OOC/OTA Start-Up: Ideas and Prep

For people interested in opening up a story line in Dorne.

Taken —> Doran Martell

Doran Martell was the first born son of the previous Princess of Dorne. He became familiar with tragedy while he was still too young, as two of his siblings died before they came of age- forcing Doran to be raised alone and in solitude, which bred a sense of caution into him, in part, driving him to protect his kin and people. Doran understands what it means to lose, and the suffering it causes.

As he aged, he traveled the free cities, and met his wife, Mellario of Norvos, with whom he fell in love. And married. And suffered. But that was not all to be had. In his journeys he gathered knowledge and he opened his eyes to a bigger world. And at the end of all, his marriage, nomatter how disastrious, gave him some of his greatest treasures. His best mistake and accomplishment, his children.

Doran is a man of mind, analytical, calculating and logical. His vastly different personaliy sets him apart from his fellow hot headed Dornishman. Doran’s cold cunning and caution, fused with his wisdom has allowed him to ensure Dorne’s safety, dominance, and above all, power amongst the rest of the houses in the realm. 

He’s come too close to losing and it will not happen again. Not while he breathes.
