tips for depressed, chronically ill, & disabled littles

it can sometimes be hard to feel little when you spend a lot of time in pain, bedridden, dealing with scary big thoughts, or any of the other things that can accompany mental or physical disabilities so these are things i do to feel small with little effort

ᯓ★ keep soft blankets + stuffies near you

literally what’s smaller than having your soft little comfort plushes with you? this is probably the easiest thing i do that always makes me feel at least a little smaller

ᯓ★ download mobile games for kids

if you aren’t someone who can get up and down off the floor or if you’re in a lot of pain, or if its just a rough day and you want to stay in bed little kid games are good for feeling tiny

ᯓ★ play baby music or soft lullabies

if you’re not feeling up to playing at all and just need to rest lullabies and nursery rhymes are rlly good for helping you rest and helping you feel tiny

ᯓ★ age regression fanfic

this might sound silly by at a little with chronic pain something that genuinely helps me is mood boards, one shots, etc. about my favorite fictional cgs

ᯓ★ think of your ‘lazy’ clothes as baby clothes

toddlers and babies are almost always dressed in comfy soft clothes so if you’re always in your soft sweatpants or cozy pjs to alleviate discomfort it’s just like little kids getting dressed in their soft little clothes

ᯓ★ middle regression is always an option

if you’re worried about regressing because you have to take care of yourself (ex. handle a walking aid, medicine, etc.) middle regression is super accessible because you can be regressed and do a lot of the things big you can already do

middle regression can also entail less rambunctious/active play (videos games, reading, coloring, etc.)

ᯓ★ audio books

if you look up ‘audio kids books’ or some form of that on youtube you can find kids stories read aloud! its something super fun that can make you feel small and you can do it anywhere at anytime.

ᯓ★ calming kids activities

there are a whole bunch of websites that have ‘calm down’ activities for when kids are winding down from rambunctious play and i use those a lot (playing with play dough, sensory toys, singing abcs/nursery rhyme games)

ᯓ★ remember not all regression looks the same

you don’t have to do anything to be small or to be valid as a regressor, regression looks different for everyone. there are ppl who regress and watch horror movies or ppl who regress while doing big kid things like going to the store or to school. your disability, no matter what form it comes in, does not invalidate your regression.

~using the move aqua ring to entertain their trainer. I'd like to think making different shapes and swirling around water as if mimicking a baby mobile

~Two modes: one, very protective, about to attack anyone or anything that even looks at you with the lease bit of ill intent or two, very silly and playful

~Using the move clam mind when Kyogre notices their trainer is growing restless

~Probably better with older kiddos

~Being able to go to the ocean and ride on Kyogre's back like a paddle board.

~So many adventures without the risk of getting lost out at sea

~Lot of vocalizations like whale songs. Could be seen as lullabies.

~Getting into fights with Groudon, loosing track of time and suddenly being like 'hol' up. Where's the baby?!'

~Playing peek-a-boo by disappearing under the water

~Creating waves to splash in. A lot more controlled than the actual sea would be. Aka baby proof :3

~Not being aware of it's size. What starts as baby splash wars™ turns into a whole wave heading towards you. Ack!

Well, it finally happened! I regressed finally, and thankfully it wasn’t too rough on me for being the first time in a LONG while. Very happy- especially since I did work on some WIPs that should be coming out soon! Thank you for your patience : )

ok I love my friends and especially the ones I’ve gotten comfortable being out to about my regression and what that has entailed for me but dang are they making it hard for me to just be tiny tonight when all I want to do is cuddle up in bed with my charmander and be tiny 😭

Date ideas on a budget for your little one/Partner:

💖 Go to the dollar store and buy a bunch of cute things to craft with at home. Get some baby stuff and make deco pacifiers

💖 Go to the park and swing in the swing sets for a bit. Go later in the day when it's almost dark cuz usually there aren't many people there and you have the park to yourself

💖 Go hiking at a nature park, hiking around your neighborhood. Be sure to bring healthy snacks or little snacks so you can have a mini picnic while hiking and drink plenty of water

💖 Pick out shows you want to watch or movie series and get all your favorite plushies and blankets and pile them on the couch or bed to watch with you. Turn the lights down low and the volume up so you have a comfy movie theater experience at home.

💖 Go for a nice drive down a scenic route and talk about things you'd like to do in the future and how you'll accomplish them. Enjoy the scenery and don't forget to let the windows down and enjoy the smell of the outdoors.

💖 Cook little foods together in the kitchen and bake together. It's a great way to learn new things and bond together. Don't forget to lick the spoons clean!
