Some old Reverie concept art from allll the way back in 2023. I had just begun feeling well enough to draw again and fervently wanted to capture how what I’d gone through changed me as a person. And so, Dreami became Reverie~ 🌙🎀🪽

Okay so it’s been a little bit since I gave you all an update. Hopefully this is the last one of these I make before I start posting again! 💫

Firstly, the tablet arrangement hasn’t been working. I won’t go into specifics but basically I haven’t been able to get it half as much as I’ve needed to since March, so if you’ve been wondering why the wips just up and stopped, that’s why.

I may still get to use it every once in a while but even every weekend is crumbs in artist time, so yeah we’ll be eating mostly sometimes-colored sketchbook art until further notice. ;w;

And secondly, the “big rebrand”. I remember saying I wanted to make my comeback this big spectacle, as a thank you to everyone who waited so patiently all this time. But, apart from the tablet thing and life in general slowing me down-

Wanting to pull out all the stops like that made me put too much pressure on myself. I focused so hard on trying to make the prefect re-entry that each time something hit the fan I’d panic and shut down. And then spend even more time trying to bounce back afterwards.

So TLDR, I’m done trying to make everything perfect. I’m gonna reveal my sona’s redesign, post all the art I finished before my tablet broke, change my handle once I can think of something clever,,, and continue making art I love to share with you, all at my own pace.

I know it’s been a long time coming, but it’s all about to be worth it. Serious healing takes serious time so, as always, thank you all for being patient with me as I learn to be patient with myself.

Ok so quick long-overdue-update-time, my drawing tablet finally died on me last month. I’ve been trying out ibisPaint X on my phone, and so far so good! Lineart is a little tricky but my sister’s letting me borrow her tablet on weekends
