feedback might dispel enough of the Dark Energon to snap them back to their senses."
"You know I don't have?.." Cindersteam asked, a when Smokescreen passed him a pistol. Cinderstream took the pistol.
"You just... have it in case someone needs it?" Downshift asked.
"Yes." Smokescreen said, and pulled something else out. It was small and card like. He tapped it against his open left hand a couple of times before putting it away.
"And?" Moose Runner asked.
"The Prime's back-up plan." Smokescreen simply stated, "Let's hope we don't need it, this time." He then quickly put it away.
* * *
Japheth drove into the command centre. Arcee and Rust Dust right behind him. Roxana and Arcelia followed, with Sirenia and Carrron transforming into a landing. Behind them was Pyra Magna, with Jumpstream and Dust Up behind her. Japheth transformed, and all of the others did as well. As he walked into the command centre, he looked between the seven Micromasters that dotted the place. All aiming blasters at him.
"Seven Minicons, this is Japheth Prime." Moonracer said from her sniper nest. They all dropped their weapons.
Japheth looked between them, and knew in his spark they were perfect. They were miners, with a long history of working together. He pulled something out and tossed it to them. "Here." he said.
Irelic caught it, and glared down at it as it started to glow. He started to glow with it, when the other six Micromasters started to glow as well. The light filled the room, and when it was gone, the seven stood combined together.
Japheth walked up to them with a bright smile and offered him his hand. "Japheth Prime." he said. The combined Micromasters looked at him, hand moving instinctively forward. Japheth grabbed it and shook it. "And you are?"
The combined thought for a moment, and then gently looked down to him, "Warmachine."
"Oh?!" Japheth asked, "I like it." He then stepped back and transformed. "Arkie?" he asked.
"Tsk." she replied, as she walked up, "Really?"
"You said you wanted a nickname." Japheth said.
"Okay, yeah, but..." she said, as he opened up his rear compartment. "Did you really think you'd need all of these?" She waved Warmachine over. With a curious look he walked over. She handed him one bolter, which he took with his left hand. She then handed him another, which he picked up with his right. She then pulled out an ammo crate, which she placed on the ground. Warmachine's hands transformed, absorbing the bolters. He reverted his hands, which he looked at for a moment before looking down at the ammunition crate. Arcee closed Japheth's compartment, and he transformed.
"We can teach you to make the ammuntion." Japheth said to Warmachine.
"And the weapons?" Warmachine grumbled.
"Bolters, and you'd have to talk to Knockout." He then looked around the room, "Once we solve this little issue." His eyes focused on Airachnid. "Find Twinstrike."
Airachnid just looked at him for a moment, "You think I'm especially good at?.."
"Yes." Japheth stated.
"Don't you trust your other scout, more?" Airachnid asked, faking being wounded.
"I trust turning my back to her, more." Japheth harshly replied. She glared at him for a moment. When she realized it wasn't working, she gave up and transformed to fly away.
"And us?" Jumpsteam asked, taking a few steps towards him. The three other Rust Maidens there doing the same.
"Recall the Wreckers. Miko and Bulkhead need to be left until the last."
Pyra Magna walked passed him, "You heard him." she said, the other three Rust Maidens walking after her. They then transformed and rolled out.
"And myself?" Warmachine strongly asked.
"Get used to transforming and combining." he said, and Warmachine broke up into the seven Micromasters.
"And us?" Arcee sardonically asked.
"Ciel and Siren on the console."
"And... us?.." Arcee nervously asked.
"You, me, and Roxie in a cuddle."
"Of course!" Roxana exclaimed.
* * *
Warmachine combined together, and looked at his hands as he flexed them, as he wiggled his fingers. He looked over to Japheth as he sat against a low wall, with Arcee and Roxana in a cuddle. "This activity is curious?" he asked.
"Arcee?" Japheth asked, and she frowned as she opened her eyes, and turned to look at Warmachine
"It's called cuddling, and it - is - wonderful."
"Perhaps we should?.."
"Among sparkmates." Roxana quickly stated, and he gave them a curious look.
"Are sparkmates not normally pairs?" Warmachine strongly asked.
Japheth turned to Arcelia and Sirenia at the console, "Siren, Ciel." he said. The two quickly finished up what they were doing, and turned to walk towards him.
"Humans have various levels of sparkmate, we are referred to as Concubines, while Arcee is the Wife." Arcelia stated.
"The modern, Human world pretends it does not, which is an incredible aberration, historically." Sirenia added. "Throughout almost the entirety of Human history, any leftover women would be taken up by the higher-class males."
Japheth sighed.
"You, disagree?" Warmachine asked. He then looked down at his hands as he opened and closed them. He looked back to Japheth.
"He doesn't like us fawning over him." Arcee stated.
"He doesn't like us talking about how fantastic he is." Roxana said.
"You - have not?" Warmachine asked.
"Because he doesn't want us to." Arcee sardonically said, trying to pretend she did not enjoy the cuddle as much as she was.
Warmachine thought this over for a moment, "I would like a target range to test my new weapons."
"Moonracer?" Japheth asked, and she quickly jumped down from her nest.
"On it!" she shouted.
"Arcelia can also give you a list of patterns that Roxie can help you with." Japheth said, and Warmachine just stared at him.
"Lost technology." Roxana giddily said.
* * *
Moose Runner and Landslide drive into the hangar. Kaen and Seizen knelt down, and started pulling the shackled Micromasters from their back. They struggled without purpose, as if they did not have more than a single thought, but that was one thought more than true Terrorcons.
* * *
Bulkhead's wrecking ball shattered the chest of one of the mini-Terrorcons as Miko, in her armour did the same with a heel-palm strike. The bodies fell to the ground and ceased all movement. They didn't shuffle, they didn't crawl, they didn't even twitch. They had been dead Ronnacycles before now.
"Do you know long I've wanted to do this?" Miko asked.
"Knowing you, like 5 minutes after you met me."
Miko paused for a moment. "Okay, yeah. You know what I miss, my guitar. Think I could get a guitar that works as a weapon?"
"You already have rockets, your auto-blaster, and armour forged by the original Primes." Bulkhead neutrally said to her.
"You think the guitar wouldn't work with the armour?" Miko genuinely asked her.
"Well, you'd probably have to pick, one sized for the armour, and one sized for an adorable fembot."
"Alright, I like your sass." Miko replied, "And I am adorable."
"But aren't guitars based on the length of the string?" Bulkhead asked.
"What?!" Miko exclaimed, "Oh, scrap."
"We do know a few mad scientists who could probably build it for you." Bulkhead simply stated.
"I honestly didn't see this coming?" Miko asked.
"What?" Bulkhead replied.
"You, me, and Terrorcons, and what I want to do is go and talk to Knockout."
"To be fair, they are a bit smaller than last time." Bulkhead replied.
* * *
Phantom Rider rammed through a pack of mini-Terrorcons, striking a half-dozen of them. He transformed in the middle of the pack. His chains were outstretched, which he then swept forward. This struck nine or ten. Seaspray swept in and transformed right behind him. He had a harpoon gun in each hand, and each pierced a chest of a mini-Terrorcon. He put the harpoon guns away and transformed his hands into Great Knights, the blades most infamously used by Optimus. He used them to puncture the chestplates of the mini-Terrorcons, one by one, as Phantom Rider's chains started slamming one into the other, leaving scorch marks where they touched. The shambling bodies were pierced or thrashed about, until in the end most completely stopped, while others were too broken to move.
"You really need to get a knife." Seaspray simply said to him.
Phantom Rider's eyes were barely visible through his visor, but Seaspray could see enough to see them glare. Phantom Rider pulled out a knife. The glare continued for a moment before he looked down, stabbing the knife hard enough to break the breast plates of one of the twitching bodies.
* * *
The twins transformed into a landing as Seaspray and Phantom Rider pierced the last of the twitching bodies.
"You two are." Skyburst stated.
"Hard to catch." Stormclash added.
Phantom Rider gave them a questioning gaze.
"What's up?" Seaspray asked, "You miss us already?"
"I can see why." Stormclash stated.
"Wheeljack missed you so much." Skyburst added. Seaspray just smiled at them, "Rally."
"With His Prime." Stormclash added.
* * *
Pyra Magna and Rust Dust drove up. Wheeljack barely looked back at them, "Ladies?" he asked.
Zuo turned to give them a more respectful look. "How can we help you?"
* * *
Pyra Magna drove with Rust Dust behind her. Twinstrike turned his draconic body to the left, and the left head turned to look at them.
"We trust you found what you were looking for?" Rust Dust asked, and his left head looked down at her.
"Looking is not the right word." the left head said. The right head appeared overtop of him.
"We found what we were seeking."
* * *
Dust Up and Jumpstream drove and transformed, Miko and Bulkhead standing over a pile of broken Micromaster bodies. "Yo." Miko said, and gave them a little wave. "What's up?"
"We're here to help you hold the line." Dust Up eagerly said.
"In case we need to break contact." Jumpstream replied, "He's got a plan."
"Care to share?" Miko asked.
"When he shares with us." Dust Up dismissively said.
"Yeah, that's Japheth." Bulkhead stated.

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch36: Call from the Deep
A tiny warp gate opened up, just big enough for the Sunrise Thunder to slip through, closing the moment the last was through. Japheth immediately had a comm. request from the Phthia. He quickly opened it. "My Prime." Captain Dodge addressed him, "Trouble on the surface." He paused to allow Japheth to interject, and when he did not, Dodge continued, "The Micromasters are being controlled."
"I was worried about that." Japheth said, and Dodge was happy that Japheth could not see the surprise on his face. "I'm guessing they've all been infected with a small amount of Dark Energon. Energon infusion should free them."
A pregnant pause followed, "That is... exactly... what our Sergeant has done." Dodge stated. "Even worse are the reports from your command centre."
"Terrorcons." Japheth sighed. "Shouki."
"Boss?" Shouki replied.
"The Sunrise Thunder will join the Elite Guard."
"Easy enough." Shouki stated, "If you think we won't be needed."
"The Terrorcons in the deep are dead. The ones on the surface are being controlled."
"Which means, what?!" Kaen asked.
"They can be saved." Suiken stated.
"Which means we need to be gentle." Yukikaze stated.
"My squadron and the Rust Maidens will head to the deep." Japheth stated, the Rust Maidens eagerly shaking beside him.
* * *
The connected Sunrise Thunder flew down the rift valley and came to a landing beside the Skyfall. The doors opened. The Dollform Femmes quickly left while Japheth had to slowly crawl out. Once he stood clear, he turned to the Femmes, "Transform and roll out."
Japheth transformed, with Arcee right after him. Then Roxana, Arcelia, Sirenia, Carron, Pyra Magna, Jumpstream, Dust Up, Rust Dust, Skyburst, and Stormclash. The Sunrise Thunder reverted to their robot forms and ran towards the hangar.
* * *
Japheth reverted to his robot form as he crossed the hangar's outer doors, with the Femmes doing the same a moment later. Hanging about the hangar were shackled Micromasters, chained to the ceiling. Off to the side they saw a number of them laying on the ground, with Ratchet and Knockout looking over them. Roxana quickly rushed over. The Micromasters on the ground were groaning.
"Roxana?" Knockout warmly greeted her, and Ratchet turned towards her.
"We could definitely use your help." Ratchet said to her, and then looked at Japheth, "But he'll likely need you even more."
"And Gella?" Roxana asked.
"On the Skyfall." Knockout quickly said, "She's keeping our infusors working." He then looked back to the Micromasters on the ground, "But they are working."
"What... happened?.." one of the Micromaster asked, and Japheth walked up to him, and then kneeled down.
"There are trace amounts of Dark Energon in the water supply." Japheth said to him, and paused to let the Micromaster groan, "Unicron can use Dark Energon to control Cybertronians."
"Unicron?!" Knockout asked, and Japheth gave him a questioning look.
"We fought him before." Arcee said, walking up to them.
"Well, yes, but still?.." Knockout asked.
"On Terra." Arcee continued.
"On him." Japheth stated. "Have their been any earthquakes?"
"Or shambling bodies made out of earth?" Arcee asked.
"Well... no..." Knockout stated, and Ratchet grumbled.
"It's clear that so far from home, he is no where near his full strength." Japheth added.
"Well, if that's true, what about Megatron?" Knockout asked.
"From what I understand, he only had Dark Energon in his system." Ratchet said to him.
"It was the only thing keeping him alive." Knockout uncertainly stated.
"Here there's only trace amounts." Ratchet added.
"So... we don't have the worry about Unicron waking up and killing us all?" Knockout asked.
"Hopefully not." Japheth simply stated.
"Hope?" Knockout asked, "Not exactly my strong suit." He then looked contemplative, "At least until I joined the winning team." He gave Arcee an uncertain smile, and she just sighed.
"Look, you've really proven yourself." she said to him.
"I have?.." he nervously asked.
"You've become a tremendous force for good." Japheth said to him, simply, completely, and Knockout looked completely lost.
Ratchet turned to Roxana, "We can handle things here. All we are really doing is Energon infusions and monitoring."
"The Elite Guard are really, well, Elite." Knockout stated, "We haven't had anyone with anything more than minor injuries."
"You're sure?" Roxana asked.
"I'm sure that Japheth will need you more than we will." Ratchet stated.
Japheth stood up and turned towards Smokescreen and Golden Hind, "Have you seen any sign of the Transtectors?" he asked.
"Yeah, you noticed it too?" Smokescreen asked, "But no, we haven't seen any. It's a big city, and we have to stop and capture every - single - person."
Japheth then looked at the twins, "Skyburst, Stormclash, head to the command centre as quickly as possible."
The two gave him brilliant smiles before transforming and quickly flying over Smokescreen's head, deeper into the city.
Japheth then looked at the Rust Maidens, "Jumpstream, Dust Up, your job will be to escort Roxana." He then looked at Pyra Magna, "Pyra and I will be the vanguard; remember to tell the difference between Terrorcons living puppets." Her eyes grew wide with surprise, which slowly changed to confidence. Japheth then looked down to Rust Dust, "Rust, rearguard."
"My Prime!" the remaining Rust Maidens stated.
Japheth then looked at Arcee, "And me?" she asked
Japheth smiled as he walked towards her, loving looking into her eyes. The two simply stared for a moment before he leaned down to passionately kiss her. He pulled away, and their eyes were locked for a moment before speaking, "Everywhere." he said to her.
"Scrap." she uttered.
Japheth then turned to Carron, "Same with Carron."
"My... My Prime!" she exclaimed.
Japheth turned to the back as the Sunrise Thunder stepped into the hangar, "Shouki, coordinate with Smokescreen." He then looked over his Femmes, "Transform and roll out."
* * *
"So?" Kaen asked, "Is there a reason I'm here?"
"We could probably help a bit more with the, you know, actual fighting." Seizan added.
"Uh-huh?" Shouki asked, "Two questions, how many Transtectors are there?" he asked. They looked around the hangar to see none of them. Shouki then looked at the outer doors of the hangar, "There are also wild beast that would just love to drink the Energon dripping from our dead bodies." He then looked at Kaen, "And how many of us does it take to make Raiden?"
A pregnant pause followed.
"And just what on this world needs Raiden?" Getsuei asked.
Shouki looked at him, giving a knowing look. He then looked to Suiken.
"We don't know." Suiken stated. "The canopy here is too thick for our sensors to scan the surface. The wild life is different from everything else on record, meaning we cannot even make educated guesses."
"I remember something from the reports." Yukikaze said, and everyone looked at him, "They fill the niche of birds, but were closer to fish or frogs."
"The canopy is as thick as anything we've seen." Shouki said, looking out the hangar to the sheltered Skyfall.
"The largest land animals in Terra's prehistory were around 60 tonnes." Suiken stated.
"And how big is that?" Getsuei asked.
"Not as big as a Titan," Suiken stated, "but far too big for anything not made of metal and powered by Energon." he then looked at Colossus outside the hangar, on watch in his giraffe form. "I'd say ten times his size."
"You're saying?.." Seizan asked.
"I don't know." Suiken replied, "But you need to know how much we don't know."
Eurawind transformed into a landing beside Colossus.
* * *
The colossal doors opened and the twins transformed into a landing. They saw Moonracer in her nest, and 7 Micromasters pointing two-handed blasters at them.
"Yo." they both said at the same time.
"Stand down." Moonracer stated, and the Micromasters slowly lowered their weapons.
"We're here." Skyburst stated.
"To help." Stormclash added.
"They broke into pairs." Moonracer stated, and then looked between the Micromasters, "Boo, Gaylord, Irelic, Morpheus, Null, Rector, and Scatter." she said.
"Hail!" all but Null cried.
Moonracer looked at Null, "He doesn't speak much. Or at all."
"What should?" Stormclash asked.
"We do?" Skyburst added.
"Layered defence." Moonracer stated.
The twins transformed and flew towards the doors to the deep, the door quickly opened to allow them to fly through.
* * *
The twins flew passed shambling hoards, easily dispatch with coordinated fire from their chin-mounted auto-blasters.
* * *
The twins transformed into a landing, to the side and back from Airachnid. Stormclash had her beam sabre ready while Skyburst held the auto-blaster in both hands and aimed it at her.
Airachnid developed a wicked grin.
"What's?" Skyburst asked.
"So funny?" Stormclash added.
"Oh?" Airachnid asked, "Either that you would betray me."
"We did not!" Stormclash added.
"You did!" Skyburst added.
"Did I?" Airachnid languidely asked. In reply, the twins simply looked at each other, unsure of what to say. "Or, that even without my weapons, you think you could beat me." Once again, the two readied their weapons. "Oh, I have an idea?" she asked, and raised her hands, "I surrender."

The Prime of Our Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch35: Outbreak
Miko, in the Apex Armour, punched clean through the mini-Terrorcon's chest. She looked at the shambling forms moving slowly towards her. She then turned to Airachnid and glared.
"It's a good thing you have someone surgically disarmed." Airachnid said to her. Miko gave her a questioning look, and Airachnid transformed and flew away.
Miko wanted to catch the runaway, before turning back to the shambling forms moving towards her. "I knew you would betray us!" she shouted over the comms.
"Oh, honey." Airachnid replied, "If I was betraying you, trust me, you would know."
"Then what in Japheth's name are you doing?!" Miko shouted.
"Yes, well, what would a disarmed scout do in combat?" Airachnid sarcastically asked her. She paused for a moment, getting no reply, "Telling the others, obviously. Or did you just want me to stand around, watching you get attacked. Because, if it was a bit safer, it does sound like fun."
"How do I know you aren't going to escape?" Miko asked, as she punched through another mini-Terrorcon.
"Maybe because the main route to the surface is now His - Purple - Prime's headquarters?"
"Yeah, like digging was that hard for you." Miko harshly said, punching through another's chest.
"While I'm - not as good as I used to be - I could probably find my way, if I wanted to." she sardonically replied.
"So, you admit you're going to run away?!" Miko shouted, picking up the mini-Terrorcon, and throwing him into the others.
"Yes." Airachnid sardonically said, "This is the first world he let me go, without escort." she said, and paused, "Ever wonder why?" She got no reply, and so decided to continue, "Because there's nothing here besides beasts that would tear me apart, and acid rain." She paused a bit longer, "Could you say something so I know the comms. are working?" she asked. Another paused before she got a reply.
"I'm here, just a little busy." Miko stated, "Go flitter off, like you're good at."
* * *
Phantom Rider drove through the shambling mini-Terrorcons, sending them flying.
* * *
Airachnid transformed into a landing. Moonracer, Seaspray, Wheeljack, Bulkhead, a number of Micromasters, and a few Headmasters aimed their blasters at her. She simply raised her hands and sashayed foward. Their weapons quickly dropped. "Is that any way to say hello to an old friend?" she wickedly asked, and the Wreckers all pointed their weapons at her. She gave them a wicked smile, and they slowly lowered their weapons. "It seems your little femme could use some help."
Bulkhead immediately transformed and drove towards her. She slowly stepped to the side, Bulkhead just missing her. Phantom Rider drove in, stopping short, and then transformed. "What she said."
Zuo stepped forward in his Human-form Transtector, "We were expecting this." He then turned to Wheeljack.
"What, do you think I'm the leader?" Wheeljack asked.
"Only because you are the most obstinent." Zuo said, and Wheeljack glared at him. "You refuse more than the others do."
Wheeljack broke the glare, "Alright, alright, what's your plan?"
"Our plan." Zuo replied, "And it's the plan we already agreed to. I am curious as to why you would lie about it."
A pregnant silence followed, until Moonracer spoke up from her sniper nest. "He wants to make sure we're all on the same page." Wheeljack looked up to glare at her. "Yeah-yeah." she dismissively said.
"Micromasters will remain to guard the headquarters. Headmasters and Wreckers break into teams to hunt down the Terrorcons. One of them will guard the most obvious point of ingress." He then looked at Phantom Rider, "But apparently they are attacking from more than one place."
"Bulk's with Miko," Wheeljack stated, "Moonchild guards the headquarters. What about the rest of us?"
"I need someone who goes with the flow." Seaspray stated, and looked about, seeing no volunteers. His gaze focused on Phantom Rider. He could barely see the questioning gaze in reply. "You don't feel the need to fill the silence with unnecessary words."
Wheeljack turned to glare at him, and Seaspray just smiled at him.
* * *
The Elite Guard walked over the enclosed bridge from the Phthia to the Skyfall.
* * *
Ratchet flew the Skyfall down as Knockout stepped into the back. He saw Smokescreen about to address the Elite Guard, "So, you going to tell us what the secret is?" Knockout asked.
Smokescreen briefly looked at him before looking back at his troops. "We had a message relayed from Arcelia's repeater."
"Message?" Knockout curiously asked.
"Not addressed to us." Smokescreen said to him, and looked back to his troops.
"Then to who?" Knockout genuinely asked.
"More importantly was the message itself. Terrorcons. Even worse, there's a high likelihood that all Micromasters on the planet have been infected with Dark Energon."
"Says who?" Knockout asked.
Smokescreen looked back at him, "By combining reports from you, Ratchet, Gella, Overland, Angle Drive, Colossus." he said, and paused, "And repeated reports from deep underground."
"You, uh, do that for fun?" Knockout asked, and a grumble from Ratchet could be barely heard.
"I do it to not be surprised." Smokescreen said to him.
"Thank you!" Ratchet exclaimed from the front.
Smokescreen turned back to his soldiers, "We're not Wreckers or Dinobots. We're the Elite Guard. I want zero civilian casualties."
"And, if they're, uh?.." Knockout asked, and Smokescreen looked back at him.
"The best answer to Dark Energon infection is an Energon infusion?" Smokescreen asked him.
"You... want us to... treat... Terrorcons. Are you mad?!"
"You'll have Colossus to help you." Smokescreen said to Knockout, "And you'll have a couple of Battle Sisters to provide air cover."
Knockout looked back at Eurawind and Zephawind in the back, "I was wondering why they were here." He then looked back to Smokescreen, "Alright, let's suppose that you are good enough to stop all the Terrorcons without hurting them?" Smokescreen nodded at him, "What are you going to do about the rain?"
"We'll secure the landing site and the hangar. That should keep all of the wanderers towards us." Smokescreen replied.
"And... if it doesn't?.."
"We'll have to figure it out..." Smokescreen nervously stated.
"I'm guessing it involves me." Moose Runner soundly stated.
Knockout turned back to the front, "You okay with this?"
"Any complaints I have can wait until after." Ratchet grumbled.
* * *
The Skyfall flew down into the rift valley. It slowed, turned, and landed facing away. The ramp fell down away from the hangar, and the Elite Guard quickly ran down, weapons at the ready. Golden Hind looked back up the rift valley while the others quickly turned towards the hangar, and then ran towards it.
"We will be quite alright." Colossus' great voice stated from higher on the ramp.
"Just covering my arcs." Golden Hind stated, and then turned about and transformed, rushing up to join the others. She reverted into Dollform when she caught up to them, and hustled to keep up with their advance. Downshift was the first one to reach the hangar, and it was empty, completely empty. He turned to the left as Cindersteam turned to the right, with Smokescreen coming in straight to the front. Landslide came in half-left, Moose Runner half-right, with Golden Hind taking a knee behind Smokescreen, and turning back to the Skyfall.
"Sir." Downshift stated, "All of the Transtectors are absent."
"Which never happens." Smokescreen added. "Keep your eyes on the flanks and advance." he stated. They swept through the hangar, with Downshift and Cinderstream looking into every nook and cranny. When they reached halfway, Smokescreen stopped. A sound could be heard, with the internal doors opening. Smokescreen aimed his one blaster, supported by his left hand. Moose Runner aimed two cannons. Landslide a pair of triple blasters. Cinderstream transformed his right hand into a flamethrower while Downshift transformed it into a carronade. Golden Hind had her blaster pointed to the rear. When the door finally opened, they saw no one there, but could hear groaning, and the distinctive sound of metal feet being dragged. "Alpha will hold the threshold. Beta and Gamma take the sides. Extract anyone you find, and the doctors will treat them."
"This sounds like it's going to take time." Golden Hind stated.
"Feel free to rest on your kickstand." Smokescreen replied. Cinderstream and Moose Runner moved to the right side of the corridor, while Downshift and Landslide turned to the leftt.
"Very funny." Golden Hind stated.
"Believe it or not, I'm not joking." Smokescreen stated. "We're going to be here a while."
* * *
Ratchet and Knockout walked into the hangar, seeing a number of Micromasters barely moving, shackled and chained to the ceiling.
"This takes me back." Knockout whimsically stated.
"Yes, well, not all of us have fond memories of being a mad scientist." Ratchet grumbled.
"I never said they were fond memories." Knockout uttered. "Actually the most frightening time of my life." He paused for a moment before looking at Ratchet, "Shall we?" he eagerly asked.
"Do they actually expect us to work like this?" Ratchet asked, and Knockout smiled at him.
"Weren't you a field medic?" Knockout asked him, and he simply grumbled.
He looked around for a moment as something occured to him, "It doesn't bother you that there are not and Transtectors here?"
"Bother is not the word." Knockout stated.
"Then what is?" Ratchet asked.
"Frightened out of my mind." Knockout uttered.
Colossus placed a large crate on the ground behind them, causing them both to jump.
Ratchet quickly turned to look at him, "Do you have to do that?!"
"He does." Knockout warmly said as he looked him over. Colossus simply gave him a look of complete non-recognition. "Yes, well." he said, and turned to Ratchet, "Shall we?"

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch34: Apostle
Arcelia stood at the console, the twins flanking her. Behind them was Sirenia and Suiken. Suiken turned to look back at Japheth, whom looked out at the vast wasteland. "It's some kind of proto-Cybertronian script. I understand why they had so much trouble reading it."
"Do you think they stood on each other's shoulders?" Dust Up asked. She then followed Suiken's gaze that was still focused on Japheth.
"Does it make any more sense if you assume it's a warning?" Japheth asked.
The five heads turned back to the console.
"I!" Skyburst exclaimed without looking back.
"Love you!" Stormclash added.
"If we assume these are the coordinates." Suiken said, "And then this would be the warning."
"We still lack the proper syntax." Arcelia uttered.
"Maybe Japheth should take a look at it?" Arcee neutrally asked. Everyone gave her a subtle but curious look.
"Sure." Japheth said, and walked over to the platform. He stepped up, and everyone made way for him to approach the console. The twins pressed themselves into him. He wrapped his arms around their waists as he looked at the console. After a few moments he pulled his arms away, before using them to push the twins to the sides. He then knelt down, and opened a pannel. He pressed a button, and the ground started to shake. It shook, and shook, until beyond the platform, a pit opened up with stairs going downwards.
"Disciple of Primus!" a great voice beckoned.
"Ignore him." Japheth stated, and everyone gave him a curious, frightened look. He then looked between the Rust Maidens, "Rust Maidens, go explore." he said.
"Just?.." Rust Dust asked.
"Yes." Japheth stated. "Ciel, Roxie, Siren, go with them. You'll be safe underground."
"If it's safe, why are we going there?" Dust Up asked.
"Maybe because we're the archeologists?" Pyra Magna asked.
"'Archeologists'." Jumpstream said with airquotes.
"And no one is worried that we can't even read?.." Rust Dust asked, and the look on Japheth's face stopped her.
"You'll know what it is, and it won't affect you." Japheth said to them. Sirenia gave him a nervous look, Arcelia a curious look. The Rust Maidens quickly accepted what he said, and confidently walked towards the stairs that lead deep into the earth. Japheth then looked at Shouki, "Shouki, don't combine until I tell you to." Shouki seemed to accept this.
"You going ask why?" Yukikaze asked.
"They're will be plenty of time for that later." Shouki simply replied, and turned back outwards.
Japheth walked down from the console, looking out over the desert, "Do you think I'm afraid of you?! Primes have already defeated you twice before!"
"You are like maggots on a rotting corpse!" the great voice bellowed.
"And EVERYONE is a disciple of Primus. I'm more of an apostle!"
"The last time was a mere accident!" the great voice bellowed.
"Is anyone going to ask who he's talking to?" Suiken asked.
"I get the impression we don't want to know." Getsuei uttered.
"We'll find out soon enough." Shouki turned and said to them.
"He did tell us." Seizan stated.
"NO!" Suizan shouted.
"The last time was because Optimus had a backup plan!" Japheth stated.
"Which you - have not!" the great voice bellowed.
* flash back *
Smokescreen greeted Japheth at the Phthia's airlock. He held out his hand to shake it when he found Japheth placing something in his hands.
"What... is it?" Smokescreen asked.
"The key to the ground bridge power supply." Japheth said with a brilliant smile. He then turned back into the airlock and it closed behind him as Smokescreen was immobile with shock.
* * *
"Honestly, I probably won't even need it." Japheth shouted. "You are far from home."
"And you - as well, disciple of Primus!" the great voice bellowed.
"Since I've left my home, I have only gotten stronger!" Japheth shouted, "And you?!"
A great wind howled, but no words were heard.
* * *
The Rust Maidens swiftly, eagerly walked down the underground corridors. Arcelia, Roxana, and Sirenia hustling to follow them. "I've never seen them so giddy." Roxana stated.
"Not sure why we don't just transform?" Arcelia asked, and Sirenia slowed to a stop. Arcelia slowed to look back at her, "Keep up, Siren." she said.
"Isn't it obvious?" Roxana asked, turning back just long enough to make sure Sirenia was following before looking forward again, "They believe His Prime, but are still being a bit cautious."
"Yeah." Rust Dust quickly said, "We've seen plenty of times like this when they are filled with traps."
"Traps... that would still work, after Ronnacycles?" Sirenia curiously asked. For a moment forgetting her nervousness.
"Oh, man." Jumpstream stated, "She's just precious."
"And what are you expecting to find?" Arcelia asked.
"Something." Pyra Magna simply stated, as if that was all that was needed.
"Some-thing?" Arcelia asked.
"They believe in Him." Sirenia simply stated.
"We honestly are having." Skyburst stated.
"The time of our lives." Stormclash added.
* * *
A body of earth started to form. Once complete, it looked like Unicron, and looked up at Japheth. Japheth transformed his left arm into a path blaster, and shot it a couple of times before it broke apart. Slowly the form started to reform, only to be shot a couple of times again. Again, the body slowly rebuilt itself, only to be shot a couple of times. "I have a lot of Energon." Japheth tiredly said.
A second appeared in front of Shouki. He shot it with his arc blaster, and it travelled well through the body, continuing off into the distance. The two bodies reformed, only to be destroyed again.
"Wow." Japheth sarcastically stated, "Look at that. Two whole bodies?"
"You would dare taunt, ME, Disciple of Primus?!" Unicorn bellowed. A half dozen of the bodies appeared. Seizan destroyed one with his blaster. Suiken aimed his Fusil and fired, taking another out. Yukikaze transformed a freeze blaster, froze his, and then drew his Cybertronian-size katana, and cut him in two. Kaen transformed a knuckle duster on his right fist and punched clear through one.
Japheth and Shouki each destroyed one with a single shot.
"That's it?!" Japheth asked, as the six bodies started to reform. A moment later they were all destroyed. "I mean, seriously, by now we were at at least a dozen."
"Why - do - you - mock - me, Disiciple - of - Primus?!" Unicron bellowed.
"Because - I - can!" Japheth bellowed in reply. Another six had been been formed; another six had been destroyed.
* * *
The Rust Maidens stepped into a large room with a vaulted ceiling. On the opposite side stood a pedestal, and the six stopped. The three behind them also stopped.
"Is that what I think it is?" Jumpsteam asked, and a palpable silence followed.
"Which is what?" Roxana asked.
"An Enigma of Combination, only smaller." Pyra Magna stated.
"I'd say." Stormclash added.
"About half?" Skyburst asked.
"Like Rust Dust." Stormclash stated.
"That just means I feel Japheth even more." Rust Dust stated.
"So?" Roxana asked.
"So?" Jumpsteam asked.
"So we check for traps." Dust Up finished.
* * *
A dozen bodies of earth appeared before them, all the same size as the ones earlier. All were taken out in a couple of seconds. "I haven't even switched to my bolter yet..." Japheth sighed.
* * *
"No traps, who wants the?.." Pyra Magna asked, as Rust Dust walked up and quickly grabbed the device. She turned around and looked at the others, "What? He said it was safe for us." The pause could be felt.
"Judging by it's size, maybe it's designed for Minicons?" Sirenia asked.
"Micromasters." Arcelia stated.
"Which means Rust Dust isn't small enough to be a Micro - master." Jumpsteam chided.
"Very funny." Rust Dust quickly stated. She briefly through the enimga into the air before quickly catching it again.
* * *
The Rust Maidens walked out of the tunnel and stopped. Pyra Magna turned to the three behind her, "You girls stay right there."
"Master!" Carron exclaimed from the pedastal.
He quickly looked over at her before quickly looking back. He shot the last body with his path blaster and reverted it. He reached behind his body to grab the bolter with his left hand. He looked over to Shouki, "Hook up, and let's go." he said.
"You heard him!" he shouted.
The earthen bodies started to reform, this time at least 16. The trainbots transformed and hooked up together. Victoria formed, and gestured for the three to fly to the trains. Carron landed on Getsuei's roof, and started destroying the golems with her carronade as Japheth destroyed them with his bolter. The three non-combatants rushed over, transforming just long enough to revert to Dollform. Victoria broke, and did the same. Carron transformed and reverted to Dollform before running inside. Japheth crawled inside. The doors closed as soon as he was inside, and the trains took off, quickly climbing to orbit.
* * *
"You hear that?" Miko asked Airachnid.

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch33: Subtlety
The doors opened. Japheth, Bulkhead, Kaen, and Seizan carried Getsuei on their shoulders, and quickly paused, putting him down. He saw the basis for bulkwarks across most of the floor. Wheeljack looked up and just stared.
"We haven't seen these guys since?.." Seaspray asked as he thought it over. He then looked at Wheeljack.
"Well after the Exodus, that's for sure."
Moonracer gave them a light wave.
"You really got the Wreckers?!" Yukikaze exclaimed.
Wheeljack stood up, and slowly walked towards them, "Not just that, but he made it official."
"Wreckers?" Shouki asked, "Elite Guard. Who else do you have?"
Pyra Magna walked in, followed by the twins, "And the Rust Maidens." she said. She and Shouki just stared at each other for a few moments. "What, you don't come to visit Caminus?"
"Like we would..." Stormclash said, and Pyra Magna turned to glare at Skyburst to stop them from speaking.
"What can I say, we both like adventure." Shouki added.
"I guess they haven't been to Caminus in a while." Bulkhead stated.
"Which ones?" Seaspray asked, and Bulkhead just gave him an incredibly wide smile.
Pyra Magna walked up to Japeth, the twins right behind her. "This works too well to believe."
"Oh?" Japheth asked her.
"We discovered." Skyburst stated, walking passed Pyra Magna, her twin doing the same.
"Something."
"Very important." Skyburst added.
"Before coming in." Stormclash continued.
"They found." Skyburst stated.
"Something." they both stated.
"It lead them here." Pyra Magna stated.
"We wanted to." Stormclash pouted.
"Say it." Skyburst echoed.
"Ciel has the coordinates." Pyra Magna stated.
"Alright." Japheth casually stated, "Wreckers stay here. Rust Maidens get to ride on the trains."
"And... the spider... what's the word Miko used?" Wheeljack asked, "Bitch?"
"You can have Airachnid." Japheth stated. "She knows you won't hesitate if you need to attack her."
"What?" Wheeljack asked, "The Wreckers, or me?"
Japheth looked at Bulkhead, "My vote's on Jackie."
"Really Bulk?" Wheeljack sardonically asked, "You think I'm the leaderly type?"
"Depends who you're leading." Bulkhead said, and then looked at Moonracer and Seaspray in turn.
Japheth raised his right hand to his right ear, "Phantom Rider, report."
"Uh?" Phantom Rider asked, "I guess you mean the Terrorcons? They haven't been a problem, yet. This Zuo is one of the greatest warriors I have ever fought with. Apparently he's been the lead strategist here."
"Then he can coordinate any Micromasters who want to help with the quest." Japheth stated.
"What, just like that?" Phantom Rider asked. "You'd think I'd get used to you eventually."
Japheth then connected to Miko, "Love you." Japheth said.
* * *
"Love you?!" Miko shouted, "What the pit does he mean by that?"
"If it was me, it would be to lure you into a false - sense - of security. To - ignore - the - danger - you are so obviously facing." Airachind wickedly said to her.
"Uh-huh?" Miko asked, "And which of us ended up handcuffed under his boot." Airachnid gave her a wicked glare. "Oh, no, she's glaring at me?" Miko sarcastically, "Do you really think I'm afraid of you?" she asked, and Airachnid looked like she had never thought it possible. "Oh, it turns out, you're our pet now."
"Pet?" Airachnid wickedly asked.
"Pet, scout, whatever?" Miko dismissed. "He wants us to remind you that we have no problem killing you if we think you're a risk, and - yeah - we already think you're a risk."
Airachnid looked distant and fearful for a moment, until developing a curious look, "And if I find something that needs to be investigated?"
"Such a drama queen." Miko chided, "Just tell us." she said, and Airachnid's eyes opened wide with surprise.
* * *
Jumpstream stepped into the command centre, followed by Dust Up, Rust Dust, Arcelia, and Sirenia. Japheth waved his squadron over. He nodded at Arcelia before focusing on Sirenia, "Did you have fun?"
* * *
Flashback to Sirenia standing quietly to the side as Arcelia and the twins looked at the console.
* * *
Sirenia gave him a brilliant, giddy smile.
Japheth looked around, "Alright, let's go."
"Just like that?" Yukikaze asked.
"He likes to go with the flow." Seaspray said with pride.
Japheth turned to Shouki, "I still have a lot to talk to Ruck about. Contact me when you get close to the surface."
"My Prime." he replied, and then looked surprised by it.
"He has that effect on people." Arcee said with a smile.
* * *
"I just wanted to keep you posted." Japheth stated, and Ruck just stared at him with wide eyes.
"He does like doing that." Arcee brilliantly said. "Zuo will be coordinating with you over defence."
Ruck seemed distant for a moment before shaking his head. His eyes focused on her. "What, how?"
"Probably our helicopters." Arcee stated. Ruck nodded his head at that.
* * *
Japheth walked down the ramp of the Skyfall as the Sunrise Thunder walked out of the hangar.
* * *
The trainbots were all linked up as Japheth, his squadron, and the Rust Maidens approached. They all quickly transformed and then reverted to their Dollforms. "Sorry." Shouki said, "We had to shrink down to Human sizes." Arcee walked up to Getsuei, and crouched down to step inside. With a hunch they could walk inside, and even sit on the seats. Japheth walked up to the door and paused.
"He said we were sorry." Getsuei stated.
"I... I know..." Japheth voiced, and then crouched down to crawl inside.
"Now he knows how I felt in his house." Arcee simply stated.
"Bold face lies." Sirenia said.
"Siren." she admonished.
"I know how it felt." Sirenia warmly said to her.
"Tsk." Arcee uttered.
"Even if it was designed for us," Arcelia stated, "the garage got a little crowded at the end."
"We all good?" Getsuei asked.
Japheth stat down, still hunched over, "Roll out."
* * *
The linked trainbots flew up from the planet, matching orbit with the Phthia.
* * *
The trainbots turned to their destination. A warp portal barely large enough for them to pass through opened up. They slipped through and disappeared.
* * *
The trainbots exited the warp rift, which quickly closed behind them, on approach to a planet. The planet was mostly tan, with other shades of brown. "Suiken?" Shouki asked.
"Barren dustball." Suiken replied, "Only thing that makes it special is?.."
"Dark Energon?" Japheth interupted.
"What he said." Suiken stated. "More than we've ever detected at once."
"Victoria." Japheth said, and they all gave him a knowing look. He then looked away from them, "After we land, everyone else gets off, and they'll form Raiden."
"Right away?" Getsuei asked.
"Let's call it an abdundance of caution." Japheth stated, as the Getsuei's doors opened, and the Rust Maidens all leapt out.
"Caution about what?" Suiken asked.
"Oh, yeah!" Kaen exclaimed.
"I don't have any proof about it." Japheth stated.
"And now we're worried." Victoria stated.
"Will you just tell us?" Seizan exclaimed.
Japheth let out a great sigh, "Unicron."
Sirenia started nervously shaking. He reached out towards her and she practically leapt into his arms. He let out a soothing noise. "You and Arcelia just focus on analyzing whatever we come across."
"Uh?.." Suiken asked.
"Just say it." Shouki stated.
"If we don't get attacked in a few minutes, both Raiden and Victoria can break apart." Japheth simply stated.
* * *
The trainbots descended down to the world, nothing but rocks, sand, and blowing dust. It slowed and landed on the ground. Getsuei opened it's doors, and Arcee, Roxana, Arcelia, Sirenia, and Carron climbed out. A moment later Japheth clambered out, Getsuei rocking back and forth. A moment later the trainbots formed into Raiden. A moment later Victoria's Gravity umbrella disappeared as she landed. They all turned to look at an altar. Raiden moved to cover the left flank while Victoria moved to the right. Arcelia walked up to the altar. Japheth pushed a nervous Sirenia to follow her as Carron flittered passed them.
"If he's here," Japheth said over her, and then looked down at her, "he won't be attacking the altar." Sirenia nervously walked up to the altar, behind Arcelia. He looked down at Roxana, and she gave him a questioning look. "Keep your head down, and help anyone who needs help." He looked back up at the altar. "Arcee in the centre." He then looked back at Carron. "Carron on the opposite side of the altar."
"And, if U?.." Carron tried to ask, and he glared at her, causing her to immediately stop.
"If - HE - comes, keep moving, and try to keep the others safe." Japheth said to her, and she nodded, drawing on the Prime to shore up her absent strength.
Japheth simply looked at the altar, then behind them, and then a vigilence, looking all around them.
Arcelia and Sirenia approached the altar, and it appeared to be an ancient computer console.
"Just so we're clear?" Arcee asked, between Japheth and the console, "Everyone else feel's like their Sparkchambre is going to break?"
"Even combined." Victoria's great contralto uttered.
"Something epic is going to happen here." Raiden added.
"It seems like it will take some time for him to show up. You can break up." he said. Both Raiden and Victoria looked around the outside for a moment before breaking up.
"We'll know when he shows up." Arcee sardonically stated, "He's not exactly subtle."

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch32: Sunrise
A small warp gate opened up and a group of six train engines attached together flew through so quickly that it closed almost as soon as it opened. Rahab Ziskind opened the comm. channel to them, "Unknown vessel, this is the Prime Ship Ion. Identify yourself."
"This is Shouki of the of the Sunrise Thunder. What are you?"
"Patch me through." Sarah Saunders stated. A still Cybertronian face appeared on the monitor, "This is Sarah Saunders, we'll transmit data for an L4 Trojan Orbit with the Planet Master. Proceed there until we can review our archives or speak with the Prime."
"And exactly why should we do that?" Shouki firmly asked.
"Because - Prime Ship." Sarah Saunders stated, "Or because the Phthia's broadside would likely leave dead husks in the void."
"Oh, I like the way she said that." Shouki stated.
"Of course you would." Yukikaze stated. His fixed picture took up the left side of the screen while Shouki's face moved to fill the right.
"Let's just comply." Suiken stated. The screen was now filled with three fixed faces. "I doubt they could hit us, but we don't need to pick a fight."
A fourth face appeared, "Yet." Kaen added.
"Alright." Shouki's stated, "We'll be adrift - in the void."
"You could explore the other planets." Sarah Saunders said to them.
"We're not eggheads." Seizan's fixed face said as it appeared.
"Speak for yourself" Suiken stated.
"I'm still curious what they are." Getsuei fixed face stated, as it appeard on the screen.
"Do you mind if we combine?" Shouki asked.
"As long as you keep your distance." Sarah Saunders stated.
The six fixed faces were replaced with a single moving face, "This is Raiden. Moving to L4. Now, could you answer our question?" He asked, until something occured to him, and he sighed, "It's obvious you are Human. We never expected to see you so far from home."
"We could say the same from you." Merrick Parry said to them. "You mind if we come for a visit."
"Really?" Sarah Saunders asked.
"If I die, then we know we can't trust them." Merrick Parry said, trying to hide his glee.
Sarah Saunders sighed. "Let me contact..."
"Me?" June asked, as she walked onto the bridge. "We could ask ourself if it's a good idea or not, but chances are my son would let them try."
Sarah Saunders sighed once again, "Yeah..." Merrick Parry nearly jumped with excitement. "You haven't even asked her, yet."
"We could use the company." Raiden simply stated.
Sarah Saunders sighed once again.
* * *
Stormwright leapt out of the Ion's airlock with Merrick Parry in her hand. She transformed him into her cockpit, and the tailsitter fired it's thrusters to fly away from the ship.
* * *
Stormwright flew up to the connected trains. "Yo." Merrick Parry stated, "I'm Merrick, and this is Stormwright."
"Hello." Stormwright simply stated.
"You're all Japanese trains?!" Merrick exclaimed.
"Because everyone wants four wheels?" Raiden asked.
"He is excited." Stormwright brightly said.
"That's... an understatement." Merrick Parry voiced. "A little curious how it happened."
"We were already trainbots." Raiden stated, "Japan has an absolutely amazing rail system."
"Can't argue with that." Merric Parry stated.
"I don't know enough to comment." Stormwright stated, "Though, next time we're on Terra, I want to look into this."
"Oh, absolutely!" Merrick Parry stated.
"So, you want to tell us what's going on here?" Raiden asked them, as the combiner flew alongside the tailsitter.
"Honestly?" Merrick Parry asked, "Not really."
"Oh, now you don't want to talk?" Stormwright asked.
"I want to talk about everything other than what's going on here." Merrick Parry asked.
"Then I guess I'll give you the short version." Stormwright stated, "You'll have to wait until Japheth, or his archivists are ready for the longer one. Long story short, lost colony. They travelled between Cybertron, Caminus, and Terra to figure it out. The planet is called Master, and was one of the Titan colonies."
"And, exactly how long ago was that?" Raiden asked.
"The Age of Wrath." Stormwright stated. "Caminus was another of these colonies"
"And now a regular stop." Raiden stated.
"We were also a lot more lucky than the Micromasters were." Stormwright continued, "Japheth described our world as a paradise - a divine garden in Human mythology. Though, Caminus has worked hard to maintain the natural beauty."
"So does Japan." Raiden stated.
"Even better reason to visit." Stormwright said happily. "As for Japheth, right now, he's deep below Master, doing as only he could possibly understand."
"Arcee probably knows." Merrick Parry stated.
"I asked her, and she doesn't." Stormwright stated.
* * *
Bulkhead drove out of the hangar and into the rift valley, and he opened his comms. Smokescreen picked up on the other end, "So, what did I miss?"
"We just confirmed the identity of the Sunrise Thunder." Smokescreen simply stated.
"Whoa." Bulkhead uttered, as he looked distant, "That takes me back. That was one hell of a battle. What are they doing here?"
"It seems..." Smokescreen stated, and sighed, "No one wanted to tell them what happened."
"What about you?" Bulkhead asked him.
"I - am apparently - too boring." Smokescreen voiced. "They want to head down to see Japheth."
"Did you tell them about the acid rain?" Bulkhead asked.
"I tried." Smokescreen simply stated.
"Alright." Bulkhead stated, "I can probably get a signal to Japheth. Bulkhead out."
"Bulkhead?" Japheth asked, as he transformed, and paused in front of the doors.
"We've got some war heroes who want to meet you." Bulkhead stated.
"What do you mean?" Japheth asked, "How did they get here?"
"No one wants to talk, apparently." Bulkhead stated, "They want to come down and see you?"
"And?" Japheth asked, "Do we know they aren't hostile?"
"I don't know?" Bulkhead sardonically stated, "The rain?" He then heard Japheth sigh over the comms. "Give me a chance to talk with Ruck about the supplies, then I'll come back to the Skyfall."
* * *
Japheth drove out of the hangar and up to the Skyfall. He transformed and walked up to the ramp that Bulkhead was standing beside. Gella stepped down from the ramp, "Everyone has decided where they want to be."
"And, the Humans?" Japheth asked.
"Most of them are in the city." Gella stated, and a palpable pause followed.
"We only brought one chemical toilet." Japheth said under his breath. He then looked up at her, "And we can't build any plumbing, until we do something about the water."
Gella glared at him for a moment, "You have a plan, don't you?"
"The plan to make a plan?" Japheth asked.
"That's good enough for most battles." Bulkhead stated.
* * *
The Skyfall flew out of the rift valley, and angled upwards towards the Phthia. It launched high into the sky and then space before matching the Phthia's orbit.
* * *
Japheth and Bulkhead stood on the roof of the Skyfall as the connected train approached. It slowed and matched their speed before breaking apart. Japheth looked through all of them. Stormwright looping around the Phthia.
"I'm Shouki, the leader." he stated.
"Japheth Prime." Japheth warmly said to him. "So, why don't you tell me your story first, and then I'll tell you some of mine."
"Some?" Seizan asked.
Japheth just looked at Shouki, "We were on Terra, admiring Japan's train system. We heard the comm. between Seaspray and the Phthia about a Prime going to a lost colony."
"And, what?" Bulkhead asked, "You're just that slow?"
"Seriously!?" Kaen asked.
"It's not like they know fast we are." Suiken said to Kaen.
"We were working." Shouki replied to Bulkhead.
"K." Bulkhead affirmed.
"That's it?" Kaen asked.
"Do I look like I'm afraid of hard work?" Bulkhead asked.
"He looks like he could climb a mountain." Seizan eagerly said.
Japheth looked back to Master. "This world is beset by acid rain." He looked back to the Sunrise Thunder, "We are setting up a base deep inside."
"And we just wait?" Yukikaze asked.
"He wants us to help him." Kaen eagerly stated.
"It's hard for us to work on a world without train tracks." Shouki simply stated.
"One of you could carry more than me and Japheth could in a single trip." Bulkhead suggested.
Shouki thought for a moment. He turned to look at the others.
"Seriously?" Kaen asked, "Of course we're helping."
"Then we'll have plenty of time to chat." Japheth said with a bright smile.
* * *
Japheth and Bulkhead walked up front, with Getsuei in vehicle mode on their shoulders. Behind them was Kaen and Seizan with their shoulders under the Getsuei's rear.
"I'll give it to them." Suiken stated, "They certainly aren't afraid of hard work."
"Not exactly how I expected... to help..." Shouki said, trying to hide his disappointment.
"Alright?," Getsuei asked, "you were a Human, in a skin-tight suit, under Cybertron?"
"New Kalis has a bit of a reputation." Bulkhead stated, and paused a moment, "Miko loved it." He then sighed, "Right, you haven't met her."
"She scrapped the..." Japheth said, and paused, "Oh, we have to roll it back a bit. Megatron got a group of Elder Insecticons to work together. The best fighter of the group..." Japheth said, and then gave Bulkhead a nervous look.
"He took me town, hard." Bulkhead stated, "Though, he did have ToxEn."
"What - the - slag?" Seizan asked, "ToxEn?"
"Miko wanted revenged." Bulkhead stated.
"And she got it." Japheth said, and the two paused.
"Good for a Femme." Yukikaze said, as he walked beside the group.
"Except..." Japheth said.
"If you were paying attention, you'd know she's a Human." Suiken stated.
"Was." Japheth said, "But we haven't gotten to that part, yet."
"Alright, why were you doing this again?" Yukikaze asked.
"Because they asked him." Bulkhead uttered.
"Who?" Yukikaze asked.
"Yeah, I kind of forgot, myself." Shouki stated.
"The Forgefire Parliament on Caminus." Japheth stated, and paused moment, "Before they knew I was chosen as a Prime."
"What - the living - scrap?" Shouki asked.
Japheth looked at Bulkhead, "Didn't I cover that?"
"It looks like you forgot." Bulkhead uttered.
"That's a long story on it's own." Japheth stated.

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch31: Why me?
Miko looked at the doors a she leaned against a wall. "On one hand, I'm staring at a door. On the other hand, behind those doors are Terrocons. Mini-Terrorcons."
"Must you share Starscream's scheming out loud?" a Femme asked, nearly causing Miko to stumble as she stood up.
"Do you have to sneak up on me?" Miko asked.
"Sneaking?" Airachnid asked, "Is that what you think I do?"
"Slitering?" Miko asked.
"You're thinking of skittering." Airachnid replied, "If you are thinking?"
"Harsh."
"I figured you would be more interested in WHY I am here?" Airachnid smugly asked.
"Japheth asked you?" Miko asked, and Airachnid stared at her, dumb struck, unable to speak. "Okay, FINE. Why are you here?"
"He was worried about you." Airachnid neutrally stated.
Miko aggressively stepped forward, "Does he think I can't handle myself?!"
Airachnid gave her a judgemental look for a moment before replying, "He's worried you are going to abandon your post and rampage on ahead, like some other hulking brute who will remain nameless."
"You scrapping on Bulk?!" she accused.
"No." Airachnid uttered, "This might surprise you, but I have had many... encounters?," she wickedly said, "before meeting your lovely mottley crew." She looked down at her claw-like hands for a moment. She then looked Miko back in her eyes.
"And what does he expect you to do?" Miko asked.
"Probably die trying to stop you." Airachnid simply said, "For the record, I really don't plan on dying for any of you."
"And that's why you're just a Scout, and I'm the warrior-girl."
"Yes, well, I was Warrior-class before." Airachnid simply stated, "It honestly was not as good as was advertized."
"Yeah, that's because you were a slagging 'Con." Miko said to her.
"Yes, well..." Airachnid uttered, "Ethics have never been my strong suit."
"Bullshit." Miko stated, and Airachnid gave her a confused looked, "Bull... scrap?.. Lugnuts? Uh... something to do with a smelter?" Airachnid gave her a disappointed look. "Alright, point is, ethics were a problem for Knockout. You slagging knew what you were doing."
"Hm?" Airachnid asked, and paused for momentary thought, "True."
"So, what the scrap do you want from me?" Miko asked.
"To not go charging into battle without support." Airachnid simply replied.
"And if I get attacked?"
"Considering I'm unarmed?" Airachnid asked, and paused a moment, "Run." she said, and paused again, let the ire build up in Miko. "And get help." Miko just glared at her. "I honestly do not know what else you would expect me to do?" Miko continued to glare at her.
* * *
The twins stood at the console, Arcelia just behind them.
"This is." Skyburst stated.
"Fascinating." Stormclash added.
"None of this information is catalogued in the city proper." Arcelia stated.
"We've never seen." Skyburst said without looking back.
"Anything like it." Stormclash added.
"Yes, well, we'll have to take your word on that." Arcelia stated, and they stopped typing and turned to look at her, giving her a curious look. "Your reports are never complete, if they are filed at all." The twins just stared at her.
"She's got us there." Pyra Magna said from behind them.
"Can't we go and explore?" Dust Up asked.
Pyra Magna stood up properly, "We're working for Japheth Prime now. We can't just run around willy-nilly."
"Willy." Stormclash snickered.
"Nilly." Skyburst snickered.
"It's a real Human thing." she said.
"It is." Arcelia affirmed, and the twins stopped snickering, and turned to look at her.
"Really?" they asked at once.
"Told you." Pyra Magna stated.
"So, what are we doing?" Jumpstream asked.
"A more coordinated Willy-Nilly." Pyra Magna simply stated.
"Sounds like loads of fun." Dust Up uttered.
"Just admit you're having fun." Jumpstream challenged her. Dust Up looked at her and smiled.
* * *
Phantom Rider drove around the corridors as Zuo ran beside him. "So, who are you?"
"Who am I?" Zuo asked, "I have been the chief strategist for Master since a couple of hundreds years After the Fall."
"And... what do you think of?.."
"He is the anti-strategist." Zuo replied, as his theropod legs ran along.
"That bad?" Phantom Rider asked.
"Instead of using complex strategies, he relies on absolute trust of his subordinates." Zuo stated. "He is handling the logistics himself, and once it's setup, they can simply repeat the process. It is brilliant and difficult to comprehend."
"Huh." Phantom Rider neutrally stated.
* * *
"So." Stormclash said, and the twins turned away from the console, Arcelia turning a moment later.
"We figured out." Skyburst added.
"What happened." Stormclashe continued.
"Kind of." Skyburst uttered.
"Report." Pyra Magna said to them.
"Perhaps I could fill it in." Arcelia stated.
"Shoot." Pyra Magna stated.
"They landed on a planet that was... we can't call it a Cybertronian colony."
"Maybe?" Skyburst asked.
"An outpost?" Stormclash added.
"Wait-wait-wait." Dust Up stated, "This was during the Age of Wrath."
"Did... Cybertron have colonies?" Jumpstream asked.
"Duh." Rust Dust quickly stated, and everyone looked down at her, "Of course we didn't."
"Then how could there be a Cybetronian colony?" Dust Up asked.
"Outpost." Arcelia affirmed, and a pause followed as they all thought it over. "The most obvious conclusion."
"Is that it is..." Skyburst stated.
"...from the Age of Primes." Stormclash said with awe.
"We will inform the Prime when he returns." Pyra Magna tried to firmly said.
"As his concubine, that's what you call him?" Arcelia chided her.
Pyra Magna nervously looked about.
"They could not understand the writing." Skyburst stated.
"But it had coordinates." Stormclash added.
"We'll assume it was a warning." Pyra Magna stated. She paused for a moment, "Honestly, I don't want to wait, and just go on our adventure."
"I'm sure he'll bring us." Jumpstream stated.
"If you ask." Arcelia said, and the Rust Maidens all looked nervous.
"We are his Torchbearers." Rust Dust firmly stated.
"I do like the sound of that." Pyra Magna uttered.
"Even if we're not?" Skyburst asked.
"Torchbearers?" Stormclash added.
"You passed the torch." Arcelia gleefully said.
"And now we service the Prime." Jumpstream stated.
"Serve." Pyra Magna said to her.
"I know what I said." Jumpsteam said with a wicked smile.
* * *
"I'm supposed to be in charge." Arcee sardonically uttered. Sirenia stood to attention and saluted. "Very funny."
"Your orders, ma'am."
"Very funny." Arcee repeated.
"You haven't actually given us any orders." Wheeljack said, looking up from his welding.
"Uhhh?.." Arcee asked, "Carry on."
"Yes, ma'am." he affirmed, and went back to his welding.
"Careful." Seaspray chided him, "You don't want to get on her bad side."
This caused Arcee to "tsk. Why would he put me in charge?"
"Your orders, ma'am." Sirenia proudly said, still standing at attention.
"Don't make me hug you." Arcee sardonically said to her.
"Is that an order, ma'am?" Sirenia proudly asked, causing Arcee to sigh.
"Maybe ask about the status?" Roxana asked.
"They're still working on the barricades." Arcee said, looking at Wheeljack and Seaspray.
"The infirmary will not be complete until they return." Roxana stated.
"And the Rust Maidens?" Arcee asked.
"Why are you asking me?" Roxana asked.
* * *
Pyra Magna raised her hand to touch her right ear, "Pyra Magna." she stated.
"This is Arcee. Report."
"We have... alright, do you want the long story now, or when The Prime gets back."
"The Prime." Dust Up chided her.
"When - Japheth - gets back." Pyra Magna said over the comms.
"We can wait." Arcee stated.
"It is urgent." Pyra Magna stated.
"Absolute." Arcelia said to her.
"Arcelia says it's - absolute." Pyra Magna solemnly stated.
"Understood." Arcee stated. "I'll contact you whenever we hear from Japheth."
* * *
"How about Miko?" Wheeljack sardonically asked her, causing Arcee to Tsk.
"That is the worst idea you've ever had." Arcee admonished him.
"You're welcome." Wheeljack stated, and Arcee transformed.
"Did you want?.." Roxana asked, but was quickly cut off.
"The last thing we need is non-combatants there." Arcee stated. "Besides, Miko still has her armour."

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch30: Camping
Pyra Magna's stream blaster fired at the spark chambre of one of the shambling Micromasters that approached her. She eventually broke his spark chambre, and he collapsed. She quickly switched to a second. When it collapsed she switched to a third. As it fell, she spoke to herself, "It takes too long." She put her stream blaster in the small of her back and then transformed her hands into Rust Maiden fighting knives. She struck through the spark chambre of one with her right, and then turned, doing the same with her left. Her hands reverted as she forced the doors open once again. She climbed through and quickly closed them behind her.
* * *
Japheth watched as Wheeljack finished welding the platform to the roof. He jumped down as Bulkhead threw Moonracer into the air. She landed on the platform, holding onto her drag-bag for dear life. She put it down opened it up, and reassembled the upper and lower received of her sniper rifle.
"You... do this a lot?" Japheth asked.
"Only a few dozen times, boss." Wheeljack uttered, and Japheth's head quickly moved to the side. "You want to tell us what all of the fuss is about?"
Japheth looked back at the Wreckers, "Two Wreckers, to Pyra Magna's beacon."
"Anything more specific?" Miko asked.
Japheth's eyes narrowed, "Likely Terrorcons."
"I'll go." Seaspray simply stated, as he looked at Phantom Rider, "Does the rookie want to come with me?"
Phantom Rider's eyes could be seen narrowing for a moment before he nodded. Seaspray then transformed, Phantom Rider right behind him.
Japheth looked up at Moonracer, "Moonracer is camping." he then looked at Wheeljack.
"I'll protect her." Wheeljack stated.
Japheth then looked at Bulkhead and Miko.
"Who's cheeks do we have to clap?" Miko asked, and Japheth sighed. "Dude?" she asked.
"You two, get the rest of the Rust Maidens and bring them back here."
"Search and rescue." Bulkhead said, and turned, transforming, and rolling out.
Miko leapt up to transform after him, "Zombie hunting!"
"Zombie rescue." Bulkhead replied.
"Sweet." Miko added.
* * *
Seaspray turned sideways at Pyra Magna as she walked down the corridor. He uses his fan to spin around her before transforming. "Not exactly being chased." Seaspray said, without looking back at her.
"The door seems to be working." Pyra Magna said, as Phantom Rider slid to a stop in front of her before transforming. He disappointedly looked away. "And what's his problem?"
"He wanted to come rushing to your rescue." Seaspray said, without looking back, and paused, "So, what's the plan?"
"Return to the Prime." Pyra Magna simply stated, and Seaspray turned around to walk beside her.
* * *
Miko transformed into a landing. She turned into the open doorway and saw the twins working at a console. "Time's up." she said.
The twins turned to pout at her, "But?!" they both exclaimed.
"I'm just the messenger." Miko simply stated.
* * *
Bulkhead walked up as Dust Up and Jumpstream were struggling to lift up pieces of debris. "Need help?" he asked, and they would have dropped it if they had lifted it more than a metre. They turned to look at him.
* * *
Bulkhead moved the last of the debris. Dust Up and Jumpstream pulled a small chest out of the ground. They then looked at Bulkhead, "Could you?.." Jumpstream asked.
"Sir." Bulkhead replied.
* * *
Miko flew in, with the twins right behind her. The three transformed into a landing.
"Alright?" Japheth asked, "Where would Rust Dust be?" He looked about, to no answer.
"Hiding in the smallest hole she can find?" Moonracer asked from above, and Japheth sighed.
"Too close to the truth..." he uttered. "Who's the smallest one?" he asked, as he looked around. He stopped at Arcee.
"Scrap." she stated, and Arcelia giggled.
Roxana stepped towards her, "I can volunteer to crawl around with you." she said, "Maybe without our clothing?" she asked.
Japheth paused for a moment, "Actually, knowing her, she right around the corner."
Rust Dust stepped around a corner and up to them. Arcee "Tsk"ed.
* * *
Jumpstream and Dust Up drove up with Bulkhead behind them, and transformed.
"Alright, now that everyone is here." Japheth spoke, "Report."
"Mini-Terrorcons." Pyra Magna stated. Japheth then looked at the others.
"Things we want to look into?" Jumpstream asked.
"Explain." he uttered.
"Pretty simple." Skyburst stated.
"At times like this." Stormclash added.
"There is often." Skyburst continued.
"Something ancient." Stormclash finished.
"They... want to save us with, what, whatever-ology?" Miko asked.
"Archeology." Pyra Magna stated.
"Sure." Japheth stated, "The rest of us can setup a base."
"That sounds like a lot of fun." Miko pouted.
"We are a miliocycle away from a Terrorcon outbreak." Bulkhead said to her.
She paused for a moment, "Good point. Are we, like, going to do anything about it?"
"We're going to target the source of it." Japheth said, and no other sounds could be heard. "We need to know which direction to go."
* * *
Japheth looked around the room they had claimed. It had two entries, and The one to the rear went straight to the levels above them. He looked about everyone, "Me and Bulkhead are carrying the cargo."
"Why does Bulkhead have to do the heavy lifting?" Miko asked.
"Yes?" Bulkhead sarcastically asked.
"Yeah-yeah." Miko said dismissively.
"Arcee's in charge." Japheth said, and transformed towards the retire door. Bulkhead quickly transformed with him.
Arcee looked surprised and confused, "Wait, what?!" she asked. Japheth and Bulkhead just sat on their wheels. She looked at Miko, and that was obviously not the right choice. She looked at Wheeljack, and that was somehow worse. She looked at Seaspray and developed a curious look.
"No." Seaspray simply stated.
"And I'm so much better?" Arcee asked.
"It's easy." Seaspray simply stated, "Miko keeps an eye on the door Pyra Magna forced open. Jackie and me build up the defenses, and maybe some surprises. Moonchild is literally a sniper."
"And?" Arcee asked, and looked at Pyra Magna, "Pyra?"
"While we might not look like it." Pyra Magna stated.
"Or act like it." Rust Dust quickly added.
"But we are archeologists." Pyra Magna stated.
"Kind of." Jumpstream stated.
"Like she said," Pyra Magna continued, "in situations like this, there is often an ancient relic that will solve our problem."
"Solve, how?" Arcee asked, and Pyra Magna just shrugged. "But, how do you?.."
"I said probably." Pyra Magna added. "We honestly don't know, but it's worth looking into."
"And how much time is this going to take?" Arcee sardonically asked.
"Enough time that we have to setup a base." Moonracer said, and Arcee tsked.
"But why do I have to be in charge?" Arcee asked.
"What would Japheth do?" Wheeljack asked. This cause Miko and Bulkhead to snicker. "Alright, you're going to have to let me in on the joke."
"Maybe when I get back." Bulkhead said, and drove towards the door, Japheth quickly joining him. The door opened as they drove up.
"You know him the best." Pyra Magna said to Arcee, and Arcee gave her a confused look in reply.
"FINE!" she uttered. Roxana hugged her from behind. "I mean, it's not like I've ever actually been in charge."
"You did kind of act like it." Miko said to her.
"Yes, well, I got to nag everyone without having to actually take responsibility for everything." Arcee uttered. Roxana hugged her even more tightly. The advance doors opened and Twinstrike stepped inside.
Moonracer quickly moved her aim away and stood up, "Yo!"
Twinstrike walked up to the centre as his two heads looked around, "Where is the Prime?" the left head asked.
"Picking up supplies from the surface." Arcee uttered.
"Then who is in charge in his absence?" the right asked, and Arcee audibly sighed. Roxana hugged her even tighter.
"I think that's enough cuddling." Arcee said, slipping her hand under Roxana's arms, and gently pushed them away. She then looked Twinstrike in his right eyes. And then his left eyes. And then back again. She eventually settled on looking between them, "I am, unfortunately." she said, and Twinstrike stood there augustly. "Uh, report?" she asked.
"We have found the greatest of the corruption." the right head said, and paused.
"Will we not be pursuing it?" the left asked.
"Eventually." Arcee stated, "The Rust Maidens think there might be something that can help us out."
Twinstrike's twin heads looked about, before the right focused on Pyra Magna.
"It is kind our thing." Pyra Magna dismissively said.
"That, and your unique combining?" Twinstrike's left head asked.
"To be fair." Skyburst stated.
"It is unique." Stormclash added.
"No other Femmes can." Dust Up stated.
"Now that sounds like an interesting story?" Twinstrike's right head asked.
"Would you tell us?" the left added.

The Prime of His Youth: Book IV: Fire's Master: Ch29: Scatter
"Finally get the team back together," Miko said over the comms., "and they are treating me like a scout." She flew down the deep corridors of Master.
"You'd think by now you'd have figured it out." Wheeljack sardonically replied, "Being a Wrecker isn't glamourous. We don't do this to get our tailpipes polished. We do what has to get done. How do you think Bulkhead feels about this?"
"Someone has to carry the team." Bulkhead said over the comms.
"Yeah-yeah." Miko dismissed.
* * *
Gella looked up from the medical bed, "Blood, tissue, and hair samples have been taken. Creature has been tagged. I recommend the specimen be... moved as far away as possible."
"And how long is this going to take?" Wheeljack asked.
"Yes, well, biological analysis is a lot more complicated than simple chemical study." Gella neutrally said to him.
"Tell us when you have something, Doc." Wheeljack said to her, and Ratchet scoffed in the background.
* * *
"Master?" Sirenia asked, as they walked along deepest parts of Master.
"Siren?" he asked, without looking back. Siren just stared at him, until Arcee pushed her forward. She stumbled forward until she was walking beside him, nervously looking up at him. He smiled at her, and she suddenly remembered what she wanted to say.
"Master?" she repeated, "There is a?.. realistic risk that we are going to face Terrorcon Micromasters."
Japheth stopped and sighed so loudly that it echoed off of the metallic corridors.
"I don't see why that would stop you." Airachnid snarked, causing Arcee to give her an evil sideways eye. The Rust Maidens deepened their stances while Pyra Magna drew her stream blaster.
Japheth turned to look at Airachnid, "I... honestly expected it." he said. He turned forward, and kept walking. Airachnid looked completely stunned, while Arcee looked smug at how stunned she was. Pyra Magna stood upright and put her stream blaster away. He then looked at Sirenia, whom nervously looked back to him, "Thank you for telling me, though." he said. Sirenia nervously smiled and fell behind him.
"See?" Arcee said to her. Japheth stoppped once again.
"Courage already run out?" Airachnid wickedly asked. Japheth turned his head backwards, and the sound of helicopter blades could be heard. Airachnid gave him a curious look before looking back. "Expecting someone?"
"Miko." Japheth stated, "To ask if Twinstrike can join me."
Within a nanocycle, Miko arrived and transformed into a landing. Everyone stared at her, and she looked about nervously. "Dude, what's up?"
"Is this about Twinstrike?" Japheth asked, and Miko gave him a stunned look before nodding. "Okay, you're going to love this. You're staying with us."
"What, why?" Miko asked, before immediately thinking better of it.
Japheth turned to Airachnid, "Fly back to the ship, come back with Twinstrike and the Wreckers, and remind Ratchet to not tell the Micromasters about the Elite Guard in orbit." She just stared at him, "Understood?"
"U... understood."
* * *
"So?.." Jumpstream nervously asked.
"What do we do now?" Rust Dust quickly asked.
Japheth slowly turned to look at them. "Look around."
All 6 of the Rust Maidens deepened their stances to rush off, but then stopped.
"Uh?.." Pyra Magna asked, and Japheth developed a brilliant smile.
"I'm at the limits of what I can do with feelings." Japheth stated, "Spread out, explore every nook and cranny. We need to find all paths down passed the depths of the city." With this, all 6 of the Rust Maidens quickly scattered in pairs.
"Master?" Carron asked.
"Keep your eyes open." he said to her.
"For what?" she asked.
He thought for a moment, "For everything."
"Anything moves, and tell us." Arcee stated.
* * *
Airachnid stood as the hangar doors opened, and transformed to fly out. She flew until she transformed into a landing outside the Skyfall.
"Well, aren't you lucky that barnicle butt isn't here?" Wheeljack sardonically asked, and she just stared at him.
"As skilled as he is," Colossus' great voice uttered as she walked up, "he feels the need to create obstacles where none need be." Airachnid just stared at him, "You've come to report, haven't you?"
"And just why should we trust her?" Wheeljack asked, and Airachnid had to think for a moment.
"Because she was not shot down." Colossus uttered, "Skyburst and Stormclash can far exceed her speed."
"She is good at being sneaky." Wheeljack stated, "Skittering around where people can't see her."
"You..." Colossus said, and paused for thought, "make a valid point."
"Why would he send me here if no one would believe me?!" Airachnid psychotically screamed, and Bulkhead walked up.
"And where is she going to go?" Bulkhead asked, "He let her out into the acid rain."
"She's going to take the Skyfall." Wheeljack uttered.
"And do you really think she's be able to escape the Ion and Phthia?" Bulkhead asked.
"The Ion?" Wheeljack asked, and Colossus pondered it.
"Look, we don't have to trust her." he said, and the two agreed, "We have to trust Japheth, something I'm more than willing to do."
"Alright-alright." Wheeljack stated, "What can we do for you."
"He wants all Wreckers to meet him." Airachnid stated. "All you have to do is follow me back."
"And?.." Wheeljack sardonically asked, and paused, "he say why?"
"I still haven't figured out how he works." Airachnid stated. "For the time being, I'm just going to do what I'm told."
"Yeah." Wheeljack uttered, "That seems like it would work for you."
"In the mean time I need to speak with Twinstrike and Ratchet."
* * *
Twinstrike quickly ran down the deep corridors of the city. "The scent of the Prime is strong." the left head stated.
"As is the corruption that surrounds him." the right added.
* * *
The Wreckers, less Miko, drove and floated down the deep corridors.
* * *
The Wreckers transformed to a halt, taking a last couple of steps towards Japheth and Arcee, that simply turned and smiled at them.
"So, what's the big secret?" Wheeljack demanded.
"Terrorcons." Japheth stated.
Bulkhead slammed his fists together, "Good old zombie outbreak?!" he excitedly asked.
"Probably." Japheth said with a smile.
"Why are you so excited by that?" Arcee asked.
"Why is oil wrestling so wicked?" Miko retorted, and Arcee wasn't sure what to say to that.
"The important thing is we are." a relaxed Seaspray stated. "Now, for those of us who weren't there for the last..." he said, and then gave Bulkhead a questioning gaze.
"Zombie outbreak." Miko said to him.
"Zombie Terrorcon outbreak?" Seaspray asked.
"Break their sparkchambre." Japheth simply stated. He then looked over to Sirenia, Arcelia, and Roxana off to the side, "And keep them safe."
"And?" Wheeljack asked, and paused for a moment, "Where's the big guy."
"Trying to find the source of the corruption." Japheth said, and the Wreckers just looked at him, stunned, "A feeling of The Pit. This is why I wasn't surprised when Siren told me the old stories might talk about Terrorcons."
"So, just what in the slag are we expecting to find?" Wheeljack asked.
"The anti-spark." Japheth stated.
"Unicron?" Miko asked.
Japheth shrugged, "Or at least his blood."
"What in the slagging Pit?!" Wheeljack exclaimed, and Japheth just watched him, waiting for him to continue.
"Care to share?" Arcee asked.
"Gella found Dark Energon is the creature's blood." Wheeljack uttered, "Small amounts, but..."
"That would explain why they have a thirst for Energon." Japheth simply stated. "Energon and Dark Energon counteract each other. I am guessing it leaked into the water supply."
"We have to warn them!" Miko exclaimed, and Wheeljack just gave her a brilliant smile. "Let me guess, they've already figured that out."
"None of the Humans were drinking the water." Wheeljack simply stated, "And even if they do, they have Energon in their blood."
"Oh, right." Miko simply replied, "I forgot about that."
"How on beautiful Terra could she possibly forget that?" Phantom Rider asked from behind his dark, nearly opaque mask.
"You're still getting to know Miko." Bulkhead simply replied.
"The Rust Maidens are looking around." Japheth stated, "In the meantime..."
"We spin our wheels." Wheeljack stated.
* * *
The twins stood in front of an unspeakably ancient console.
* * *
Rust Dust rewired the door to get it open.
* * *
Pyra Magna forced the door open and pulled herself through.
* * *
Jumpstream's eyes illuminated the pit black room.
* * *
Dust Up was moving debris, barely seeing a hole beneath it.
